Nadal shrinks the court on his opponents to such a degree, when on clay, that it is nye impossible to ever feel comfortable. When he gets comfortable, he's unstoppable.
En arcilla es el mejor de todos los tiempos. Un gran campeón.
Looking forward to Nadal's 14th FO title. Nadal, you rock!
His foot and Body gets a day of rest in a Slam. Harder at age 36 to win a Master's .
Hammering that forehand like no tomorrow. No one hits harder than Rafa on clay.
Carlos is a beast?!
@@vegeb 😂😂😂
Zverev was right. Once he arrives in Paris, he suddenly plays 30% better. For a first round that was pretty solid stuff.
The surface area of the clay court of Philippe Chatrier stadium suits him perfectly too.
Abuzverev you meant ??
@@eduardochernia it's a standard court , what do you mean size ?
@@zainkhokhar5949 I think he means the surface area of the entire clay
@@zainkhokhar5949 He has much more meters to run, much more meters to open angles, and much more meters to return since the deepest place in París. The size, yes. Around the lines, behind the lines. I mean, this guy has 106W/3L in this tournament. During 18 years, most of the games in the Phillipe Chatriere. He loves this court. A monster court.
Rafa's movements and weight of shot was on point in every set SHEEESH 😓
Thompson's reactions were priceless lol. Let's go Rafa!
Rafa the goat must win 22 slams
Look at his forehand ! He added more spin . Again . It's good on clay !
Congratulations to Rafa, he has been chosen one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people of 2022. Tom Brady wrote the intro for him. Vamos Rafa, well done!!
"Rafa has mastered the art of longevity in tandem with adversity" (106-3) 👑
Look Nadal,WHAT A LEGEND playing at his 35 against MARIO BROSS.
His movement and defense looked pretty solid today. Good to see Rafa doesn’t hasitate about his leg.
his foot
@@elizabethseminario7203 not just foot, also knees
@@bojanovicd8937 Yes, that's one of the reazons I admire him more than other playes, greetings
one thing that differs Nadal from a lot of other ATP players is that once he sees an opening, he goes for the winner almost every time. a lot of the times i see players just returning the ball to the opponent, hoping that the opponent will make mistakes, but that kind of playstyle almost never works in the long run
Even at this level, not everyone has the consistency to go for shots the way he does and make it the vast majority of the time.
and those "winners" are high-percentage shots - it's very hard for him to miss as he puts an insane amount of topsin on his forehand
@@josephsantana3094 hmmm federer?
Nadal only does this on clay
That is why defensive players with lack of powerful shots often have trouble vs Nadal such as Medvedev, Murray, Giles Simon, Norrie, Bautista Agut, etc.
The real test starts next week. I hope he remains fit. congrats champ
Please stay healthy for the next 2 weeks!
A battle of white hot intensity, but once again Nadal shows his mettle when subjected to the sternest pressure. Only a champion of the rarest quality could keep their game face on with such a moustache the other side of the net.
lol
Lmao
🤣🤣🤣
I like how nadal played today. Really smooth. Great job 👏
I know Alcaraz and Novak technically did better score wise but I think nadal looked the best out of all of them.
Vamos Rafa! 22 🥳
One Match at a time
Rafa a great champion on and off the courts.
Looking good
To be fair, Thompson was a great matchup for him. Not a natural clay courter, and doesn’t have near the firepower to push Nadal around on clay. Just doesn’t have the gas on his shots.
@@springfield03sniper Rafa looked good today.I still think forehand off/down the line is the signature shot that needs some improvement as the tournament progress atleast it's good to see him play without pain.
Maasive RAFA fan.. Great start.. Almost an impossible task this FO will be.. Djoko Alcaraz looks in red hot form.. LETS SEE.
VAMOS RAFA..
It will depend on how quick he wins his Matches. If he defeats Novak in straight Sets then his chances are very good.
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 if he defeats Novak in Straight..He wins the FO..Just worried about the foot
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 lol, u make it sound very easy.
@@rolitshindane5742 it's not easy if each Set is a tie breaker.
Good start! 👏🏆🥇
nadal the best ever He achieved everything in his career in 20 years It does not matter what he will do now all these years and an age where it is already more difficult And with injuries like everyone
I think Madrid and Rome he was coasting to get a few matches in and stay healthy. He’s going to turn it on now.
Rafa on Fire🔥
Vamos rafa..14 th Rolland Garros
Good on Ya Raffa, nice Aussie Green and Yello colours too.
I see a 22 Nadal here~
I wonder what Thompson said to Nadal at the net that made him laughed like that.... "That was a nice warm up for you no?" XD
Daddy Nadal: 'Wanna win? Be obsessed with tennis, not with your 80's look'
Thompson’s shots are gutless
A pity dont show only one point made by Thompson. I think he did it not bad today…
Rafa Rafa Rafa
Please don't put who wins in the title.......
Letgo nadal finals
Borat plays tennis?
Man of clay is back let be alcaraz djokovic or anyone beat him if he play like this
I don't want nadal to play at night.
Please roland garros don't schedule his match at night
Thomson behaved like a little child with his permanent complaining.
бедный томсон
Надаль опять как в 25 в полном порядке ещё бы столько всего сожрать.
Not even one bit of Thompson's winning points.
Nadal 36 years old alcaraz 19 jok 34 Anyone who compares him to others is dumb without a brain ....Obviously alcaraz will be a little better Do not compare such things !!!!!!!!!! No one will get to what nadal has done in his career
in terms of grand slams probably yes, if there was only 1 out of the big 3 he would have 40+ gs, cuz they 3 have been in very big % of the finals
Oh! The rib injuries that cropped up in the Indian Wells F loss; and foot injuries that suddenly came up in Madrid QF and Italian R16 losses have vanished instantly. And, if he loses a match at 2022 FO; another injury will suddenly appear, he has learned very well to never give credit to the opponent who beats him!
How about a stomach injury for a change ?? or a bum injury 🧐
Godwin, why are you commenting on CZcams escaping the psychiatrist ward?.I got a call from them to inform you to admit yourself back there immediately because you have gone completely delusional.
@@littlesunshine2378 You must be gone mad. The Mad asylum authorities are looking for you. Go back to your safe place.
Nadal siempre respeta a sus rivales. Un respeto al gran campeón, por favor. La envidia es muy mala.
Just in case he loses in the future .... it is completely beccause of his multi chronic injuries... !!!!!
Actually it is very rare that Rafa has been truly beaten by someone else.
Now he is not injured?? LMAO Dopal!
Another loser called Plant Power 😀
Jamás ha dado un positivo. Envidiar es terrible y se sufre mucho.
