My poor mom got this when she was about to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I will never, ever forget how I thought it was all a part of the entire situation of whatever was going on with her at the time, fibromyalgia, being permanently disabled after a job injury. Her getting older. I thought it was all regular/normal.
I never put two and two together and realized she was stressed to a level I had never known could exist for her. Because she was ALWAYS stressed as it was. She was sick my whole life. It wasn’t news.
I remember not understanding the severity of the pain she felt with this rash. And I won’t ever forget how I told her to dismiss the itching when that was the final precursor to the cancer diagnosis. Please believe your relatives and instead of underestimating their level of pain and discomfort; know that you could possibly be virtually clueless to how awful their body actually feels. Make sure they’re going to their pcp and help them if you can, it’s hard for them to just exist when their bodies are fighting against them.
Had painful cysts on my throat and jawline for years. A food intolerance test told me eggs and almonds were the cause. Hope this helps at least one person.

@@elvilopez7910i have hyperthyroidism and my eye brows are thinning but they've always been thin as so have I. I'm taking metoprolol and methimazole.
My husband had a shingles outbreak when he was in basic training for the Army. It was terrible but thankfully its never showed up again.
If your husband is older than 50 or will become 50, shingle vaccinations would be recommended to prevent recurrent shingles. Please consult with your doctor.

I had shingles all over my abdomen and back when I was 10 and it was the most excruciating pain ever. My cousin had it when he was less than a year old. It’s very unusual for children to get it.

Welcome to childhood vaccine reactions that they won’t tell you about. You’re not alone. But now since we see this in so many adults after getting the flu, shingles, or other vaccines, I’d say it would be prudent to abstain.
I have AWFUL eyelid rashes that I’ve been dealing with for months and nothing helps… I think this video was a sign
I had that problem also from my workplace when working in the paint and flooring department at a hardware. It was so itchy. I used cortisone from any drug store. Took the problem away in about 4 days.
systane eyelid wipes really help as does erythromycin ointment
My mom had this when I was a teen. It turned out it was from the print of the newspaper (she read two papers a day) coming off on her fingers and then transferred to her eye lids when she touched or rubbed them.
Is he taking about just regular nail polish? I use nail polish but one that is free from all bad stuff. I never have used gel or fake nails.

I have Shingles for the 6th time, it sucks. When I had insurance, I wasn't old enough for the vaccine, now, I am old enough and don't have insurance.

There is treatment available. Have you been to an endocrinologist? You take a pill every day for the rest of your life. It’s inexpensive thankfully.
I got shingles for the first time at 23. My doctor was absolutely floored and told me I was way too young to have them. I was convinced around the same time that the job I was at was going to give me a heart attack.
Omg that is way too painful! My 67 yr old dad had em 4 yrs ago! Horrible! I heard horror stories about it being more painful than child birth

Got shingles at 17; I was in all honors classes, had a job, did poms and cheer in HS, did ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical, assistant taught ballet (my family was poor so I did this from 12-17 to lower the cost of my classes so I could stay in my studio) and did private leasons, babysitting some of the kids I taught dance to for extra money, and my father figure was dying of cancer. I don’t think most 40 year olds had that level of stress. I take L-lysine every single night and try to reduce my stress. I haven’t had a breakout of shingles in many many years. ❤

@@allison7483 Poor immune system, doing too much and getting run down, and severe stress are the biggest factors in coming down with shingles. Did she have anything going on with being ill and immunocompromised? Because that could start it. Autoimmune diseases could be enough to have it happen. Or she could have had abuse you didn’t know about. I’m sorry she got it so young. It can be really difficult to manage. Especially early on.
I never get my nails done not even polish and only the left eyelid towards the front is experiencing eyelid dermatitis? If it’s that, it’s pretty mild though. I moisturize it and have put Aquaphor on it.

I get eyelid dermatitis but almost never paint my nails. It sure what causes it but it comes every winter especially. Ugh, shingles hurt! Got them around age 37 the weekend we were moving in to our home.

I have really bad allergies and when i was a kid, my mom refused to medicate me. If my allergies are acting up, my scalp/eyebrows get INCREDIBLY itchy and i ended up scratching 2 permanent bald spots into my left eyebrow. But at least now im 28 and getting immunotherapy! Who knew cats were kinda cool and bread is good?!!

HSV doesn't always make it to the surface (or the end of the nerve) the virus comes out of dormancy 3-5 days before appearing on the surface ( if it even reaches the surface before your immune system gets to it).
It also doesn't just come from stress.
So if i have hypothyroidism my hair will fall out more and ill have hair loss faster then normal?

Skin tags are common in pregnancy. I always got a couple and never had diabetes.

From research, I’ve always felt I may have hypothyroidism. Then I’m told my thyroid tests are normal. The idea has nagged me for years. What other ways are there to confirm it without the standard tests?

This is the second post today to mention hypothyroidism in connection to conditions i have been living with for decades. But, acvording to my "doctor" it's fine, it's fine, it's all fine!.🙄
Maybe ask to see an endocrinologist? If you aren’t getting answers or feeling heard it’s time to change doctors.
I was affected by the Chicken pox epidemic at 1993. I was in 1st grade, back then there wasn't a vaccine yet until a year after that. Most of the children in my grade had them that 1 section only had 3 kids in a classroom. My doctor said that I was lucky mine didn't flare up too much like the other kids because of our previous immunizations, however I had them twice. The second one showed up at summer a year after I had chicken pox right after I got the immunization.
Since I hit 34, every July it would show up plus palpitations. I didn't know it was caused by stress too. I went through a break up that time and it was rough 🤧😭 now I know why.
My doctors don't take my thyroid seriously, my eyebrows are just there lost some hair ,they say my bloods are OK. I found out that my stomach is not absorbing the pills.3 pharmacists told me I need to see the doctor I can't get a appointment been trying for months. Its ridiculous in England to get a appointment.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 2 months ago and I’ve been on Levothyroxin. Also last week my 11 year old daughter noticed my eyebrows suddenly look really thin. Actually she asked if I had shaved half of my eyebrows off! 😶

I've had eyelid dermatitis for twenty years and never wear nail polish (and make-up for that matter) maybe once a year, so there goes that theory.
I've had shingles twice in the last year.. I'm getting my masters degree and under a lot of stress. It's a super painful rash and I've had long-term nerve pain

Yes, shingles and HSV work the same way.. but they are different viruses. They both lie dormant in the nerves and cause outbreaks
Yes. Its in the same family. Virus hides in nerves. Weaken immune system causes HSV breakouts and shingles

See your dermatologist or ask your regular doc. they simply spray it and they fall off in a few days. I had it done to remove a few was afraid of sweaters rubbing the neck area and cause trouble. Is real easy and painless. Wouldn’t suggest trying at home.
Oh wow. I just got put on thyroid medicine and my eyebrows are like that. They were always thick and bushy.

OK so I recently had shingles which I never knew I had chickenpox. It was a small leaf like blisters shape thankfully but on my butt but the pain down my leg holy crap so sensitive to the touch... So question I been stressed for a while so does it matter how stress you are?

You should talk to your doctor and they will advise you on what tests to do

Can be easily sprayed and frozen at docs. office. People trying stuff at home could end up getting infections and end up worst in ER. 🤦🏻♀️

Sime people do because of the cost of treatment. I had two American friends who told me their moms removed it with thread and medicine from online. I was shocked to hear it but people do it more often than not.

I was having a horrible horrible reaction to gel nails my fingers were breaking out as if I had poison ivy. It looked just like those blister and full of water itched so badly. Well I have had then off for over a month and I'm still having these horrible itching blisters that will bleed from me scratching but they itch sooo bad I don't know what to do I have tried every ointment ever made lotions steroid creams Vaseline nothing works.
Please beware of getting your nails done. Make sure you see them cleaning the tools
