The Asda near where I live has had sections missing out of their speed bumps for ages now and I always wondered where they'd gone. This has opened my eyes

I completely agree with the whole ‘s line’ and amg line BS ruining the novelty of an actual s/rs or amg
100%, I have an A35 and it just idk erks me that Mercedes have the gall to sell the "brand" at 15-20k less. There is nothing AMG about an AMG line other than the stiff suspension.
Same when I had a 19 plate Fiesta ST, unless you know what to looks for they get the whole styling.

There is a difference between an entry level car, and a car that literally is just a standard car with a body kit.
The A35 is faster than the old A45, tbh any car with over 300BHP, over 400NM or torque and sub 5 second 0-60 is a real performance car by any metric.
LMAO the A35 is defiantly a performance car, and an AMG.
@@mememachine5244 Not to mention the reworked suspension and chassis. But it's still slower than the old A45, and the engine is the same as the one in the A250, just with a new turbo and intercooler. I see both sides to the argument, but I think the general consensus is that the A35 should count as an AMG, and I'll happily go with that!
Meme Machine The a35 is not faster than the old a45 and it’s not even close. All it takes is a couple of CZcams searches to find this out.
The a45 is is nearly a second faster to 60mph and is about 4 seconds faster to 200kmh.
Quite a difference.

As a recent AMG Line spec merc owner, i have to say, Its NOT just a body kit..... As everyone keeps saying. Yes there is the AMG body kit, but also got Lowered suspension, AMG adaptive suspension, AMG SpeedSteer steering. Drilled disks and Brembo pads. Specific engine and gearbox mapping. And then the interior bits to tart it up. So you do get quite alot of additional bits. Not just a body kit !.
Mine was a A200d with the 2.2 diesel, but i also got the Brabus D2 tuning pack on it, and the funny thing is with Launch Control it kept with a standard early pre-facelift A45 all the way to about 105mph. Up to that point there was nothing in it. The huge torque clearly helped.
Dad has told me stories of destroying those speedbumps in question from the later story when he still drove a truck for his job, by pulling the trailer brake when going over one and having the locked up trailer wheels pull them straight out of the ground
They use to do it where i was brought up, they had the ones that was peiced up bolted to the floor and the lads use to just take them out, they never put any speedbumps on that road after that, even till this day there is non there lol

Totally agree. Be honest if pulled over. I was pulled over on a Victorian highway (Australia) in 1999 doing 155kph in my Subaru Liberty(Legacy) RS Turbo. He asked "What speed were you doing?" I said "About 150kph." He said "At least you're honest." Then he asked "Where is the accent from?" (I am British). Anyway, I got nicked for 128kph which kept me from losing my license on the spot!
In Australia pretty much all of the speed bumps are concrete or asphalt. I only see speed bumps in large parking spaces

What happens when you run from the police:
RPU and depending on how dangerous your driving is NPAS will show up, when they get an opportunity they will use a stinger or they will TPAC you, should you manage to escape you cars number plate will be in the dash cam of the police car so they will be able to just go to your house and pick you up at a later date (unless your using fake plates) or NPAS will follow you to wherever you try and hide, either way you have to be lucky to not get caught.
RPU - Roads Policing Unit (Faster police cars)
NPAS - National Police Air Service (Helicopter)
Stinger - a device with hollow spikes that slowly deflates your tires
TPAC - Tactical Pursuit And Containment (Box you in)
