you forgot to mention stage 0: have years of studying anatomy to be able to do such a nice sculpt.
Great sculpt btw :)
Yeah, it's true
No not really ! I did tht in 4 months ! Ofc everyone is different but I jst break it down to simple forms it makes it way easier ! Jst a quick note don't try to make simple things overly complicated jst imagine the rough muscle forms and shapes then work your way up to refine tht part don't jst go straight in like I need tht muscle to have tht perfect shape the triceps should be clear and all tht stuff tht stuff comes later so try to play with stylized base meshes jst pick one rough base mesh and try to sculpt pick your time limit and do it in a week or two u will notice the difference !
Asaro. Check proko's course and get some results real fast.
I thought that too, but I think many of us subconsciously "know" what is right.
Or you can just take a look at one of many muscle references, even for stylized characters. You get the hang of it quickly, and not getting them right is often visually forgiving.
I will concur, to a degree. But I disagree in the time length, it really depends on the person. Some can get it in weeks or months. I took years to get a light knowledge of anatomy and still have to rely on references, but that's because my artistic journey has had lots of gaps in between, and I've focused more on style than basics (I know, kinda shooting myself in the foot... but style is what brings me into art and is what I'm passionate about); I'd draw/model for a while, and then stop for an extended period of time. That kinda worked in my favor though, I tend to do great with breaks and come back better than I was prior; at the moment, I'd say I'm decent, perhaps even good at times, with anatomy, though there's defs still a lot to learn.
The creepier the better, okay so I AM doing it right 😆
yes you are
I think the same XD
Aight can I use it as model for my horror game?? 🤣
This comment gave me hope 🤧🙄😅😅😅💁🏾♂️
hahahahah
"i'll sculpt her some abs because... noice" A man of culture I see.
I cracked up at that line. My man! 👌👌👌👌
I love how they call her bra "Impenetrable armor"
One must wear armor in the ocean, I wouldn't want to mess with the sharks.
He's right though
i would've loved if he called it the b.attle r.eady a.rmor 😅
I literally just saw your comment in one of the dream short videos, what a coincidence
Woah didnt expect to see you here lol
I appreciate how fast you can explain what you're doing and showing it, obviously it takes longer and probably a lot of it is comfort with the software, artistic ability and understanding of anatomy. I find I always end up at a stage where my anatomy lets me down, my artistic ability does the same, and predominantly the software ends up being a losing battle, not knowing how to achieve certain results or fix errors.

"Because.... NOICE"
Can you make a tutorial telling the more detailed process like all the shortcuts and brush to use and where to use it? I’m new to blender I want to know how to sculpt.
Same, I literally wouldn’t care if it was an hour long or a stream
Look for the Grant Abbit beginner tutorials. He explains everything very good. He also has a character creation course
@@twinguy9633 im not new (ig your talking to the other guy) I'm just learning to sculpt
just search the old video from this channel, and i remember he said art takes a lot of time
This is the best one I've found so far
czcams.com/video/5d1vca8R43A/video.html
I really love how you make sculpting and modeling in Blender seem really fun
You dont get to see so many artists with this much humor😂😂
There’s a lot of nice details I’m noticing after practicing a few sculpts. Thanks for posting another one!
My pleasure :)
Fantastic sculpt-thru, straight-to-the-point process, and explanation. Awesome creepy work!
I've learned so much just from that 10 minutes. Thank you so much for doing these videos, it helps aspiring artists like me even a little bit.
I love these sculpt videos. Give me soo many new things to learn.
That was just amazing work. I'm in awe and trying not to be discouraged in my own progression.
I just downloaded blender and this has already helped me so much. Now I actually understand what I need to do and just need to take the time to make it as good as a can. You are really great at explaining this stuff.
Absolutely amazing! 10 steps for a masterpiece. Many thanks to give us that!
that was amazing! Thanks for talking through each step that you did!
You make it look so easy‼ amazing‼‼
this certainly should be a full tutorial! Loved it all.
All hail! The Rock Master!!!! hahaha awesome video with nice and friendly attitude
Rock on!
An incredible rock sculpting tutorial, and as a bonus, a character!
I am such a noob. I had no idea you could toggle the body geo to conform to the current armature pose in edit mode. You just made my life so much easier! Thank you so much! =) =)
I love this format. great sculpt
The lighting made the biggest difference wow
Brilliant. It's always cool to see how you keep tweaking and improving your workflow. You've come a long way!
Thanks!
This was such an amazing process! Great job dude!!
Thanks, glad you liked it ;)
Videos like this make blender look soooo easy!
The irony of a video that's filled with jokes also being amazing and full of great info :p
Also your comedic timing is perfect :D
Awesome overview of the process! Thanks
Loving this format Mr. rock sculptor!
I am sooooo dumb. I didnt realize you could pen it up in blender. Wellllllll this changes everything for me! Great tut! Going to keeeeeeep practicing :)
when you switched over to the eevee render, i genuinely gasped
This was really helpful. Thanks for sharing
Rock master 😂😂
This looks incredible! Really love the way you pushed the shapes for the hair to make it so dynamic! Incredible job man 👏👏
Let me correct you,
The Rock Master
notice that your posting a lot recently and im loving it. Great sculpts!
Thanks xD
Good stuff man!! congrats!
I invested when I subbed to you, and it is apying off well
thank so much yan, i have learned a lot from you
Woah! You've done this before xD next level stuff man, awesome skills!
you have no chill
you getting over the PROFESSIONAL
Seriously, I've been trying to figure out blender for MONTHS! How are your sculptures so dang smooth??
Nice job. I wanted to suggest you experiment some with this newer Line Art modifier in Blender. It does seem more for outlines and I'd like to see it reveal contours or creases in the face more. Alas its maybe not ideal for that. Would love to see how good you could make it work (and the angle settings etc.). Maybe toon shades needed but if the face was clear with only the line art it would be greater. It's a really good improvement! Problems seen from side view are it follows polygons and not smoothed curved surfaces.
man amazing for you is less omgggggggggggggggggggggg you super amazing i swear i like your way when you explane i cant get bored keeep going bro and i hope one day i can be like you man you do amazing art work with blender
200% cooler!!! Thank you. This is amazing!!!
This was very interesting! I am curious, do you use quad remesher a lot? you seem to have such clean topology at the end stage. when I use remesh most of the time I end up with chaos. Also, is the Artist 22R worth it, I have a Innovator 16 atm, it's portable, but a bit small for general use. Would you recommend the one you got?
you know you're good when you make it look this damn easy
man you improved so so much!
That is one fabulous rock right there
What an creative process! Congratulations! It inspire us.
Thanks man!
This video is 231% cooler than I expected
Very impressive work!
The rock part description was hilarious XD
i love how he say "NOICE"
Great content i love it keep it up :P
Whenever he says impenetrable armor, i get reminded of B.R.A. or Battle Ready Armor from Kids Next Door
Nice technique!!!!
You make it look so easy
Amazing as always, that fractions +0.5% of coolness is worth it.
Dude, the sculpt is is Amazing, really Nice job, :D
Thank you!
It would be super cool if you did a video showing the actual keys/set up you use to start your modeling for 2.9 :)
Awesome video as always :). And thanks for creating one or two hard surface pieces (especially Metroid - there are a lot of cool workflow tips there). Also, keep your paid tutorials coming - I'm kinda addicted :).
Welcome! I will make a new course eventually, slowly brainstorming but for now I wanted to up the content on here!
I am so confused yet so intrigued by the world of 3D Modeling. Sculpting? I don't know what to call it but it's cool.
Seeing a model being sculpted from the scratch without any noticable time skips is something to behold.
Awesome!!! Also you can go with the creepy vibe and create a more Lovecraftian merperson.
Loving the synth outro song.
Thanks! I've used your sculpt techniques on my own sculpts, especially the hair curves. I love all your videos, and I'd definitely subscribe again if I wasn't already subscribed.
Amazing! 😃
Neat I love it good job buddy
AMAZING!!!!!
what a wonderful thing, man
Really great job. The sculpt is magnificently creepy. As always the video is educational while being very entertaining and I'd say this video is at least 158% noice, although I'll let you be the judge on that one.
awesome I subscribed without any hesitation .Thanq
Thanks and welcome
i had tears in my eyes watching through this video, i am not exaggerating
Great video.
One question though - when you add vertexes to extrude eyebrows/eyelashes it seems like they already have multiple modifiers applied to them - like shrinkwrap, subdivide/multires, solidify etc.
Do you use addon to add this geometry with pre-applied modifiers or do you do everything "manually"?
Hey Yan, I really enjoy your videos and you inspire me to sculpt. I know that this channel isn't tutorial based, but i would like to ask to make a video on how you sculpt your characters; in real time and not sped up. I am a beginner to sculpting in blender so i need some guidance.
It'd be so cool to see your characters animated, have you ever tried rigging and animating them?
Fantastic job, as usual!! Did you quadrimesh the body as well or is it manual retopo? In the minute 3'30 the topology of the body is quite good.
Beautiful!
Your creepy version still looks better than my final stage.
thanks man.. i really need this tutorial
Men, this is so cool🛐✨
This process is crazy💯
Thanks!
Pretty cool sculpt, Mr.THERockSculptingMaster
Question 🙋
when you sculpting do you using Dytopo, or just using "remesh" features?
Here Remesh
@@yansculpts Noice..
But is their impact to use Dyntopo??
@@kerhabplays Hey, I think I do know the difference! I'm still learning how to use blender too, so take this answer with a pinch of salt, but apparently, Dynotopo smooths through creating TRIANGULAR faces and Remesh with SQUARE/QUADRANGULAR faces. "Why does it matter?" you might ask! Well, if you want to animate or rig your model, try as much as you can to keep the faces quadrangular, this will allow a much more seamless distortion when changing the character's pose. Triangular shapes are stiff, so having many of these facesin your sculpt will deform the model when rigging. Hope this helps!
@@kerhabplays In other words, yes, there IS impact, answering your question lol
simply amazing
Thank you!
Your Stage 1 Creepy Character looks better than my finished ones...
But I love your commentary, great work :D
Glad you enjoyed!
Amazing!, best sculpt video so far, is it difficult to Rig with so much polygons? And how did you vertex paint over a color?
Such talent. Thank you for sharing! What type of monitor/drawing display are you using?
I think SketchFab is the best place for sculpting artists to showcase their work. Environment artists (like me :P) spend hours making sure that the render looks perfect, but only from the camera's pov.
i love your work i love blender
Ca à l'air tellement simple comme ça... En tout cas, tu donnes vraiment envie de se lancer dans Blender ! Merci pour ta vidéo
De rien!
Awesome video as normal!
Thanks!
new here, will probably find it in another video but have to ask- how did he "merge the rocks"? or the fingers to the hand for that matter? new to sculpting and this tut is super inspiring!
So when you add another sphere for a different body part are there any setting you use to make it optimal for sculpting or do you just start sculpting right after creation?
Me 1 hour ago: Ow, it looks awesome, it's so easy .
Me now: I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE THE HEAD FOR F*CKING 1 HOUR
He made it looks so easy
This guy could literally remake every Walt Disney film and probably make it 10 times better.
As if it takes only one person to animate a feature length film.
Creepy nice!!
I would love the "Penetrable Armor" version in the future ;)
I wasn't gonna comment or like, even at 178 % coolness, but that extra .5% coolness won me over Yan
NOICE
