The human mind is still in their development stage at their teens. My age gap is limited to 20 yr difference so that I don't have to keep explaining myself. Lol

Why it that some content creators have this desire to expose their developing relationships on social media?
Is it for the sole purpose to generate more views or subscribers?
Just a personal opinion, I don’t think anything really comes good of it in the long run, as a simple connected conscious way of life of a province Filipina becomes more and more exposed to the madness of the western world 😎✌🏽
Question #1 I can’t speak for everyone but for me this is an everyday vlog so it’s really whatever is going on in my life which includes dating.

Hi Chris. I would appreciate if you can help me with an off topic question that I have about motorcycle registration time in Cebu city. They say that is takes two to three months to get the registration from Land Transport Office. How long did it take you to receive your motorbike registration after you paid for your bike assuming that the dealer did the registration for you ? Some dealers quoted me one to two months and yet others quote two to three months. I don't know which one to believe. What was your experience ?
It will vary honestly. It can take anywhere from two weeks to two months.
My bike took 6 weeks, but no plate number, only temporary. But that's no problem as long you have the OR and CR. My wife's car took 7 weeks, but included already the orig plate number. My bike was registered by the dealer in Sto. Tomas in Batangas and my wife's car by the Toyota dealer in Batangas City.
I have no experience, how it works in Cebu City. I have not so funny memories when it came to the extension of my driver's licence at the LTO Cebu. They had a lot of unreal reasons not to extend it. I was lucky that my son-in-law knew the head of the LTO through their biking group. That settled the issue right away.
@@1100_Rebels Thanks to both of you guys for shedding some light to this issue. I heard that many Philipinos don't bother with dealers getting the registration for them. They do it themselves in only a few days by going to the LTO and submitting an application. I thought if I can do it myself in a week, why wait for 2 to 3 months, which is what my motorcycle dealer quoted. I am wondering if anyone knows of any expat who did the registration himself instead of leaving it to the dealer ? .. as this is what I am planning to do. Feck the three months wait ! Life is too short for that.
@@ronindude9640 Yes, it is definitely annoying. Theoretically, you can drive your vehicle without the official papers, since controls are not very often made. For smaller bikes, the situation is different, especially in Cebu City, where the police is doing checks more often, especially in the evening (when I was still living there). Big bikes are not controlled that often, cars almost never. But it is not good advice to drive without papers, especially for a foreigner.
I am not convinced, if a do-it-yourself registration works faster, unless you have a buddy at the LTO. It is always good to have a buddy anywhere in the PH 😂. See my experience at the LTO Cebu and my licence extension. I never tried to register any of my vehicles, so in this special matter I am not well informed - no experience. But I assume, you will be facing a bureaucratic nightmare.
Injecting some grease money? Lagay, as it is called here? Not advisable, since it can backfire on you. Not all LTO employees (and other institutions) are fond to be bribed. There is some awareness about this issue now.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate your comments. My dealer's recommendations match yours exactly. I was told that renewing the registration annually after the first three years expired, one can do it himself without much difficulty but the first registration of a brand new motorcycle is very onorous and tricky, and is best left to the dealer. So, I will go with your and the dealer's recommendation. I will be getting my ACR card soon and after that I will apply for a driver's licence conversion from a foreign one to a local Philippino one. In LTO portal, I had a look at the requirements for converting foreign driver's licence to a local one and one of the requirements is stated as this -- "Must be able to provide proof that they will stay in the country for at least one year from the date of application". I don't have a clue how I can meet this requirement because I am on a tourist visa which I keep on extending. In the last renewal, I was told that 6 months extensions have been suspended. So, I had to do a two month extension. I am wondering how strict is LTO with this one and if they are strict, how does any expat on a tourist visa prove that they will stay in the country for more than a year ? Or is this another way of saying -- if you don't have an SRRV, forget about getting your foreign licence converted to a local one and instead of doing visa runs to another country, you will have to do driver's licence runs to another country every three months because your foreign driver's licence is valid only for three months each time after entering the country ? If you have any info on this subject, I would really appreciate if you could share.

The age gap doesn’t bother me and I think you guys did a really great job of explaining to everyone the reasons why age really doesn’t matter. But, the interview style with the camera overhead and you in bed, gives the implication that your relationship revolves around the bed. The overhead camera gives the impression of a mirrored ceiling that you find in a love hotel. The age gap doesn’t matter and I’m happy for both of you. Grade D- for overhead bed shot

There's nothing wrong with age gap relationships. Historically, it's actually been the norm. However, if you have no intention of marrying the girl, just don't do it. Don't F around and find out. When you eventually aggrieve the wrong party, they will find you and put you in the ground. Just a general admonition.

With divorce in the PH headed to the senate for signing into law, and a law already on the books to support aging parents, men are going to find themselves in a worse situation than the west if it goes tits up.

Hello Chris. I’m hoping you share more about this dating experience with us. What I would be most worried about is relating to a 21 year old. I’m not judging at all and am open minded. I appreciate maturity can vary greatly among people. Mary Rose seems fairly mature for her age. Although I can’t help but think she just graduated from High School 3 years ago. How is your experience so far relating to each other? I’ll share: I considered starting to casually date a young woman in her early 30s (so 10 years older than Mary Rose). She was not a Filipina, but from Myanmar. What I found was her maturity level was much lower than I expected + her English was quite limited making communicating easily and fluently not as easy as I expected. Perhaps women from the Philippines are more mature + English is more widely spoken. I’m really curious if you see a chance of a future, committed relationship with Mary Rose.
English knowledge as a dipstick for maturity? What about the foreigners living in PH for a long time and speaking no local language, be it Tagalog, Visayan etc.? Isn't this a sign of immaturity of the foreigner? Why is the English knowledge of her an issue, but his lack of local knowledge, although living in the country, is completely ignored? For me that's double standards or even colonialistic attitude.
@@1100_Rebels I don’t think anyone said English speaking ability is a measure of maturity. If someone did, I missed it. I certainly didn’t say that. How did you get this impression? There are many very immature people who speak English just as there are many very mature people who do not speak a word of English. So speaking English and maturity are completely unrelated generally speaking. Many people in the Philippines speak English. Whether they are mature or not is a separate matter. In other words, there is surely no correlation between English ability and maturity. Even if us expats study and gradually learn some Tagalog or Visayan which many do including Chris, it will most likely take many years of study and regular practice to even begin to approach the fluency of the average Filipino who has studied English likely all through primary and secondary school. Most, if not ALL, expats do not study Tagalog or Visayan in school in their home country. These languages were never part of the school curriculum in my home country of Canada. Meeting someone who already speaks English simply makes it easier to communicate initially and over time if desired, but in no way is it a measure of maturity. Nor is it an excuse for not learning the local language. A lack of English skill often leads to confusion and misunderstandings when the language being used is English. I’ve been teaching English in Japan for going on 14 years.

Here in Japan, I attended Catholic Mass today in English with an almost all Filipino congregation, plus met 5 new Filipinos while out shopping. One from Leyte, 3 from Mindanao and one from Visayas. Many OFWs from the Philippines are here in Japan. I often meet them. In general Filipinos speak far better English than almost all Japanese I meet which most often never speak a word of English - not even,
“Hello”. I speak basic Japanese fluently, although the Japanese tend to completely avoid talking to anyone they don’t know. It is far easier to talk with other foreigners in Japan, but I very rarely meet another Canadian or American in the countryside where I live. I meet far more people from the Philippines here. I started learning some Tagalog and Visayan.

You have some valid points. I think many of the 20/30 something filipinas are looking for older foreign men, not because they are gold diggers, or out to scam him, but to live a better life, as well as have a long lasting relationship. Lets face it, many good filipinas are looking for relationship, and it also comes with perks such as living in a condo in the city, or a new home, eating out at nicer restaurants, going on trips, experiencing things that quite possibly would never get to do. It is not wrong, they are just in a commited relationship that many have experienced for many years or even decades.
Maybe because they are treated better by American boyfriend and not cheated on. Age isn't as much a factor in Philippines as in other countries.
