If your moisture meter was supplied with Chinese batteries, chuck them away! In my experience, if you leave them in the device, they will leak.
curious why you use the little benchtop thicknesser instead of the hammer , wish i had room for the larger planer thicknesser, just ordered the jet 12 inch spiral cutter model, it just about fits my workspace,cheers.
Hi Kevin, because I owned it before the Hammer and its easier / quicker to use it for smaller pieces. Basically just me being lazy, that's the honest answer.

Nice video! So 10/11/12% moisture is fine for endgrain? or is it a bit too much? mine is arround 10-14% moisture and had one board splitting not sure why.
Hi, I always prefer 8 - 10%, the higher the more chance of problems in the future.
