  • These Chewy and Fudgy Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are so easy to make. The cookie dough are rolled in powdered sugar for a beautiful crackly surface once baked. These cookie is a perfect holiday gift for any cookie lover on your gift list.
    INGREDIENTS:
    Yield: 40 cookies
    - 2 cups all purpose flour
    - 2 teaspoons baking powder
    - 1/2 teaspoon salt
    - 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    - 1 1/4 cup white sugar
    - 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
    - 4 eggs ( room temp )
    - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    * Cover and freeze for 1 to 2 hours or chill overnight
    - 1 cup powdered sugar ( for coating )
    * Bake in a preheated oven at 175 C for about 10 to 11 minutes.
    * Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet
    * Cookies stay fresh covered at room temp for up to 1 week

    I tried making it I used hersheys powder and instead of using white sugar I used brown sugar, I used avocado oil instead of vegetable/canola oil. I didnt have vanilla extract and it came out really hard. I didnt know what I did wrong. I followed the measurements but it didnt came out great.

      May be you over baked them a little bit, try to bake them a minute less next time.

      Yes! They’ll be soft when they come out!

      Hi Earl! I used cacao puro ( la chocolatera ) but you can use any brand of your choice as long as it is unsweetened cocoa powder.

      If you dont have any on hand, you can omit the vanilla extract without impacting the final texture of your choco crinkles.

      May be you over-baked them a little bit, try to bake them a minutes less next time or may be you over mixed it or may be there is not enough fat in the batter try to add a bit of oil instead of egg.

      I recommended using room temp eggs, as this helps to mix much better into the cookie batter.

      Recipes that call for room temperature anything is to ensure all your ingredients are the same temp for better blending and emulsion. If temperatures differ it can cause your ingredients to split in some recipes.

      1 cup of flour is 120g. Sorry to hear that, I've made this recipe over a dozen times and consistent result. I also received positive feedback to those who already tried this recipe. May be you over-baked them, try to bake them a minutes less next time.

      Thanks for the feedback, Lala! Glad that you liked it. Depende sa icing sugar na ginamit mo or if you let the sugared dough sit in the counter for too long before baking, the icing sugar melts and gets absorbed by the dough that’s why yung texture sa labas ay hindi crunchy.

      I hope this will help, you can roll the cookies in granulated sugar first then in powdered sugar to prevent it from melting when baking.

    Tried the recipe now and it was really messy forming it into balls. Recipe calls for 4 eggs and I used large ones which is what I always use for baking. When I read the comments, turns out she used medium size eggs. The size of the eggs made mine so sticky and moist even after leaving it on the freezer for a few hours. The cookies came out flat

      Sorry to hear that, make sure to stick to the ingredient amount the recipe calls for otherwise the dough could be too sticky to work with. Try using med size egg next time and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours, or freezing them for minutes to an hour makes them more manageable to work.

      Hindi pa naman nangyari sa akin yan when baking chocolate crinkles. I'm not sure kung okey ang resulta kung sa dry ingredients mo naihalo yung sugar. Importante kasi ma melt yung sugar kasama ng oil, eggs at vanilla.

      Thanks for this comment im also having a hard time converting sorry po pero iba iba talaga ang measurements pag cups ang ginagamit lalo na search sa google it will give you diff measures nag try ko to measure sa 1cup it gives me 143g using spoon to fill so it wont get pressed hard google give me 120g,113g.up to 150g hehe anyways thanks again ill try this

      Chocolate crinkles will last about 6 days when stored in an airtight container at room temp. Kapag nilagay mo sa refrigerator it will last up to two weeks.

      Hi Mabel! When you added too much flour this will cause the mixture to have a dry texture. Kung mapapansin mo yung mixture ko medyo sticky, nilagay ko pa yung cookie mixture sa ref before ko bilugin. I hope these recipe will turn out successful to you.

      Hi Nacer! Mahirap talagang haluin dahil medyo sticky yung dough. Next time try mo na I-flatten ng konti yung ibabaw ng crinkles bago mo i-bake.

      At room temperature they will last up to 1 week basta they kept in airtight container or sealed bag. If you want to keep them longer keep them in the refrigerator.

Every oven kasi is different in terms of temperature, it vary from oven to oven. To make the crinkles stay white after baking at hindi ma absorb ng dough try mong i roll muna sa granulated sugar before powdered sugar or confectioner sugar. O kaya i -form mo muna silang lahat into a ball saka mo sunod sunod na i-coat ng confectioner sugar. i hope this info will help you to make your crinkles perfect next time.

Napaka Unselfish nyo po na tao🥰 Last question nalang ma'am, example po na ipang regalo ko sya at gawin ko sya ngayon at ide deliver ko po bukas, saan po sya mas better ilagay, kasi balak ko na sya ilagay sa box po. Mas better po ba na ilagay ko yung crinkles outside the refrigerator or dapat sa refrigerator ko na po sya ilagay? thank you po ma'am🥰

      Depende kasi sa klase ng powder sugar na ginagamit or sometimes, kung nasa pinas ka masyadong mainit madaling i absorb ng dough yung powder sugar. Ang gawin mo i-shape mo muna lahat into a ball para sunod sunod mong ma iroll sa powder sugar then bake it right away.

    Hi. Ask ko lang pwede ba iref ang choco crinkles? Or titigas sya? And also convection bake po ba gamit nyo function? I've already make and finally perfect❤ yung second batch medyo masunog lang sa ilalim nasobrahan ko sa timer😁 pero yung 1st and 3rd batch. They already perfect❤❤❤
    Same with other na nag cocomment na nag-thick sya to the point ang hirap haluhin😅 pero nung na-bake okay naman sya nasa tamang temperature lang tlaga and minutes.

      Hi Jenelyn! Thanks for trying out these recipe. Store mo lang sa airtight container at room temperature yung choco crinckles. Yes, medyo tricky ang pag bake ng chocolate crinkles make sure na tama ang temperature and make sure din not to overbake so it will stay moist and chewy. Kapag medyo sumobra ka lang ng ilang minuto maapektuhan na ang texture ng crinkles mo. Trial and error talaga ang baking maski ako bago ma perfect ang isang recipe i had multiple errors. Try and try lang hanggang ma perfect!

      The most likely reason kung bakit hindi moist yung chocolate crinkles is that they've been overbaked. Kapag sumobra kasi kahit isang minuto lang, it will result in dry or slightly hard cookies. Mainam na mag timer ka sa phone mo para accurate ang baking time.

      Sorry for late reply, you can add 1 or two tablespoons of flour to thickened. Madalas ko pong gawin yang recipe pero hindi naman nagiging runny yung cookie dough. Nilagay mo ba sa ref or sa freezer bago mo bilugin?
