One of the Irish/Celtic gods of war was called The Morrigan. The Morrigan so happened to be a female Goddess. She was always to be found on the battle field in the form of a crow. She was also said to seduce only the greatest of warriors so she could have her wicket way with them.

@@UNCLEMOMO first the Romans gave pagans a bad name. Christian gave pagans a bad name but incorporated a lot of their holidays into the Christian calendar.
One of the most famous pagan holidays in Ireland was Samhain which became Halloween. It was a harvest festival, and it was the night that the vail between the unseen world, and the seen world was at its thinnest.

It has something to do with the devil if it's a inverted pentagramm which it seems to be in the video. Even if you try to protect it that it is ''Celtic paganism'' then why dress up like that and do a ritual with candles with a inverted pentagram on the ground. That is not Celtic paganism, simple as that. And I'm pretty sure ''it'' (since I don't even know what this person is) has a tattoo of satans horns. But idk, personally I don't support this and most people in Estonia where I am from also found this not to their liking.

Many religious people see this and assume she is the devil or worshiping satan. Yet the devil doesn't exist in paganism or even wicca. As a Scot I really love the celtic symbolism she uses. This feels like the most Irish entry in a long time.

Do you want to know why part of the lyrics Bambie sings about Jewish I'm assuming you want the real answer instead of religious bias. The truth is Solomon was the biggest witch that ever existed, almost all magic from all religions some way link back to him. God actually gave Solomon permission to do witchcraft in Judaism (Talmud). God gave a ring to Solomon to control demons and speak to animals, one of those demons was Asmodeus. Solomon controlled and commanded Asmodeus help to build his temple. The truth is magic isn't necessarily evil or wrong, the Bible is full of contradictions in itself and in history. Despite mythology of it, magic might be and shouldn't be played with unless you are taking it very seriously and know exactly what you're doing. I think it is mostly misunderstood though. Prayer technically could be a form of magic, people do magic every day without realizing that they manifest their reality

on 2023-th year i told, that was a little bit dissapointed, that north contries did not perform anything harder and darker))) this year my wish))) fulfieled, but now i think, that might be such concept is too much for me, but anyway, that is good show. Actually I love Faust) and Mephistopheles, though tragagy of this meeting is so strong... So) i do not know, if i deside to vote for this song, but i'l listen to it a few times more. But of course situation, when this song and song of our girls were in 1-st Semi-Final one after the other had a misterious meaning, as looked as stragle between hell and haevens.
    😍🌻❤
ps. i told you after 1-st semi-final, that my favorites (of course after our Ukrainian girls) Croatia, Ireland and Australia. Unfurtunately, Australia did not get((( to Grand Final.

It's not satinasim, demonology or anything of the sort... it's paying homage to Celtic Paganism and witchcraft which pre-dates christianity and gave us festivals such as Samhain (now known worldwide as Halloween)
The story behind the performance is that Bambie was hurt by their ex, so they use witchcraft to place a hex on him and conjour a new boyfriend... But the new boyfriend is not what they planned on ("your favourite colour compared to the others - is doomsday blue") so they destroy what they created

I have another interpretation, a bit more complex. I think it's very symbolic. Bambie plays with duality at the beginning, with blue/masculine/violence and pink/feminine/soft, and romantic elements.
In the end Bambie transcends the duality when using the trans flag, finally having the confidence to defeat the demons, even the song changes a lot.

I was so looking forward to this but I have an allergy to plagiarism and unfortunately, this performer was to inspired by Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson. The first part of the hook is just a 98% copy... As someone who loves to see boundaries pushed in all music forms - this felt like -" I can pull it off coz nobody will know and Marylin Manson is not cool anymore". Whether it's true or not - artists need to set higher standards for themselves. And especially with this style - where you show yourself as this original artist person. Otherwise, I would love to see the rebellious side of Ireland to flourish with paganism and Wicca references - just on a deeper level. We humans we sense these things - we can feel is something is really really honest - or a statement.
