This is my biggest grower! When I started my Eurovision score board it was next to last and now it's 5th. But my whole top 10 is so good I wouldn't mind any of them winning.
Since they won Eurosong, been listening to their other songs and my god, I can say I'm a huge fan now!! 😍 they've stayed in my top 5 the whole season! Just hoping and praying Ireland qualifies this year! They deserve it for taking a huge risk and going for an artist that is so unique! This song and the video is a masterpiece in my eyes 😍💖

Fantastic video - this jumped Bambie Thug from my 3rd place to my 1st - Ireland is definitely qualifying.
This has been my #1 since Eurosong. I liked the song before that, but it was the Eurosong performance that showed me what a wildly talented person Bambie Thug is & convinced me that this song could do well at the ESC.
This video is just more of that, and I hope they make it through to the final!

If they can translate this artistry to the stage in Malmö, I can't see Ireland not qualifying tbh. The way that semi 1 is shaping up, this absolutely belongs in the final.

Very interesting suggestion that Bambie should go for a costume or image change when the song transitions into the lighter part. I notice the video depicts the chorus part as an almost dreamlike sequence.
Incidentally, that painting is in the National Gallery in Dublin : 'The Meeting On The Turret Stairs'.
I never expect Ireland will send these entries but I think it should qualify the televotes will love this plus we need Ireland in the final it has been like 6 years I think I did not like this at all first time when I heard it but it's very creative and unique and it grew on me
What I'm intrigued about is according to Bambie there's a revamp of the song but we wont hear it until Malmo!

This gives me an early 1900s, horror, film noir, witch feel. there’s something about when the song goes from the hard part into the soft part and then back is so amazing and seamless and it gives me a 1900s fairytale vibe.
Then the bridge is beyond amazing with this film noir or early 1900s Hollywood feel.
Amazing song, just unfortunate that Ireland is sending something this good and experimental in one of the strongest esc years I’ve ever seen
Yeah it does seem like in the previous editions, this would’ve really stood out and been on its own as the most unique. This year it’s much harder to stand out though
After hearing how some of Bambie's competitiors )in the same semi) aren't exactly the best vocalists, and how some of them are less lauded, it gives me hope that Ireland will scoot through to the finals.
This is most definitely the strongest package they've sent in an aeon, and Bambi themselves can deliver a vocal, so I don't see why this can't qualify.

This music video was so good, I was extremely impressed by the storytelling throughout. I actually found the transitions a lot smoother than when I heard than when I first heard the song. 😄So curious what they will do in Malmö.

I'm happy for Ireland! I suspect Bambi has some advantage in having trained ballet, since I can imagine ballet performances, like opera (at least the more modernistic productions) can have some really cool visual stuff going on. One of the things I'm most excited about before the ESC is to see what they will come up with for their performance! On a different note, I kind of wonder about what you mean by when you say that something looks expensive or deluxe? I interpret it as something being good quality and with attention to detail, but I'm not sure because I don't think that a higher cost necessarily means that something is better

I feel they’re going to announce Ireland as either the first or the last qualifier just because I know they’ll bring IT to the stage. I am manifesting it.
I too would love a "look change" on the stage, but i fear it might be too hard to do effectively live, in a way that is polished. Considering they have to do it more than once throughout the song, so i think moreso of the LEDS, lighting, staging, camera angles and choreo would be the best way to show the difference in parts more reliably!
I wonder would this "boyfriend" creature end up on stage... I'm not sure what i think about that, could be amazing, could be messy, i trust them to make the right choice though!
Whatever we do, i hope they keep the 2 shadow dancers from eurosong!! Just make those exact costumes with higher quality materials, and boom amazing!
They achieved a lot with just lighting at Eurosong to change the mood.
@myrawatters1036 yeah, i think trying to do it through outfit or makeup or hair, whilst impressive, is perhaps unnecessarily difficult to pull off in a way that doesnt interrupt their incredible performance presence as well as not look messy.

Tom the picture featured at the very end of the video is called "The Meeting on The Turret Stairs. It is in the National Art Gallery in Dublin and was painted by William Burton. It tells a sad and tragic tale I'm afraid. It is actually the favourite painting of the Irish people. Up until very recently it was my online image. It's so beautiful.

Bambie Thug is good entry this year. The only thing going them is the draw as we are the first half of semi with entries such as Croatia 🇭🇷 and Ukraine 🇺🇦. Hopefully as an Irish eurovision fan, Petra or Malin, one them will call out Ireland 🇮🇪 when the results are in.
If they bring this level performance to the live show they will do well. If they bring the same kind of performance as they did performing live when they were selected then I can the televote dumping them out in the Semi Final. Based on just the live performance I had them coming last at one point. Yet this video is near the top of my playlist

I know it's considered death spot but I would LOVE if Bambie was the one to open ESC2024. Can you just imagine that? It would be so awesome and lets face it, whether you like it or not you aren't gonna forget this. My only concern is how is this gonna sound live because national performance didn't sound anything like music video.
They’ll never put them second. It’s too crazy and different, they want something normal at that early spot. I think they will be 5,6 or 7th spot.

I think it's probably a bit too out there to open the contest. I reckon the EBU/SVT might think they need something a bit safer. Personally I have a feeling the Croatia might get the opening spot because they have a strong, upbeat and very catchy song. Also a lot may depend on what setup is required for the staging. If it's complex then it might get put just before an advertising break to allow the crew to strike and set up the next performance.
On the live performance I don't have as many concerns. We all know the sound balance on Eurosong was dreadful for all of the participants. I expect SVT will have a vastly better setup and I don't have worries about their ability to perform the song. Obviously though they'll have to watch their voice over the course of the two weeks but I reckon they are seasoned enough to know how to do that.

How to save a country's participation in Eurovision.
Normally I would skip Ireland on a playlist but not this year. Much like Germany last year Ireland are trying something different. Even if it flops nothing has been lost. It's much better to go out with an entry like this than to bomb with a dated boyband dirge.
