About the prostitutes in Vegas. Not only single guys. Back in 1983 we had a manager and his wife take a Vegas vacation, and she came to pick him up after the first day back, and as we wound down chatting after work she complained about the prostitute who propositioned him while they were arm in arm. She said "he's my husband!", and the prostitute rudely, snidely said, "I'm talking to HIM, not YOU!" They were laughing and we were all shocked about how absurd that scenario was.
To Jacobs point about walking, I visited in August 2022 for three days to see a Raider exhibition game and wound up walking 40 miles in 2 days. I lost 6 pounds that weekend. Bring comfy shoes!

The scams on the strip don't bother me. I just walk right by and last year when I was there nobody even bothered me. I know Vegas is known for Gambling but I have fun doing other things. And I like and hate that the hotels are big but it is hard to get around or back on the strip. I'm lucky since I've been before I know how to cut corners and have fun without gambling. Yea I hate the bums but we have them in MD. If you do walk a lot just remember it's good for your body and brain. Moving and walking is good for you not to get deminia. I made a big mistake of going to Vegas New Years eve in 1996. It was so crowded with so many drunks in the streets. Never again. But other then that I have fun when I go to Vegas.

Guys. The big hotels are world class resorts in terms of accommodations and dining. Those don't come cheap and the costs are passed down to visitors. If you want to do Vegas on the cheap, book a hotel at one of the less fancy hotels, enjoy the pool during spring until early fall, buy your own liquor and drink before you go out and buy one or two drinks while you're out. Visit dining options off strip. Today isn't the Vegas of the 80s or early 90s but you can still do it on the cheaper side and still have a great time.
You should check out the Vegas Tesla loop downstairs at the resorts world! I'm a driver there lol

That's why I party off the strip a lot. I stay at Bally's but I go to Gordon Biersch's and Bahama Breeze on Flamingo and Paradise Road. Then over to Silver Sevens on the corner. Locals hangout. Fund and friendly dealers. Then to Ellis Island. Might go to the top of Mandalay Bay at a lounge called the Foundation Room. Best view of Vegas. Classy but pricey. Then (at the other extreme) maybe to the famous dive bar Dino's 90 meters north of the Strat. Or the infamous dive bar The Stage Door across the street from Vegas. You can have a blast there. Just don't spend too much time on the strip.
I have not been to Vegas since 2017, but it was getting expensive then. Still a great city to visit.

We recently visited Las Vegas.. weather was great.. lots of homeless people and the smell of weed is everywhere though. I expected top notch entertainment but only 1 show of 4 made the cut.

if you're taking a photo in public you own the photo, you can copyright it with US copyright office and sue the girls for blackmail. See how they react.
You know that takes several hours/days to process and would be incredibly expensive right? The whole scam is a numbers game, many people crack under the girl's pressure and just pay it to get out of the situation and avoid conflict.
For the people who refuse to pay the girls get aggressive, super pushy, or make a scene. But if you stand your ground, threaten to call the cops, or just leave there's ultimately nothing they can do, it's no longer worth it for them and they just move on to the next person.
The best way around this is to just say know to the photo.
Vegas is done for. The whole things exists now to bilk as much money from visitors as possible. Hotels with all their numerous fees, taxi drives, street performers, street hustlers all vying to rip you off. Then you have the fact that the gambling odds have went way downhill. The slots are tighter, odds on the table games have gone down. The food & drink prices are insane etc. More & more areas are getting sketchy. Quality is down all over the shop but the prices continue to go up regardless.
Vegas is probably one of those places that you need to go once in your life to get a life experience but for the monetary outlay expected over a couple of weeks, you could literally go anywhere else in the world & still save big. Go for a stag do/weekend but not to the tune of making it your yearly vacation etc.
Yeah my Dad took me for my 21st birthday back in 2008, different times. Never again.

Vegas has excellent opportunity to make money without a 4 year degree, I know almost no where else in the world where a chef for example can make as much money as they do in Vegas but the cost of living is as relatively affordable as what most suburbs around Vegas are.

The best thing about Vegas is how cheap it is to fly there. Rates must be subsidized somehow. At least from the east coast.Got round trip tickets last year for less than $300 that were direct from Richmond of all places! Past years it has been the same out of BWI. We rented a car and took a road trip north into Nevada and CA after landing in LV. You can see lots of places once you get there.

During our Mormon Mission I didn't have to pay for photos with Show Girls. .. I got my picture taken for free with Show Girls at the Mustang Ranch. Getting laid was $ 800 but the photos were free. I don't want to go back to Utah as I never got laid there.

They really need to work on the escalators on the south end of the strip. I walked from MGM Grand to the Cosmopolitan. Encountered 2 sets of really tall stairs, one was going up. Walking back to my room more stairs and the escalators that were working earlier were not and elevators were out of order. Seniors or someone who is disabled can't get around efficiently. I enjoy the south end but Vegas needs to do better with that area.
Great content! Watch both these dudes on CZcams and its awesome to see them doing content together. Parking fees is what really gets me angry. Not a big gambler , but won like $20 at Luxor last year. Yeah I get that a win like that is that is pathetic, but I am an anti-whale. Paid about $25 to get out of the parking garage. House always wins.

Did you see the recent news about the strip stabbing, or which a few "show girls" were some of the victims. The defendant claimed the girls were laughing at him I believe...
my luck with people here...I've lived in vegas a long time
Not everyone wants to smell weed but many of the pot smokers say to get over it the smell. But they are the first ones to whine when they smell the breath of a person who had a chill dog with onions on it. They have no leg to stand on when it comes to foul odors.
To add to what is said at 9:00. A few of the largest conferences that I'm aware of and have personally visited is; SEMA/APPEX Show usually first week of November. CES show normally the first week of January and SHOT Show which is normally 3rd or 4th week in January. If I wasn't there for any of these conventions I would book a different week. As I just returned from the SEMA show which hosted over 100k people from all over the world. Many of the Uber drivers was making comments to higher then usually volume during that week.

Spend an hour in front of Harrahs or Flamingo after dark and you'll be shocked at what you see lol

Went to Vegas recently and hadn't been in many years. Definitely has gotten more expensive. We have decent casinos home in Washington. The Vegas tables now are completely packed and have horrible odds/rules and force you to make terrible side bets. Rather play at home and just got to Vegas for the sights.
Don’t forget that those packed tables with terrible odds also have very expensive table minimums
Looking forward to you bringing May to Vegas Jordan. I've been 7 times now and mostly agree to this but I've never had any of the show girls bother me, beyond asking if I'd like a picture. The point about value is absolutely spot on too, my first trip it was so cheap but now it feels mid to high end almost everywhere on the strip.
Also agree on weed, it doesn't bother me hugely but you smell it everywhere now.
Also bums and crackheads has got a lot worse over the past five years, they really need to do something about that.
Clubs treating people who buy general admission like crap. They have become all about bottle service.

People that go to Vegas and complain about pot smoke are hilarious to me. That shouldn't even be in the top 50 complaints about Vegas
The problem is it is EVERYWHERE. I got no problem with people smoking pot but those that do could be a little more considerate of those that don't.
@Punk Slapper for sure, people in general should be more considerate of their surroundings. But people are already acting a fool, in much worse ways, on the strip. Both legal and not.
For example, I always keep my head on a swivel in vegas while smoking. I did this then lit up outside of NYNY, nobody within 100 feet of me, as soon as I light and puff a group of families walk outside and pass me. Like, I did everything I could do, it's on you at that point who brought your family out of a casino, haha
I'm a professional gambler. Vegas also does not like consistent winning although everything we do is absolutely legal. We get harassed by the casinos and sometimes banned with the potential threat of arrest from law enforcement. Yet, the marketing of casinos like to show how much fun it is to win. This is the farthest from the truth. They know that 99.9% of people who gamble will eventually lose. They're OK with making that easy money. The 0.01% of us that are actually profitable gamblers and work hard at developing our skills of making money are not welcome.

I know a couple of "professional" poker players but I didn't know there were "professionals" at craps, blackjack, or roulette.
Vegas is best … clean tourist place is Dubai no homeless no crime very clean no scam artist.
Vega is set up to basically be a fantasy location, the girls, the ability to smoke or drink anywhere, the marijuana and of course the plethora of shows that cater to almost every taste imaginable, for most it's paradise excursion of the senses for weekend getaway, which there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion, just not know what you're getting into before you go there and pakn accordingly and you should be fine.
That being said it's sad to see scams go on there, you know it's kind of funny when people say they get scammed in countries like Mexico or even more so in Colombia with crony sales people, scantily clad women who may or may not be prostitutes (some are just escorts in Colombia but certainly both exist) and the like because very similar things happen right here in the US, it's like brah, check your own backyard before you go complaining about these other countries lol.
Vegas is expensive and it is something you should do once in your life! They really need to clean up Vegas . I’ve seen homeless people inside the casino, lack of security, smell of weed everywhere, they should have people pay to come inside the casino. It’s not fair for people who pay to stay to be succumbed with losers hanging out on the casino floor!
I freaking love Las Vegas. I’ve had so much fun there over the years.
Las Vegas got sold out to outsider corporate investment groups and now I hear they want a yearly increase 10% return. It has changed the whole traditional Vegas attraction and experience upside down. Good bye better odds, customer service, and good deals. Bye bye old fun Vegas. Oh, and Cali moved in and crime has gone up. Wonder if it is going to make it for the long haul, it puts off a large amount of tourists.
$40 drinks? Just go and get some beverages at Walgreens and you won't have to spend that much.

The show girls walking the strip are terrible, one of the most annoying hustles in Vegas. I don't even acknowledge them anymore. I had one come up and block my path and put handcuffs on me. She wouldn't take no for an answer. I had to pay her $3 to release me.

I can't stand when people bring their kids to Vegas and absolutely hate is people who can't control their drinking and just puke everywhere it's so annoying and disrespectful.
I have no desire to ever visit, neither does my husband. Actually no one in my family really cares to go somewhere just to lose money just doesn't make sense.

Vegas is awesome. My wife & I just got back, we did very little gambling. We mostly looked at some casinos we hadn’t been in, watched shows, tried different restaurants, went to Freemont st, listened to live music, & even took a tour to the Grand Canyon.
It sucks. Last time there was in 2013. Hear it’s way more ghetto now
It’s not all about gambling. I don’t gamble, and I have so much fun in Vegas. I think everyone should go at least once.
