I have a 208 GTI BPS and have recently fitted these Airtec pipes. When accelerating through the gears there is a bang under the bonnet like the pipes are hitting something. I have put brackets into the existing holes but can’t figure out how to attach the pipes to the brackets to stop the knocking. Any suggestions?
Hi mate... I can't think why you would be getting a bang. You might have seen I have the front bend one the other way round. Seems a better fit. The longer pipe with the sensor in has a bit of movement but not enough to hit anything. Have you had the hook up and someone rev it to see if anything is moving?
@@lordeest hoping it is something obvious. Sounds good mate, I had a Vibra-Technics lower torque link put on last week… night and day compared to standard
Hi, I had the Airtec style boost pipes on my 208 GTI for about two years and generally they were fine. However, due to poor design the hard pipe rests directly on the oil filler cap where it continually damages/erodes the plastic until eventually the cap itself will need replacing. I’ve now fitted Forge Motorsport hard pipes because they utilise welded brackets to prevent this from ever becoming an issue.
Can anyone help I've got 62 plate DS3 Dsport+ Thp and for the last 9 - 12 month's I've been trying to join the DS3 owners club., Everytime I try I'm told I've answered a question wrong, usually what it asks other than my email address is the capital of France .I admit I'm thick but do know it's Paris. If anyone can help somehow as I really want to join.
Great video
