- While extracting some bearings in the KX65 bottom end I managed to break my Amazon special blind bearing puller collet. Went with the next best option.

I tried with blind puller multiple times, heated the bearing and crankcase but the puller just kept slipping out. Just before I was about to weld a threaded rod to bearing, I wanted to see what others are doing...I figured i'd try this before and after ramming an entire piece of bread on a tiny 6200 bearing it finally started coming out. Reused the same piece of bread and another slice to take out the remaining bearing. Can't thank you enough!!!
I just learned something from the channel I have never seen done before. Thanks for sharing this method.
Awesome, it was something I hadn't tried before but heard a few channels mention it!
Yes indeed, this worked like a champ!!
I had broken / bent my cheap blind puller as well on a small stubborn bearing in my engine case. I tried everything, the puller, heating the case in the oven, homemade contraptions and vice grips.. nothing worked or even budged the bearing.. until i saw this bread method, it worked within a minute lol!! Thanks for the video🙌🏻🍻
AWESOME, whoever tried this or even decided to try it in the first place is a godsent
OMG this actually worked avoided purchasing a inner bearing puller kit cheers.
It really does the trick, its amazing 🎉
I really enjoyed your video's very well done, had to remove same bearings used heat aluminum expanded enough bearings dropped out. used same trick to put them in too. 250 degrees for 12 minutes.
Thanks! I considered the oven then thought better of it, if I had propane the grill would have been the way to go!
Nice to know when I’m doing bottom ends thanks for the video brotha !
Thanks for watching! Other than a little mess this was significantly easier than using the crappy blind bearing puller I had ordered.
Not too shabby indeed.
If you have a tight fitting shaft, you can use wheel bearing grease. I used an old transmission shaft. Great post!
Awesome!! Thank you
This video just saved me £40. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
That.......was genius.
I'm about to try that on bearing inside an axle. EDIT! It worked! Freaking amazing.. Thanks!
Nice, glad it worked out for you!
If you has put nut partially end of bolt it would serve as guide for an air hammer.
I also did this last night was also like "This actually works...what the heck?"
Absolutely amazing "trick" that really works!!! Haha!!! I'll be dipped!!!
I love seeing Derek's lingo catching on!
Very interesting
Nice, please do the video on the engine rebuild, thank you 🙏
Currently in the works haha, I've got the teardown here czcams.com/video/__9klmLNpxw/video.html.
This shit did work! Thanks
Fascinating! Now how do we get the bread out? 🤔
Brake clean of course :)
The same thing can be done with a candle.... But what will happen if it is a rusted bearing.....
Imagine what you could fix with beer !!!
Beer has helped me work on every vehicle haha
or you could just use grease
