- Rangers fans created a sea of orange in the 2000 Scottish Cup Final in tribute to manager Advocaat and the Dutch players at the club. Rangers won the game 4-0 but it was effectively over after Jim Leighton was stretchered off, with no substitute keeper, within five minutes.

Scottisch and Dutch fans the best in the world if you ask me. no wonder we feel connected. Numan, De boer, Advocaar, Ricksen, Van Bronckhorst, they all enjoyed playing and coaching the glory Rangers. Just amazing to see rangers turned oranje one day. everytime the scottisch team not goes to an EC or WC you should come with us and support the dutch team. we go with hunderthousands fans to thake over a city no matter where, and celebrate. Couse that is what dutch and scottisch people like to do, support will making a party!

That's why Jim Leighton was a great Goalkeeper when you look at that brave Goalkeeping in the first few mins off the game. To go down and win the ball and to get injured the man was never scared off a 50/50 Leighton. I always thought Leighton never got a lot creditability that he deserved. Well I suppose 91 caps for Scotland say a lot for the man

I have been a massive fan of Dutch votbal myself ever since Ajax won The Champions League in 94/95 season yes I am that old what an Ajax side that was plus they had the best Ajax home strip of the modern era.
Also had a Art Teacher at College in Dick Advocaat's first season as Rangers Manager how was a Celtic & Feyenoord fan he had friends in Rotterdam how he went across to see & he would go to some Faynoord home game when he could he used to bring in copys of Votbal International magazine for the guys to look though learnt a little bit of Dutch that way I have a very basic understanding of The Dutch Language I can read it but not speak or wright it.
