I have a performance black. Had it 9 weeks now. Got a cobra cat back and k and n panel filter, as i couldnt find a cone filter induction kit for it. Got my bits from pug 1 off. Sounds so good now. Hello, your work is very good, did you use the original probes again? Didn't any error appear in the quadrant? Isn't it necessary to do a reprogramming to remove the catalyst?
I did end up with an engine light come on. Which is mentioned in additional videos. I have sorted this by putting a stage 1 map on and reprogrammed the engine light out. Now running amazing!
@@lordeest oooo that'll look mean! Can't say I've seen all that many modded DS3's I'm inclined to say push it further and see where you can take it. Its something different to a M140i or RS3 🤣
Hi pal great video (Ive liked and subbed) - i have 208 gti so same engine and im also looking to decat. Does your stock exhaust have a resonater/mid silencer ? Mine doesnt from stock so just trying to workout if my car would sound like this.
Im more intriged as to why it never flagged the EML to come on, especially going to a decat. Cobra even states this will cause the EML to come on, so thats well weird. 🧐
@@lordeest You might end up eventually getting an error code relating to the air bypass circuit if you block it off. Thats the small pipe that sits on the big intake pipe going to the turbo at the back near where the MAF originally sitted, as that sucks in dry air to help crankcase ventilation and the oil trap system. The whole point in this system is to reduce the accumulation of amalgam. This has two beneficial effects: it avoids freezing of the oil trap system in very cold conditions and it reduces the dilution of engine oil by petrol. So if you end up with a P1540 code if i recall, then thats the issue. My Performance only has a straight pipe cat back so far. Awaiting on FMIC coming. 😃
@@dazaman19 interesting... I was not sure what affect this might have so it sounds like maybe I should put it back.. the only code I get is P405 regarding to the cat. Low threshold. what about emissions when you go to mot? Do you chance old downpipe back?

I've got a DS3 THP. It would've been far easier and quicker to do all that if you would have taken the front bumper off with a few screws.

the bottom clamp is on wrong. the loose piece and the bottom edge should fit into the notch of the clamp. the lose piece is now the wrong way around.
