    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Eduardo (Andrew Garfield) and his lawyers recount the story of how he was betrayed by Mark (Jesse Eisenberg).
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
Director David Fincher (Fight Club, Seven) teams with screenwriter Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing) to explore the meaning of success in the early 21st century from the perspectives of the technological innovators who revolutionized the way we all communicate. The year was 2003. As prohibitively expensive technology became affordable to the masses and the Internet made it easy to stay in touch with people who were halfway across the world, Harvard undergrad and computer programming wizard Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) launched a website with the potential to alter the very fabric of our society. At the time, Zuckerberg was just six years away from making his first million. But his hearty payday would come at a high price, because despite all of Zuckerberg's wealth and success, his personal life began to suffer as he became mired in legal disputes, and discovered that many of the 500 million people he had friended during his rise to the top were eager to see him fall. Chief among that growing list of detractors was Zuckerberg's former college friend Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield), whose generous financial contributions to Facebook served as the seed that helped the company to sprout. And some might argue that Zuckerberg's bold venture wouldn't have evolved into the cultural juggernaut that it ultimately became had Napster founder Sean Parker (Justin Timberlake) not spread the word about Facebook to the venture capitalists from Silicon Valley. Meanwhile, the Winklevoss twins (Armie Hammer and Josh Pence) engage Zuckerberg in a fierce courtroom battle for ownership of Facebook that left many suspecting the young entrepreneur might have let his greed eclipse his better judgment. The Social Network was based on the book The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich.

@@cyborg3696 he did provide the funding yes, but their "friendship" wasn't like it was in the movie
also, the movie does underplay how Edwardo was dragging the company back.
it's similar to how Ray Kroc took over. It he hadn't, McDonalds would not have grown as it has as the McDonalds brothers didn't want to expand the company the way Ray envisioned (though on the flip side I image many people would prefer to stayed closer to it's origins)
similarly, Edwardo didn't focus on the company and didn't even live in the same state. So to make the company grow, Mark screwed him over. And that's a fact. The actual email explaining what he wants to do is available to see. He knew there would be a lawsuit but that lawsuit would be worth it to get Edwardo out.
so yes, Mark screwed over Eduardo. But as history has shown, it was the right business decision for the company.

@Duke Wang I phrased in the initial comment specifically, MIND BOGGLING MORAL question because It is a Moral topic. Logically your explanation is correct, but Morally, it is entirely subjective. Mind Boggling because it is debatable, the amount to repay differs from each person's morals and gratitude.
If it is someone who knows Gratitude and feels "none of this riches and success would happen if you didn't put in the initial amount." then they tend to reward their friend/partner more.
If the person feels "yeah you put in money but logically, you had nothing to do with the end result/success." then the person has the right to not repay anything other than the initial amount that was lent and maybe slightly more interest as a bonus.
It is weird to compare a Bank which lends money as a business to a friend lending out of goodwill and ethics.
So yeah, it is subjective, no definitive right or wrong answer.

And the fact that the only person who's share wasn't reduced to practically nothing was the one friend Mark had is the definition of "Salt in the wound." Its kind of amazing that hardly ever hear of or think of Edwardo, the person who actually got screwed the worst in all of this, instead of the Winklevoss twins who were just louder in their retaliation. From a behind the scenes standpoint, I remember Jesse saying that these scenes where he and Andrew were going head to head were extremely hard to film because how upset he kept getting with the emotional power of Andew's performance. I don't have a doubt in my mind that is true either.

He has more money than a human being requires at one given time it’s absolutely ridiculous!! While I agree with the notion that people shouldn’t tell him what to do with his money, the argument that he wants the money while he can still use it is ridiculous because he has almost literally unlimited money at this rate!! Even if a lot of the money is in assets and stocks, the money in his bank account is still ludicrously high!

This movie made Eduardo seem like an Angel; he tried advertising other companies on Facebook without Mark’s or Anyone else’s permission. Anyways they’ve reconciled somewhat

@@dfed324 Yup. Eduardo was just short sighted at the time. Ads didn't make sense in the early days when it was just college students and pure social interaction. Once FB became a tool for surveillance and marketing/news the ads made sense.

The horrible thing is that mark knew he had just signed his life away, and he kept up the “best friend” facade and pretended to still be boys and pretended that everything just became amazing for both of them and “you gotta come back, we’re having a party for a million members” and basically acted like everything was all good KNOWING Eduardo had just signed his entire Facebook life away. Disgusting. Mark is a scumbag pos and I’m glad I don’t have Facebook.

Mark literally traded a true friend, stabbed him and just for the sake of new investors and "friends" Eduardo was insulted, it's not about money it's about trust and friendship. Look at Mark right now lifeless face.

The shares are diluted to issue more shares to new investors and his share goes from 30% to 34%. if that does not raise a red flag, then that business degree is of no use.
    Also 34.4 + 51 + 6.81 + 6.47 + 7 = 105.68%
