(add amino acids to the list as well! Although there aren't many products in India containing them) Your viewers are so lucky that you put this up, Saved everyone guess games and brainstorming! I had my mom use peptides with ceramides a couple months ago (when she finally let me take charge of her skin lol) , as they're the safest to go with for someone new to actives. And her skin has been looking healthier. I feel like a proud momma having designed my mom a routine that is gentle, barrier strengthening and regenerating! 😄 (Having said that, I'm considering including retinol in her routine now, do you think the granactive by Minimalist would be a good beginner friendly choice? She's never used retinols before) Kudos to you for consistently bringing valuable content to us! :)
Likewise with my mother... I don't add retinol in my mother s routine because I can't get her to use sunscreen religiously.. If ur mom uses sunscreen religiously u must get her retinol..

But still, she doesn't like complicated instructions, and adding retinol will require her to use a gentle cleanser, and proper moisturisation, among other precautionary methods. And considering she has to cook, which exposes her skin to heat, I don't want to add strong actives for her! Also seeing how my skin gets sensitised on occasions, she's scared of using anything new lol (I have a highly sensitive skin btw, not like I damage it on purpose!) Edit : You could explain the importance of sunscreen to your mom by showing her the picture of the old man's face whose one side was exposed to sunlight through the window and aged significantly faster than the other half. (sorry don't have a link, it's all over the Internet though) Evil tip, but just scare her :P, I tell her that all the progress she's made over the last couple months will be lost if she doesn't use sunscreen! (which is true actually!) not to forget, skin cancer!

Biosilk has lots of fregrence. Fregrence is simliar to boroplus kind cream. If someone has sensitive nose or headache issues, he/she can't bear this fregrence.

All ceramides in this biosilk cream comes after phenoxyethanol... And fragrance is not the last ingredient but in the middle of the list... Was about to buy.. but feel like Earth rythm ceramide / pulp ceramide serum is enough for me for now 🙈😛
Yes, you are right free bird. In a formulation all ingredients play a part and right at the bottom does not mean its not going to be effective- dose makes the poison remember :) as for fragrance, i have been fragrance free for 4 years and then reintroduced it back and honestly my skin is not suffering or being damaged because of it. I find no change in fact- my melasma is healing and my acne is healed. Iam no longer scared of using fragrance and in fact LOVE it! its very subjective
she can trythe retinol and peptide from deconstruct as its a mild retinol. it helps with fine lines. if her pigmentation is very marked then meet a derm and start on retin a 0.025% with a good sunscreen of course.

I've been eyeing the Chemist At Play acne control serum (niacinamide and azelaic acid) and it's also has ceramides in it. Currently using Hymos Hydrating lotion as a moisturizer, however I don't feel it's moisturising enough for the colder months. Still apprehensive about BioSilk because it's very thick, creamy in consistency...

i dontlike to mix anything with tretinoin..its best to ask your doc if you can :) i found biosilk great for my skin especially when the barrier was compromised

stop evrything and just cleanse and moisturise till it feels good again. you can def add an oil of your choice. once healed reintroduce products back slowly

Sandhya its best to use this moisturiser if your skin is sensitive and the barrier is not good. its more protective than curative...cetaphil will work at fading the pigmentation. So since cetaphil has spf yu cannot use it in the night so. you can introduce biosilk in the pm routine.

I have been using deconstruct nia and alpa arbutin serum past month. Mine is basically oily and acne prone skin. I have acne scars and pores. This serum worked really good. My skin quality has improved by 50%. Retinol is amazing not doubt in that but if you are a beginner with all these actives then please don't hurry. First use niacinamide. Later aftet some months of hold on these actives you can slowly use retinol. Yes! Niacinamide works really really good. Try it from deconstruct.

for active acne azelaic and retinol both are top ingredients. Both help with prevention and cure. So def add those. routine AM-PM- aa, azelaic, nia PM- retinol x 3 times a week once a week aha bha

Absolutely stopped tret as i wanted to test the decon peptide and retinol serum- yes those should not be combined.
EGF from minimalist are safe as thee are below 10 PPM which is a safety rating.

All ceramides in this biosilk cream comes after phenoxyethanol... And fragrance is not the last ingredient but in the middle of the list... Was about to buy.. but feel like Earth rythm ceramide / pulp ceramide serum is enough for me for now 🙈😛
Yes, you are right free bird. In a formulation all ingredients play a part and right at the bottom does not mean its not going to be effective- dose makes the poison remember :)
as for fragrance, i have been fragrance free for 4 years and then reintroduced it back and honestly my skin is not suffering or being damaged because of it. I find no change in fact- my melasma is healing and my acne is healed. Iam no longer scared of using fragrance and in fact LOVE it! its very subjective

she can trythe retinol and peptide from deconstruct as its a mild retinol. it helps with fine lines. if her pigmentation is very marked then meet a derm and start on retin a 0.025% with a good sunscreen of course.

I've been eyeing the Chemist At Play acne control serum (niacinamide and azelaic acid) and it's also has ceramides in it. Currently using Hymos Hydrating lotion as a moisturizer, however I don't feel it's moisturising enough for the colder months. Still apprehensive about BioSilk because it's very thick, creamy in consistency...

i dontlike to mix anything with tretinoin..its best to ask your doc if you can :) i found biosilk great for my skin especially when the barrier was compromised

stop evrything and just cleanse and moisturise till it feels good again. you can def add an oil of your choice. once healed reintroduce products back slowly

Sandhya its best to use this moisturiser if your skin is sensitive and the barrier is not good. its more protective than curative...cetaphil will work at fading the pigmentation. So since cetaphil has spf yu cannot use it in the night so. you can introduce biosilk in the pm routine.

I have been using deconstruct nia and alpa arbutin serum past month. Mine is basically oily and acne prone skin. I have acne scars and pores. This serum worked really good. My skin quality has improved by 50%.
Retinol is amazing not doubt in that but if you are a beginner with all these actives then please don't hurry. First use niacinamide. Later aftet some months of hold on these actives you can slowly use retinol.
