This was a fun episode. I enjoyed the back-and-forth you guys had. That porg was riding Johanna's shoulder like a bantha.
8:00 Tony, no. The whole "George was just in it for the money" has never had an ounce of legitimacy to it.
- If it was money he wanted, he could have continuously made _Star Wars_ movies for the thirty-five straight years he owned it, but he didn't. He made six mainline movies, two TV Ewok movies and a few cartoons. Along with the theatrical rereleases, but that was just common practice at the time. Most of the material he released classify as "fun extras".
- If he wanted money, he could have just rehashed the Original Trilogy (a la _Star Wars: The Force Awakens_ (2015)), but he didn't.
- When it comes to time in development, the difference in that regard between him and Disney is staggering, He sat down to start writing the Prequels in 1994 (that's eleven years on from the release of _Return of the Jedi_ (1983)), there was a whole three years between the beginning of the writing phase and when the cameras started rolling, and another two years before it was released. And there was another three years between each subsequent film. Hardly the actions of a money grubber.
- Contrast that with Disney. There was less than a year and a half between the Lucasfilm sale, the Sequel Trilogy announcement and the cameras rolling. Barely three years between the announcement and release. They made five movies in five years. How's that for money grubbing?

Yes and no. He did very much care about the creative process, but merchandising was also a huge part of it, and I think a lot of the decisions in Return of the Jedi had merchandising in mind.
If he wasnt in it for the money, he should give me a couple billion of those dollars he made without question

@@gzz8551 Virtue signaling. It costs them nothing to change the name of Slave One. It does cost them to change the filming location for the live action Mulan, so they didn't do that. Its not about actually being a virtuous company, rather its about appearing to be with the least amount of effort or resources required. Its to appear virtuous rather than be virtuous.

My favourite part was the Mighty Morphin' Moped Rider's not having money for water to drink, yet they somehow maintain pristine clean space mopeds on a DESERT PLANET.

Bryce Dallas out directed Robert Rodriguez like crazy in just her one episode. RobRod has gotten lazy, especially when shooting action

I think time will redeem The Last Jedi. As someone who came to Star Wars as an adult, I didn't have years' worth of things I wanted to see built up in my head from countless schoolyard and sleepover conversations pontificating on what I wanted to see Luke do next. I'm not that kind of fan so from the outside, it looked like most of the people who didn't like TLJ were saying it didn't go where they wanted or expected. And it wasn't completely shot or directed like a studio product for hire. To me as a movie fan, not just a blockbuster fan-although I love a good blockbuster but they aren't the only kind of movie worth your time (please check out the French and British new wave, as well as the Chinese 5th Generation filmmakers) but as someone who loves film, TLJ felt like a real movie that happened to be about people in this universe. Luke was disillusioned and broken. Kylo was torn and ready to give up on both sides and do his own thing. Then Finn and Rose got to grow as people BECAUSE they learned even the best laid plans can go to pot and you have to adjust. And that takes trust! That throne room duel was epic. Stop trying to pretend you noticed every contrivance in the choreography the first time you saw it. Also, most fight choreography is nonsense! You start slo-mo analysing every movie fight, you won't be able to like any of them. Anyway, that's all I have to say.
I don't care what Disney says. Tales From Mos Eisley is canon!

Bland, with a sprinkling of colorful Vespa scooters. Upon which a cavalcade of Disney’s High School Musical extras are mounted. Plus Boba Fett being a wimp, unmasked was a neat direction to take. One would think.
They're Sand People. They earned the Tusken raider name when they slaughtered the settler population of Fort Tusken
After watching the Mandalorian, I had high hopes for Book of Boba Fett. It just feels a little sluggish at times. The action is fine, but I hope they branch away from the Bounty Hunter shenanigans.
I hope Season 2 will be better, if there will be one that is.

What bounty hunter shenanigans? Thats the issue, we had a series about a mandolorian bounty hunter that doesn't bounty hunt in the mandolorian, then we have another series about a mandolorian bounty hunter that doesn't bounty hunt in the Book of Boba Fett. Read the comics or novel of Shadows of the Empire. It goes into Fett taking Han to Jabba and the other hunters trying to steal his bounty. Look into Jordo Kast, a novice bounty hunter that impersonated Boba Fett when he thought Boba died in the Sarlac. Instead, in the Book of Boba Fett, we get The Last Samurai with Tuskens for half the show, then a couple episodes of the Mandolorian, with a smattering of "crime boss" except Boba isn't really committing any crime... For pete sakes, just have a show about bounty hunting already.
Tuskens are the aboriginal tribe of Tattooine, that had their land stolen by the white humans who later arrived. It makes it okay that they abducted Shmee and tortured her. And makes Anakin even a worst villain.
Stephen Root is the Judge in the one of the best TV shows Justified, with Timothy Olyphant
The Creature from episode 1 is from the super NES star wars. I think it was a boss.

@@scottneil1187 yeah but they didn’t exists until the chronicles of riddick came out and the follow up assault on dark Athena that I’m aware of. So to me they are riddicks weapons now in Star Wars. Also I agree the riddick universe is awesome.

The "Marica Lucas saved A New Hope singelhandedly in the edit" myth needs to go away, it's already been debunked. She was important, but she wasn't the only editor on the movie. Her big contribution was the putting a ticking clock element to the final battle. But she wanted to keep some deleted scenes.
And Porgs are better than Ewoks in that they look delicious.

Porgs were created to cover up the poffins, which would get in scenes. Not to say, they may have gone a little overboard with them, in the end.
They could have just CGIed them out...
This is such a BS explanation provided by Rian Johnson. It would have been far easier and more cost effective to CG out the puffins. Heck, Lucas himself had his CG artists digitally remove the insects flying around during the field scene between Anakin and Padme in Attack of the Clones.
The truth is that the porgs exist purely to market toys.
I've been trying to ignore all Star Wars related content after 2019, but I guess I'll watch this

The series featured good episodes when viewed by themselves (particularly 2, 4, 5, and 6), but the narrative holding them all together was weak. They could’ve done a better job at making it feel more cohesive and connected, but still, I enjoyed it for the most part.
I mean, hey… At least it’s not an irredeemable mess like RoS.
Book of Boba Fett was OK. Not great. Just OK. The Mandalorian set the bar pretty high, which made Boba seem worse than it was.
And the Prequels are good, actually.
It was meh, more bad than OK, 70% of it was pretty bad… Mandalorian is great compared to horrible new Episodes it also wasnt so amazing until season 2.

It was inconsistent, the pacing could be a bit off with the flashbacks, but it certainly wasn’t bland IMO. Could’ve been better, but also could’ve been A LOT worse. I guess that’s a nice way of saying it was mediocre, but I do believe it is a step or two above mediocrity. (Also, while I didn’t hate the mods, if their clothes and scooters were dirtier, I think they’d fit in better. The place is covered in sand. How are they so clean?!??)

Seeing two fans liking star wars without being over dramatic and being a crying Nancy about it....oh wait. Lol joking aside Book of Boba Fett could of well should of been better. Like the prequels and sequel trilogies, the Book of Boba fett has cool parts. It would be fun to get into a star wars fight or star trek fight with Tony.

Luke coming to get grogu at the end of season 2 was great. Then sending him back to Mando with just R2 was so funny. Like damn Luke I know you mad he didn't pick you but you couldn't at least drop him back off?

She was heading to eisly from espa and depending on which version of the map source you use can be anywhere from 90 to around 200 miles thats why she's not in the end battle
I always thought that Boba get would escape the Sarlacc pit and seek revenge on Han Solo, Luke and maybe Leia for killing Jabba, an iconic character that had about 3 lines and still was scary in the original trilogy now he seems to talk to much and doesn’t feel like the same character

If I am correct, wasn't the Jabba scene originally filmed when they filmed A New Hope in the 70's. But they took it out for some reason. Hopefully someone corrects me?
They're gonna replace rhe actor with stop motion but it was too difficult. Also the greedo scene was basically the same thing. Boba fett wasn't in the 70s stuff which is why they awkwardly green screened him in.

The high ground line works in the third movie as Obi-Wan knows how to counter that move as he used it on Darth Maul. You think Obi-Wan stopped thinking about that fight after it was over? He thought about it over and over while perfecting his form 3 defensive fighting style. He thought about all the counters Maul could have easily used and stopped him. Hence why he was prepared for that moment as it directly mirrors the Maul/Obi-Wan scene from Ep1. This guy beat Maul, Grevious, and Anakin in lightsaber duels, he is the epitome of absolute badass in lightsaber fights

I feel like they felt they needed to change Boba Fett because Din Djarin was already what everyone wanted Boba Fett to be and also I think their goal was to tell the story of Boba Fett reforming 🤷🏻. I thought the show was ok but great review

@Gzz I enjoy the Mandalorion. It's a dumb space hopping opera with some decent characters within the spirit of some of the older Star Wars material, The book of fett was a failure for me, but I never felt that when watching any Mandalorion shows.

As for Mando…I watched them all, the overall emotion was something between just-entertained-enough-to-not-switch-off….. to sheer boredom.

It's kinda messed up that despite being the worst of the series, Attack of The Clones managed to pump out The Clone Wars series which is one of the BEST Star Wars media, up until they shit the bed and turned Clone Wars into an animated movie. Clone Wars as a show was legendary. However, both the live action and animated Clone Wars movies sucked ass. Which proves that stories like The Clone Wars need time you just don't have for a movie in order to get it right.
Lmao honestly I hated the series from the beginning and the expected fan service from every angle was kinda weak, but overall it was super enjoyable
i cant wait for Dr. Strange 2 comes out and Allen Gillis Obi-Wan and Harold Ramis help fight deadites and Marvel villains with Ash Williams and Baby Yoda riding Blue Jr. from Jurassic Park 6 while eating the mini Stay Puft marshmelons.
