and we did it, the final entry in the super mario wonder playthrough! it was a great run while it lasted, enjoyed it a bunch :) art direction was fantastic, super charming, and of course being able to play as my girl daisy helped make it that much more enjoyable

The most painful part of this was seeing Nick miss the top of the flag poll meaning if he wants to 100% the game he has to do it all over again.
It just hurt me seeing him miss that flagpole, knowing what it means.

@@rowletthejowlet6241he was holding his breath for most of the final level, and was thankful that he managed to first time the invisible section. if he said he found it easy (which i don't remember him saying about the final level) he's lying.
Nick failing to get the top of the flagpole at the end which means he has to do the ENTIRE course over again is the part that hurts.
The invisibility section is a pain and I freely admit I only passed it because there was a japanese player also on that stretch and they waited near the steps leading to the ending so I could touch them as a ghost when I missed the green balloon fishes.
If he doesn’t then no wonder he’s terrible

That Happened to me and I got so mad because I spent 3 hours to complete that level to miss the top of the flag pole
That happened to me, but my second time through I first tried everything but the glide badge. Apparently two hours of attempts makes you good at something
Beat it on my first second try cuz the balloons caught me out, other than that it was alright
Doing this was stressful indeed but missing the top of the flagpole hurts worse as you gotta do it all over again to truly 100% this.
I wish the switch had achievements

It's a bit easier if you play as yoshi/nabbit for just getting the stupid flag

6:23 You didn't die here because you pressed down, causing you to slide at the last second. And when sliding, you instantly kill any enemy that can be jumped on, apparently no matter what angle they're coming from

The spring feet part is by far the hardest. The only difficult part in the invisible part is getting from the purple to green balloon guys.

After spending well over 100 lives on the final final test, it is very nice to watch somebody else suffer through this as well

@@lllULTIMATEMASTERlll it's a hard last level for sure, but not the hardest mario final level by any means. the invisibility is also overhyped as being difficult. i had much more trouble with the invisibility badge 2 than i did with this. i could have gotten lucky, but i did it on the final level first try (with multiple tries on the badge challenge)

Hearing Nick curse in spanish being a chilean cracks me up everytime.
Tip for the crotch jump and invisibility parts
On the couch jump one you can just hold the stick down the entire time so you don't do a ground pound
And on the invisibility part just keep pressing "X". It let's you "see" where you are but a warning, you can't run when pressing "X" so keep that in mind.

Congrats! That invisibility section can be really rough! I do wish Mario Wonder had more crazy challenges like the Special World (and especially the Final Final Badge Marathon). The regular Worlds 1-6 just all felt like they were lacking a bit of challenge. Though, I do understand Nintendo wanted to keep this game manageable for gamers of all ages.

That last level took me for ever, I was so stressed. But watching someone else go through it felt like therapy
“I’m nervous I’m going to run out of lives” while ignoring all the coins available. I must have died 200 times in that level. Scraping for coins is all that keep me going
There is a harder special world in the mountain where its the rythm game but each time you jump on the walls poison comes on you
The worst part about the invisibilty badge is that you can't even see where you're going to land. Even the clouds don't help you.
As someone who went through this level recently and had the same amount of frustration, i totally feel you. And it feels so bad for laughing throughout the video knowing exactly how painful each death was 😂

On the invisibility badge zone, I placed a chapstick at the bottom of my screen where the camera followed my character. That way I had a general idea of where I was when cosplaying as a dad searching for milk

I changed the ground pound controls specifically because of the issue Nick kept having - press down to ground pound just doesn't work well with the press down to charge up your jump badge.

"The Meatball Effect" is when you get to a certain point in a level, you die, and to get to that point again you're dead-set on getting back to that part where you died, and because you're so concentrated on getting to that part, you're more prone to messing up and dying to the easier part of the level.

Spring jump was the hardest part of the final final challenge for me. Yes even compared to the invisible challenge.
I had to get a extra power up in another level to pass that shit. Its impossible
