For those wondering, there ARE checkpoints in this level. If you notice when dave starts the level after dying, hes at a checkpoint. The point of this level is that there are checkpoints after every 3-ish sections. The fact that they have them AT ALL makes this one of the easier final mario challenge levels. I normally don't comment but I've had enough

To 100% the game you need to get all the flower coins and exits. If he beat the level and then found that out oh God you know he would be pissed because he didn't collect everything. This game takes about 8-9 hours to 100%. Well at least that's about what I spent in the game.
It's always the same. Starts a game all happy with full clown mode activated and slowly turns into a raging manchild once it starts to show some challenge, and eventually: a ragequit!
By the way, every final Mario level has no checkpoint in it. It’s supposed to be a final test for the player. So Nintendo giving the player a checkpoint in this level is actually a mercy on their part

Wow, it's almost like the bonus secret level(s) of any Mario game dating back to Super Mario World is going to be really tough with limited to no checkpoints. And I like how he uses the excuse of grinding for lives when the level starts you off at the beginning no matter what (making the concept of lives meaningless). I bet he was mad there was no exploit he could use like Dark Side of the Moon in Odyssey to say he beat it.

2 nights ago a watched a streamer beat this level on his first try, after half handle of Tito's, a blunt and 3 dabs. Some streamers are gamers and some streamers just stream games, guess which one dsp is.
That level has 2 check points one after every 3 rooms, and if you play online, other players can revive you to make the room easier to pass. It took me like 15 tires to beat that level.

Why did Dave waste all of his money on Jpegs rather than investing in extra lives? I had 99 lives doing this, as I knew it would be tough, knowing how tough all the other true final Mario levels are. At least this one gives you checkpoints, I would have personally preferred a few extra checkpoints in it, but I was able to do it, but I missed the top of the flagpole, so I have to do it again one day for true 100% 😢
