Hey Majin do you think T8 will be as fun to watch from a spectator’s perspective as T7 was? And do you think legacy skill will be as important as it has been in the other Tekken games?
It should be as fun, if not, more fun for spectators. The upgraded graphics and intros will definitely add more flavor to the viewing experience. Yes, legacy skill is still going to be important because most of each returning character's move list is full of moves they've always had. Learning all of that will take time for a total newbie to Tekken.
@@lilmajin thanks for the answer! Looks like most of the characters are quite strong for the beta and with the lack of 2D characters maybe we will see more character variety in top 8s
@@lt_johnmcclane lmao you say that as if 2D's are still wrecking t7 tournaments or something. Other than Atif, and SouperAkuma how many players are consistently making it to top 8 with 2ds? Usually you see one 2D in most top 8s, at least for the last year or two
@@faizanahmad7730I don’t watch every tournament but off memory Meo-il played Geese in Top 6 in EVO and last years TWT was won by a character from Street Fighter. Chickurin has also had a lot of recent success playing Geese. Maybe it’s better now but there’s been a whole lot of Geese and Akuma over the years

you only can map the same number on keyboard as on other controller because you first need to map in the settings the R2, R1. L2, L1 and so on to the keyboard keys and the rest cant be used except maybe you have a programm that maps your keyboard keys to other keyboard keys but then you would have the same button twice

Do you guys think somehow the head system should be reworked? I think it,s somehow strange having it every round and just spam it without really valuing it like the gauge akuma and geese.
Yep. It's kind of obnoxious as spectator tbh. I'm sure it's not as a player, though. But I do think the heat system should be more technical and used strategically.

Been playing the demo of Tekken 8 a bit. I'm a SF player that's watched a bunch of Tekken 7 content think it looks good but I just didn't want to commit to learning a different game especially with everyone saying how hard Tekken is and all the talk about legacy skill being so big but I'm just diving into Tekken 8 on release. Hopefully I can pick it up quick without getting too discouraged. Kind of leaning towards Jack 8 and Paul but I can't actually decide on what characters to learn.
Jack and Paul are good learning characters. Legacy skill is a thing, but its just like SF. More you play, more you know. Just helps people know the moves and matches. Not as hard as everyone makes it out to be tbh

Lars player since T6 here. All I gotta say is he’s right about the identity thing. I was actually proud of how good I was with him despite the low pick rate. I hate mirror matches so it just takes a bit of the excitement out of the game for me. Especially knowing I really had to SWEAT in T7 to win with him but it was a rush. Oh well. For sure still looking forward to the game though 🔥🔥🔥

I’m confused because I saw a video where Arslan said that the Heat system didn’t really have any depth and everyone just spent it at the beginning of matches but it didn’t seem like anyone was really doing that
That's what they were doing during the network test but he shouldn't known that wasn't gonna be the best way to use heat lol

one thing this at least proves is players who don't know the Azucena matchup do not have the cracked version downloaded which is actually shines a positive light on those players in an unexpected way. (btw don't misunderstand i'm not saying Arslan did have the cracked version since there is no 100% proof he did. im just pointing out this unexpectedly shows us the top competitors who are very honest behind the scenes)
