I laughed through the whole movie!! Watched it a bunch of people who were not in to comics or super hero movies except for me and one other guy. He and I just laughed our buts off and the rest of they were completely lost and looked at us as if we were crazy.

Their song 'Walkin' on the Sun' sounds a little bit like a Doors influence, and the lyrics are philosophical. Definitely an influence from the 60s era.

All Star was used in Mystery Men in 1999, hence the use of footage from the movie, like the tryouts for the team scene, and cleverly edited footage from when the heroes initially confront Casanova Frankenstein.
Mystery Men is a superhero comedy movie starring Ben Stiller as Mr Furious, Hank Azaria as Blue Raja, William H. Macy as the Shoveler, Greg Kinnear as Captain Amazing, Janeane Garofalo as the Bowler, Paul Reubens as the Spleen, Kel Mitchell as Invisible Boy, Wes Studi as The Sphinx, Geoffrey Rush as Casanova Frankenstein our villain, and Eddie Izzard as Tony P. It’s about d-list superheroes saving the day in a world where the big name Captain Amazing cares more about money and sponsorship deals, than being a superhero, having defeated all his big name rogues decades ago, he decides to make a half-baked idea into a reality to keep things interesting and fresh, and as a result our heroes have to tidy up his mess, with guest appearances by the Goodie Mob as the Not-So-Goodie Mob, and Micheal Bay as leader of the Frat Boys.
It’s actually a really good movie, and I recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.

It’s cool that you liked the “bright” look of the video, almost all videos had that look during that time (circa 1999-2000).
I saw that band in concert a few years ago. They were really cool with the kids at the show letting them get on stage and sing and even play his guitar. The kids loved it.
You couldn't go ANYWHERE and not hear this song. It applied to EVERYTHING! Pee-wee sports, staff meetings, ... whatever. So proud of you boys for going on your journey of musical education.

The video is from a movie called Mystery Men. It sort of shows the Mystery Men recruiting at the beginning of the video, then it shows the members of Smashmouth rescuing people before the Mystery Men are able to get there. The insinuation with the Mystery Men beating up their limo is that theyre mad at Smashmouth for always beating them to the rescue sites. Apart from that Mystery Men is funny. Theres a ton of good actors and the story line is as wild as this video lol.
