Mid-Drive motor electric bikes are known for their relatively strong torque due to their ability to utilize the gear ratios of the drive train unlike a hub drive motor. If you're looking for a hunting ebike or an ebike to pull a deer or something to ride through tough terrain that requires exceptional torque for a stop, the Haoqi Cheetah Pro electric bike could be good option for you to consider.

I sure expected more out that thing.
Agreed, I was actually looking to buy this a couple weeks back. I'm glad I waited until Matt tested and loaded up this video for us to see.
Yes, this bike is a HARD PASS for so many reasons.
Matt, I was thrilled to see the helmet on yer noggin. High five brother.
Love this channel. Most of the bikes featured aren't for me. However, I'm learning the emoto lingo and a few math formulas to make sense of different battery and motor specs.
Thank you, 6'5", 200lb happy dude. You are appreciated.
Haoqi is killing it with the sheer number of different models and frame variations. Thanks for the detailed power delivery examination. Really great review Matt.
Hey, you make the best ebike reviews on CZcams, thank you
Why does every ebike just have a cheap 7 speed cassette but the sheer excitement in this dude is worth so much.
Cause these are cheap ass bikes. If it wasn't for the pandemic shortages causing the market to go nuts these generic drop shipped chinese bikes even with mid drive would be 1k to 1.2k tops.
Having to go thru gear changes when you need to accelerate is l big NO NO for me. And a $3.2K price tag is crazy, they must think Camo is going to fool us like we're in the jungle. Lol. Not to mention they've been using that same cheap frame on virtually most eBikes because of its easy availability and versatility. The battery options on that Haoqi is also shame, they are literally trying to rake in more dough with those cheaper options. You can get the same frame with a 1000w front + rear motor, same dual battery setup but with 48V 15Ah + 48V 20Ah equating to 35Ah for a third of that Haoqi price. If you want Bafang and Samsung/LG options and don't mind waiting about 2-3 months for it to be built, it'll cost ya in a range no more than $2K. I'm not affiliate with any company, I'm just resourceful and a fellow PEV'r.
Your reviews are awesome and funny btw. Thanks!
I agree 100%.
48V 22AH HIGH-TECH SAMSUNG BATTERY
The bike he's reviewing doesn't come with that. Not to mention, I've never heard of a Samsung Cell with 22Ah. I know many battery cells with 22.4Ah, which are fake. 4 Pin 22.4Ah batteries can only push 20Ah. @@ebikehaoqi4114
With some LCDs, you can only get into the settings within a few seconds of switching on, so you have switch off then on again, then press the two buttons.
Glad to see you started wearing a helmet! Great video as usual
This may be the bike I need to do my trip from San Diego to Vancouver WA!
I think this bike is way overpriced for what you’re getting
Yeah especially since you can get a good bicycle for cheapish and a cyc motor(8kw max mid drive motor) with a 20ah battery for under 2.5k(if you find a good second hand bicycle)
Value is subjective.
An abundance of options comes with a vast price range.
I'm interested in buying a Surron Ultra Bee. I'm told, incessantly, that I can get a good gas dirt bike for trail riding for a lot less.
I want an Ultra Bee. Who but I should care?
And mid drive motors last a quarter of what a hub motor would. So even worse for the price
@@The10thManRulesits subjective if you compare apples and oranges. If he considered a talaria and compared the specs I’m sure you wouldn’t completely ignore the suggestion then lol. Both electric
Shitty bike for the price.
In my opinion it's hard to justify that kind of money for a lot of these new e-bikes, especially when you start comparing them to the Talaria xxx and Wired Freedom.
I agree this bike is way over priced. But don't buy that garbage either. At 2.5k and up people can buy good bikes from their local bike shop.
3K is mucho dinero for this ride
Very much agreed. I don't have a problem with cheap bikes; but they need to actually be cheap. These are marketed to people that don't know what a bike should cost. At this price you can get an entry level Trek or Giant ebike. It won't be full sus, but the suspension in this is garbage and the Trek or Giant will come with a name brand fork that destroys this. Along with sized frames, better brakes and much better casette.
I would love to you see you review the pedal electric awd s
Hi Matt, really appreciate your work! It would be great if you could consider reviewing Biktrix bikes. We've reached out through a few emails but seem to have missed connecting with you. Just a heads-up, we don't fall under the category of brands that exclusively sell directly from China, in case that's a focus of your reviews. Looking forward to your thoughts!
I definitely positively don't want a mid drive e bike . If you need to hill climb get a dual motor. If you want to do signal track mountain biking a mid drive is better . But for everything else it's a dual hub motor for me
Dual hub motor is stupid.
I'm going to be honest, sounds kinda overpriced for a 1000W mid drive motor'ed ebike.
It's not even a 1000w.
That'd make a good triple motor bike. If you take the speed sensor off of the rear wheel, it should go faster but you might lose your speedometer. I had a middrive with a speed sensor on an older e-bike and it kept limiting me to 20mph.
I have the not pro version and would HIGHLY recommend the cheetah it’s an amazing bike
Hello I have the cheetah my visual display does not have a option to change Specs of bike try holding down the difference button combinations but was met with no love is there any advice you have ?
For nearly the price of a Talaria XXX, I'd expect more battery... It would also help if these mid drives had a separate drive chain, they don't really do great in higher gears anyways
Ok you absolutely rock! I have totally been ready to buy a EBike but can't make decide. I am the same height and build as you so with that said could you tell me the bike to buy please and If so I will purchase from your channel right then. Help help please
Thank You
To unlock the speed limiter, turn the bike on and then immediately pull both brake handles 5 times in 5 seconds. This is what Haoqi told me for my rear-hub Cheetah and it works, but it sucks because you have to do it every time you turn on the bike.
you should add a shift sensor very easy to do
Yea Tallhappy I like my Velotric Discovery one Yellow babby.
If I had a mid drive. I would for sure look around to get the widest range gear cassette. Like 11tooth or smallest top gear to 48 or lowest 1st gear. And look to see if possible to go old school with the crank gear and see if you can double or triple that like the old 10 18 21 or what ever speed bikes in the day.
I just got one of those digital voltmeters, what setting do I put it on and how do I know where to put those prongs? Unfortunately my new bike doesn't come with a readout on the screen any help would be very appreciated
I hope this has more to it
Sorry, I meant worry, not "would." Thanks, love your channel
I got a full sus bagang 1500w e-bike with air shocks 48v and a thumb throttle coloured display and tubeless wheels with all modded stuff for £2000 ? Is that any good it only had 110 miles and can do 50mph
Maybe if it was a thousand bucks cheaper. Would LOVE to see your review on The JUICED RIP RACER Class 3. Thinking of purchasing one. ( hint-hint ) LOVE ❤ ☮👍
Watching that 20% grade, not a chance that's 150 NM torque
Looks like hard limited to US law. 750w and 32km/h.
I hate speed limiters, I paid for all of the power so let me use it all!.
WOW I expected WAY more performance from a 1000 w mid motor bike ! Soooo glad I sprung for the 2024 Wired Freedom instead for a $1000 LESS !! However ,I do like the white reflective side wall tires on this Cheetah Pro bike.
The wired freedom blows everything else out of the water
Any word on how to open the controler to get this bike past 20mph?
Nice bike.
The GOAT is here!
I'd be interested to see you prove just how efficient mid-drives are versus hub-drives to see if they're worth the extra maintenance, complexity, and efficiency from the perspective of an average commute biker. Obviously, they're best in certain scenarios such as off-roading and hauling but my assumption is if you don't do either of those then there's no practical point in going with a mid-drive. Like buying a 4x4 lifted pickup truck when all you need it for is grocery shopping.
Great video. But I would about the extreme break down... broken chain! A hub bike can still get you home. Bike appears okay. Thank you
The climbing seems strange since BBSHD wich has the same power and torque was able to ride at 15mph on 17% hill using 40t:34t gear with 52V Samsung 35e 14s6p battery on throttle only. System weight 120kg.
I have always avoided having sand get near my cogset
I think it is the fastest way to permanently ruin your bike until you are forced to strip it and clean it.
The power on that bike is seriously lacking for a "1000w" mid drive motor. I Converted a regular MTB bicycle to eMTB by attaching a 750w Befang mid drive motor kit to it and it will destroy that bike. It can put out 120nm of torque that will take me past 30mph on throttle only and if I hit full throttle from a standing start in anything higher than PAS 1 I'll pop a wheelie so high that I can flip over backwards. If you want a strong mid drive bike I'd recommend just converting a bike you might already have with a conversion kit for half the price of that thing.
Agree, a kit conversion was the best way for what I wanted.
this bike achieved all targeted items on my list, then they neuter it's balls with the limits!!!
is there a bike that has all these without the limitations?
My car and motorcycle have manual transmissions but I prefer a hub drive on my ebike.
This convinced me mid-drive is not for me, torque? Sure! But the additional wear and need to be shifting all the time overcomes most advantages, at least on this cheapo component setup.
I wonder if this was one of those stolen wired?
The software is really holding this back. This is a 1500w motor and controller. It’s too bad it’s locked out. I have the same basic motor and I can hit 35 mph and 1700w on throttle
Not for me, for that price!
Turn the bike on squeeze the left/ right brake handle 5-6 times. This should give you 28 mph
😂
When you squeeze the brake you must do this within a few seconds.
@@user-ve1kv1mt4i is correct. Squeeze left brake lever 5-6 times within the first 5 seconds of power up
Not sure why there is a constant mention of it being so torquey when you couldn’t get it from 0-20 under 10 seconds. 🥴
All that power and a walmart freewheel?
any bikes you want to sell?
Seems quite regulated
$2000 is more reasonable price.
Love the camo.. Definitely overpriced!🚴💥
These mid-drive bikes are more trouble than they are worth! I will stick with hub motors!
Will you please give my wife and myself that bike?
Get a job and buy it yourself
Hm, hmm, hmmm, uhh, well, hmmm!?.?? Absolutely 💯 maybe or maybe not?.?
90 mile range...hahaha !
I can see it doing that at pedal assist 1 pedalling only.
AND SO IT BEGINS! Legislation has been introduced in New Hampshire to classify any ebike THAT GOES OVER 15MPH as a regular motor vehicle and require registration, plates, licensing and insurance. And thats just the beginning. I've been warning about this for a year and YTers like this who post videos encouraging speeding, reckless riding and altering the safety protocols while aimed at teens are partly responsible. Look for similar legislation to be proposed in most other states over the next 12-24 months. A few Jeff Spicolis and 20%ers ruined it for everyone.
Lame bike !!!! Thank you for the information!!
I pity anyone that buys this bike.
The Rhino is the one to get. This thing is slow
No I don't need one I got my Velotric yellow bike buddy.
Fazer teste de velocidade em pista cheia de pedestres... escolha péssima
Only one word comes to mind with this bike - lame.
Thanks for showing what a waste of money it is for this piece of junk.
I know i can't pedal that fast so what's the point of having pedals 😅😅
seems like a good bike...for 1-2k
It's really too bad that for $2999 you get a crappy SIS Tourney 7 speed. They cost under $20 to me it's just a Mid Fi bike with
Mid Fi parts. Their is a number of company's selling Mid Motor bikes with stellar parts that do well over 28 that will blow
this bike out of the water. I was hoping for a lot better bike..
