In the military I worked around people for two years who were NEVER sober. They were drunk 24-7-365. This is where i learned that a person could "drink themselves sober"!!

I do enjoy them both for different reasons, though “smarter” isn’t the term I’d use for a kinda ripoff story, as King’s was written first and the similarities to his (often alcoholic characters) borders on plagiarism in my book... which he also wrote a story about called Secret Window 😁🤷🏼♀️

one thing about heavy drinking is you could get pancreatitis the pain is immense. i could only stand it for few minutes before i knew i had to go to the er. only really strong painkillers could stop the pain. it felt like i knife was being twisted on my side pouring sweat hunch over praying for it to go away. control your habits or your body will fail you
