2:27 "i didnt notice she was trying to merge, till it was too late. but i had enough time to blow my horn for 2 seconds but not enough time to hit my brakes."
A much more accurate telling of the facts.
True. But the cammer had the right-of-way and gave the interloper fair warning. To wit: if the one with right-of-way had to give way when getting cut-off, they wouldn't really then have the right-of-way in practice.
Rather, the onus is on the lane-changer to realize their mistake and take heed. But the reality is they were trying to bully their way in. So, the cammer has the moral and legal high ground, even if they could have just given way.
Now, the cammer might get dinged 10% for failure to avoid, but an unsafe lane change can always be avoided 100% by the at-fault driver not trying to force their way over, in the first place.
@@mvpfocus no shit sherlock, but the accident could've been avoided easily by the cammer. Just because you're in the right, doesn't mean you have the moral high ground to ensure an accident happens.
@@mvpfocus I do agree with most of what you're saying but no law gives anyone the ROW but more of who you have to yield to. Which would be why the camera could/should hold some responsibility because they have to avoid (yield to) another car if they safely can
@@Ob1to-bs8py No need for profanity. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion.
4:23 if you were paying attention you would have seen that coming
4:15 should have said i wasn't paying attention so i hit the mustang in front of me.. You had plenty of time to avoid it. You were probably on your phone.
the mustang had brakelights on for 4 seconds before you hit it. If it is not enough for you, drive in the rightmost lane at 10 mph under limit with a passenger to warn you in tight situations. Better yet, take a taxi or climb in a bus.
There is a difference between seeing brake lights and recognizing that you need to brake as hard as possible. There really should be something in the design of brake lights that conveys the intensity of the braking that is happening. Such as have 5 elements to the third brake light and you only get the center one for light braking and more lights as the pedal goes further down.
Actually, I have had two designs in mind for a Brake Application Force Indicator...only thing is, using brake light intensity as an indicator of the braking force applied would be too inconsistant...remember those very sad DOT approved Brake Lights on the Dodge Daytona's?

There’s a reason why in most rearend collisions, the driver at the back is automatically at fault.
Can you figure it out?
@@frankcastle6957 my sister actually had one I think 88 or 89
It’s easier to let someone in front of you than to deal with an accident.
I kinda like being able to get to my destination on time too, crashing is going to slow me down a lot more then letting someone in.
its better to be a considerate driver and not do crap like that. makes easier for everyone
@@rogerw-interested Duh, but there is only one car I can control, mine. I can't stop others from doing dumb stuff, only do my best to avoid hitting them.
@@rogerw-interested imagine letting off the gas pedal for like 1.8 seconds. The horror
Yes, and being "considerate" would certainly include not cutting people off, and forcing your way over, as well. The difference is that only the one changing lanes is legally required to give way, and be ''considerate," as you put it.
0:25 That's likely the most off-roading that that pickup has ever seen.
The white car crossed solid yellow lines and is 100% at fault plus it’s illegal and reckless driving
The Pickup turned left over double double yellow lines as illegal and reckless making it 50/50
Both should be cited. It's a painted median. 100% illegal to turn over and drive over. Both were idiots. Both should be at fault.
2:15 Next time forget the 'horn' and try using your brakes, the other driver might get in front of you but at least you wont have to call your friends at the insurance company ... and you wont look so dumb ... just like the other guy who forced his way in.
3:01 What's going on ahead is not as important as overtaking as many as possible.
3:19 Two unskilled drivers. One with 18 wheels and one with 4 wheels.
5:38 Gotta' love this clueless cammer. Construction signs everywhere, working equipment everywhere, construction workers everywhere and yet can't fathom the idea that traffic came to an abrupt stop for no reason. Yes, they live among us.
5:45 Very odd ! Normally cammers complain about people that cut them off yet, not a word. ... Very odd !
7:05 To 'yield' passage is not in the American driver's hand book.
4:25 - "I was following too closely and not paying attention. I rear-ended the car in front of me because of it, but it's not my fault."
this is so aggravating. like bro, it's not 'i didn't have enough time to stop' it's 'i can't understand what an appropriate follow distance is'
@@dawn_connorwhere do people get it in their head that 1 second is sufficient following distance? Everything I’ve seen says 2 seconds MINIMUM in the BEST of conditions
@@Pointlesschan i count a conservative 3 seconds and go a little slower than that to account for me possibly zoning out and having a slow reaction. more than happy to vibe in the right lane at a slow pace most times.
He wasn’t even following all that close (compared to most of the drivers I’m seeing every day)… he had enough time to stop.
This driver was distracted is my guess.
3:08 you should be fired. WHAT WERE YOU DOING???

so, you'd like these 3 cars???
How are you paying today?

1:52 no, mullet, that's why you don't drive up the gore to cheat the line.
I agree. Meanwhile , in Gotham… that’s a painted median and no one should be making a left there either. 🤣
I think they should both be at fault.
I'll never understand the weird noises or unnecessary screaming when people witness an accident 🤷
This is why insurance keeps going up. People suck at driving.
3:55 that jeep was PAYING ATTENTION 🤌
#17 - "Traffic came to an abrupt stop for no reason."

It's common knowledge (signage or not) in a construction zone you need to always be prepared for sudden stops.

Clip 10, too fast for conditions of the cammer. Clip 20, again cammer failure to maintain lane, was not forced out and low shoulder which I'm sure there were warnings for.
10. Distracted driving.
20. That shouldn't be a lane.
3:01 - Semi driving too fast for conditions. 6:31 - Looked liike driver had just enough room but maybe got scared or got distracted and drifted a little too much to the right and then went off the pavement.
#10 driving too fast for conditions. Lose CDL
#20 ??? Looks like the cammer drifted right and ran out of road
The suv that hit the car at the red light , NEVER TOUCHED THE BRAKES. No brake lights but their right turn signal was on.
3:22. How do you not see an 18 wheeler a second after you pass it? I have to admit, before I started driving big rigs, I did not know how long it takes for one of 'em to slow/stop. There's this huuuuuge gap in between one of 'em and the next vehicle in front of 'em. You get into that gap, and that trucker has to lock 'em up if you slow down even a little bit. I did not know this before I became a trucker.
2:17 try depressing the brake pedal. You'll save yourself hours of aggravation. It's called defensive driving Numnut.

OK. I hate to be behind SC tags. That said, I would have braked to avoid the accident. It would have helped if she wasn’t braking while trying to merge. Aaand, yeah, now time is wasted dealing with this.
Watching these videos, I've come to realize that anything that isn't directly in front of you, which is far too often a cell phone, is considered a 'blind spot'.
My favorate is when a camer is tailgating so close that the car in front of them becomes the "blind spot." If you can't anything but the car's rear bumper, you can't really claim they brake checked you vs had to slow down to avoid something.
Trucker in number 11 turned into the suv, yes it was an unsafe lane change but both should be 50/50 resposible.
1:55
How come the cammer blamed the vehicle turning and not the one speeding and driving illegally over solid yellow lines? This could have been avoided if they were driving legally.
Siding on the behalf of the one who causes a problem is common over here in America.
In his live audio commentary he blamed both: "That's why you don't pass...."
In his written commentary with his submission he clearly blames the one you want him to blame: "it was the white car's fault".
9:51 It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world. IYKYK
A star studded classic from the 60's!
3:12 That's your CDL right there.
3:56 can't believe the Jeep missed.
Looks like it missed the vehicles but hit the retaining wall
#10 3:10 But Officer. The stopped traffic "Break-Checked" me. How dare they be on the road I own. Arrest them all. Another CDL bites the dust.
Good job on the tanker, avoiding traffic while being shoved.
Glad to know that whatever people do on the road, it was someone else’s fault.
9:47 - wtf is happening here? What's the semi trying to do? Why did the fusion back up so aggressively? Who designs ramps like that!?
Trucker is stopped, blocking the onramp entrance because the right turn is too tight for him. Fusion goes around the stopped truck and backs up to use the onramp. Trucker, having committed to just "eff it" and driving over the bollards, is busy looking elsewhere and doesn't notice the Fusion. Or does and intentionally causes contact due to frustation? IDK
Right or not, that setup is designed to tell 18-wheelers they're not allowed to use that on-ramp. The trucker says "I'll do it my way" and the car says "I'll do it my way in reverse." Chaos ensues for everybody.
@@pbro4567 Actually it's set up to prevent right turns from the center lane (the ramp is 2 lanes wide).
The truck is a car hauler. They will often deliver to dealerships in neighborhoods where trucks simply should not be. It's the trucker's job to figure out how to overcome the challenges created. I have personally done maneuvers like what the truck driver is doing because there just aren't any other options. Traffic planners do things like that to control traffic for whatever reason without thinking about how a truck is going to squeeze through. (VERY common problem all over the country.) The Fusion likely got tired of sitting behind the duck while it was trying to make the turn safely and chose to go around and back up ty the ramp. The truck driver was likely watching all his mirrors for someone to be stupid, without watching for someone to back into him. The truck stopped just before impact, which is when the trucker likely first saw the danger. Too little too late.
@@pbro4567…
I don’t know of any freeway ramps that trucks are “not allowed” to use… but if there is such a thing, I’m pretty sure they would use a “no trucks” sign to tell the truck drivers.
1:24 Shoot talk about a convenient tow truck!!!
That rear end accident @0:51 was painful to look at because I had on just like it. My neck was sore and I was shaking up briefly. That is probably my biggest fear on the roads is getting rear ended because you are defensive-less in 99% of cases.
3:23: That last minute move to the right looked intentional. But the SUV is still at fault.
Yeah that looked intentional, I wouldn't be broadcasting that video if I was them
"after he hit me" uhhhhh you hit him my guy,.. AND you saw him coming and made no attempt to slow down..

4:34 Am I missing something here? They used the left turn lane to turn left not cut ahead of traffic.
I'm confused too. Cammer says the police SUV was behind them but it's clearly in front.
#2 Why send that to local PD? Wth do you think they’ll do with that footage? I could see if he hit someone. “Cheesus Kerist”
#12 Is a cat coughing up a hairball driving or what?
#9 Because there are drivers like that, it's imperative that people keep enough distance in front of them so that they can move forward left or right. Then it's also imperative to keep an eye on your rear view mirror when you are stopped. The moment you see someone speeding towards you, you move.
4:26 you didnt have enough time to stop because you weren't paying attention
#21 6:52 No proof of cutoff. Another CDL bites the dust.
I have noticed a common thread in all of these videos - when a semi driver screws up there is almost never a back story/"narrative" regarding the accident.
It’s usually pretty obvious what happened to be honest
@@Pointlesschan True, but sometimes I wonder was the driver just an idiot or did he have an equipment failure or possibly some other reason for the accident.
At least they aren't trying to come up with some ridiculous story about why it's everyone else's fault.
#14 4:14 The car in front of the Mustang didn't "slam on their brakes." You were driving only 0.6 seconds behind the Mustang, yet it took 4 seconds from when the Mustang's brake lights went on to when you hit it (7 seconds from the first time the Mustang braked). That means it was very gradually slowing down. You just weren't paying attention.
1:25 Candace Owens! Yeah!!!
3:40 not a terrible recovery.
#16 and you couldn’t let him get in?
thats why they have laws, to better control and know whats going on, on the road
"#16 why did you wait to merge after the vehicle was pat you"
There. Fixed it. Bad drivers should not be allowed to be bad drivers and make others work around them. You merge wrong, it's your fault, not rhe person that you claim should have waited for them to continue being a bad driver
@@moonscar119I prefer to yield in such situations anyway. If someone is already doing something dumb like that, there's a good chance they will continue doing it in my direction. Short of throwing it reverse, they aren't very likely to hit me if they are in front of me.
Great video!
9:38
Notice lard lad donuts in the background.
I didn't. just noticed another doofus who doesn't get how semis work. "turned from a non turn lane"....in a semi....that needs extra turning radius with big loads...you don't say.
@@jorgejiminez-rk1uuIf your talking about the one that started at 9:38 then yes, but the one that ended at that time both didn't need the extra clearance and wasn't in a turn lane. The one starting at 9:38 starts in the turn lane, waits for traffic to clear, then swings out wide before making the turn, thus preventing any other vehicles from trying to ride up inside their turn.
4:16 following too close… looks like there’s less than 100ft separating the two vehicles - at highway speeds
3:19 Trucker gets his feelings hurt because someone is trying to pass him from the right lane so he proceeds to pit maneuver them all because he was hogging the left lane. What a poor innocent trucker!
Agreed he needs to stay out of the left lane, BUT the suburban is the idiot here. you can't bully your way around against a tractor truck with a suburban. As seen in the video

6:21 honest question for truck drivers - do you not feel the trailer doing that before it starts to flip your tractor?
Possibly load shift…but good question.
If you're paying attention, you absolutely feel the trailer lifting. It's a strange sensation. That said, the key words there are "if you're paying attention." We can see in these videos just how well drivers of all types seem to pay attention.
Also, if you DO notice the problem happening, the next huge key is knowing how to correct it without making it worse. By the time the brain realizes what's happening, formulates corrective action, and actually puts the plan in motion, it's likely too late. You're just hyper aware that you're rolling the truck.
4:34
Im confused. This appears to be the same turn cammer is making. How is it illegal?
The description is a total mess. I'm guessing they jumped into the left turn lane at some point by using the straight lane to bypass other cars and crossed the solids.
@@HDTube101In front of the law…
That turn pocket is 100 m long. If the line of cars approaching the lights to go straight extended back 150 m or more, the offending car may have used the previous left-turn pocket and the oncoming left-turn pocket to overtake them. That would be consistent with what the caption says.
Probably cut from the video, MDS does that a lot
It's possible there was a 2 way left turn lane in the middle of the road and they used it as a driving lane to get to the left turn lane for the intersection . The description says they used it to "jump a long line of traffic to the intersection".
7:00 this is *MY* parking spot.
Do drivers who engage in road rage realize how ridiculous they look? It’s just driving, not a competition.
#12…. The jeep did a great job!
7:07: The red pickup made the light on yellow, and had the right-of-way going straight. The black pickup failed to yield on a left turn, and is 100% at fault.
#9 2:37 You see it coming and just knowing the carnage it's going to create is like a gut punch.
2:54 i agree with every single word in this!!! People just don't give a crap about anyone or anything else out on the road!!! PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION!!! IT'S THAT FREAKING SIMPLE!!!!!!!!
Talking and texting while driving is never going to stop. There are people out there that think that it won’t happen to them and those are the people that get into accidents while talking on the phone and texting. And yet it still goes on……
How about showing dash cam type for each vehicle?
1:33 Tow truck was there just in time.
"Stay safe, folks. Watch the road."
1:47 White car crossed the double yellow lines to pass and the truck pulled out for a blind turn so they will split fault 50/50 for the accident.
Last video: That car gives off insurance scam vibes but perhaps they missed the exit due to the trucks erratic lane changes. Even if it is frustration at being forced to miss the exit they never should have reversed in an active lane of traffic and at that rate of speed.
That exit can't be rated for semi use if it is impossible for an 18 wheeler to turn into it without blocking multiple lanes of traffic to make the turn or without taking out all of the lane dividers. Might be time for your company to brush up on your CDL requirements!
1:20 Coveniently a tow truck already on scene
Most of these are people not wanting to be cut off. I value my safety over getting somewhere on time, so if people wanna pass me, I will gladly let them. Putting your ego aside and letting the person pass you will save your life, I promise you!

Just FYI, since this DOESN'T seem to be as common knowledge as it should be, there is *NO legal "obligation" to let someone merge in front of you.*
The onus is on the person merging into traffic to do so safely, of course this would always be easier if people understood how to zipper merge for sure but it still doesn't give anyone the right to try to occupy space you are already taking up.
#6 white car for sure was totally at fault. Those double yellows are not for speeding down the road, they are for turning
Those aren't even for turning (double-double yellow). They're for STAYING THE HELL OFF. I don't think even the left-turner should have been on them.
10:00 I have no idea what anybody there is doing including the engineers.
Stopping people from turning right from the center lane.
#14 4:17 Will never understand the mindset that thinks it's OK to come to a near stop on a highway just to make an exit or change lanes. Those people are reckless, dangerous, and shouldn't be allowed on highways.
3:46 2016 = New truck😂
So completely unwarranted too. Like are we supposed to be impressed bout a 8/9 year old truck, or?
"Yea, just got me a new phone. iPhone 7"
2:20 Was not letting that car in front of you worth it? You understand that your horn wont physically stop a car from merging right? Like you have to apply the brakes.
Gee I wonder why manufacturers don't connect brakes to horn: if you keep blasting horn for more than 1.5 seconds, all 4 wheels lock brakes. So simple, right?
#8 gotta be better at defending your lane if you're going to play that game. That said, I'm happy to hear chevy got all the fault.
Yes, it’s easier to let someone in front of you ease in than to deal with an accident but what about proving your point that you’re right by not letting them ease in. What if they do this all the time?
#8 You could have avoided this when you saw them coming over. You honked, but didn't hit your brakes because it shows you kept rolling into them.

At 1:46, the white car was speeding in the TURN lane well before it was legal to do, so he should be screwed, blued, and tattoo'd.
That's not a TURN lane.
But was the truck legally allowed to cross double yellows to turn left either?
