      Exactly! What a crap mother she has proven herself to be that she'd raise a kid that thinks it's fun to hurt and torment animals. Some people are just a waste of space and she and her spawn are such people.

      Throwing rocks and stones at a dog in its own yard, or even at an animal not doing anything is so gross. But to find out the kid also carries a knife is pretty scary. If he stabbed someone just for fun I guarantee his mum would still say, "he's just a boy, he doesn't know any better". If he doesn't know not to harm others at the age of 16, you failed as a mother.

      might have had something to do with sensing the hostility from the woman more than anything. Dogs aren't stupid. An officer with a gun? that's normal. A hostile person with a gun? Definitely not normal or right.

    • @tearstoneactual9773
      @tearstoneactual9773 Před rokem +102

      It's body language and smell. The hostility from the lady would be easy for Sarie to pick up on her scent, her posture, her tone of voice. The officers were relaxed, calm, cool, collected.

    • @deaniej2766
      @deaniej2766 Před rokem +51

      The training about the guns is fairly simple to explain, but not to teach. It's a matter of the dog knowing that the uniforms of officers makes them okay. I had a dog that would bark at man in a hat. Dad was in the Army and the uniform requires a hat. That hat meant that Dad was going to work, so bark, then the dog extended it to bark at all hats. It's not exactly the same thing, but close enough. Gun with uniform, good - gun without uniform, bad. I don't know how the dog would have reacted with a plain clothes officer. Besides, that coffee and doughnuts addiction smell never goes away.

    There was another update to the last story:
    The mother showed up at OP's houses and tried to get the tenants evicted with fake eviction notices. However, OP had warned the tenants about her, so they called the police. Mother was arrested and OP got a temporary restraining order against her.
    That's not even the craziest part, though: remember the so-called "misunderstanding"? What really happened is that OP was brutally beaten by their father after being outed as gay, and ended up in the hospital. The mother tried to convince OP to lie that they didn't know who beat them, but an aunt convinced them to tell the police the truth. Needless to say, a criminal record of child abuse would put an end to anyone's teaching career.
    OP is currently no contact with the father too. Even though he's apparently going through therapy himself and is no longer with the mother, I think it's best that they stay no contact.

    • @spydersoup8447
      @spydersoup8447 Před rokem +25

      With the bit about OP being gay and his parents being violent towards him and making him cover up who beat him up, it makes sense. OP's mother is pretty much painting this as if the whole thing is OP's fault for being gay and that if it wasn't for him being gay, his parents would've never gotten their own lives destroyed. No, it's not OP's fault you got your own lives destroyed, it's your fault for being homophobic egoistics.

    Concealed carry without a permit and the switchblade are probably misdemeanors depending on the state. But carrying a weapon while on probation is 100% a felony. It violates parole, and has an additional charge. Depending on the severity animal cruelty can also be a felony. She's going away for a LOOOONG time.

      @in desperate need of a scotch I will add a little to your comment.
      One very effective federal gun law that is rarely used is a the law concerning a convicted felon found in possession of a firearm. Somehow that law is never enforced.
      In my state there is no registration nor any permit required to carry a concealed firearm. Requirement for registration of firearms is a state law and varies by state.
      I wonder how an average dog, one untrained in that very specific task, was able to sense and react to a firearm concealed much less a switchblade.

    • @drwboy07
      @drwboy07 Před rokem +1

      @@glennrishton5679 I know I asked myself the same question about the dog smelling the firearm, why didn't the dog react to the cops the same way? If the dog is train to smell gunpowder then it should've went nuts on the cops. As far as the gun charge goes depends on the state and the DA if they want to follow through with the charge. It is a felony if a person is on probation and they are carrying a weapon does not matter the weapon. And they have up to a year to charge you for it. I have a buddy that did some dumb shit and got put on probation. When he finally decided to fly straight, he got a job working at a warehouse. One night his cousin picked him up and they got pulled over, he told the cops he was on probation and had his work box cutter on him. He was still arrested, it was almost a year when the DA waited until the last second to charge him. He said he had like 14 hrs left til he was a free man.

    The last story reminds me a lot of my mother. My father, since I was little, had non stop been working to keep our family fed and the bills paid, while sat in front of the TV drinking a beer, not working. It's not that she couldn't work, she chose to not work and be a stay at home mom, but not feed or take care of her kids. She would just feed off of my dad. There were numerous incidents where my mother was drunk, while my dad was working, and she'd physically and emotionally abuse us. We didn't tell our dad because she'd tell us we'd get taken away from both parents or if my dad divorced her she'd keep the kids because she's a woman. My dad could have won but he didn't want to risk that choice.
    Well, my father passed away in the beginning of 2017, wasn't suicide, just health issues. And our mother got even worse with the abusing. I was the one that last spoke to my dad, she constantly blames me for his death ( I know it had nothing to do with me, I had zero control of his health) and so my bf let me move into his place. My mother slowly started to have a drug problem and would choose heroin over my two youngest sisters food. It was so terrifying to think she'd do that in our childhood home. We all left her there because she would never listen. Now we're all doing fine and she's supposedly clean. She called me to apologize, then expected me to apologize, but I did nothing wrong. She said she had to take care of me while I had an ED, but she gave it to me by constantly calling me the fat child, and she never took care of me. She'd just call me an anorexic bitch and I didn't need to socialize with guests because I wanted attention. So I blocked her and told her how I felt all those years, and forgiveness is earned, not expected and she's far from earning my forgiveness.
    Sorry this was long to read.

    The key thing is to realize when your own family members are toxic. Then you have to find a way out. Once you live without the negativity for a few months you'll realize "I feel much better now." I'm never going back. Them saying, "I'm never speaking to you again" is actually a blessing.

He woke up in the hospital. He aunt and uncle took care of him and protected him from his parents. His mother wanted him to lie about who beat him and say it was a stranger, but his aunt and uncle encouraged him to be honest. Apparently the letter opened up the door to his PTSD and bad memories. OP is amazing and I’m glad he has the support he needs. His parents and his brother can go straight to hell.

I know loads of people that go to the graves of their loved ones and sing happy birthday or talk to them. I've even seen a bride and groom go into a cemetery to lay their wedding wreaths on the graves of her deceased parents. That's a normal and healthy way to grieve. Shame on OP's family. The kids got told off and we got the dog. He was the gentlest dog I've ever know, and thats saying something, we named him Magic (apparently it was a thing to name your black lab/black dog Magic for black magic....I still don't really understand but he was my baby.) He lived to a very old age until we had to put him down. I was very young when he died but still remember how sweet he was.

      A lot of times if a word is very old, the American way is the original. We broke off from England in the 1700's. We say soccer because that is what it used to be called in England for example.
      You guys updated your language pronunciation to make it sound more posh (mostly starting in London).
      English accents also vary wildly from region to region in a small space. If America had so much variation there would be thousands of accents and pronunciations. So not all Americans prounce everything the same. Other countries are most familiar with the Hollywood or Southern or New York accents because of movies. Just like the posh London accent is most familiar.

      @@Ayaforshort Oh that old chestnut about us updating our accent to sound posh is a myth. Received pronunciation only dates back to the 19th century. When the BBC was formed, RP was the accent they chose to communicate in, but it is considered that less than 5% of Britain speaks in that accent today. We have so many accents, as you say, which one in particular was supposed to have been updated?!
      Also football goes back in Britain far longer than the word soccer. Football was first mentioned in official records in the 14th century, long before America was colonised. Soccer used to mean the new rules of association football was not around until the 1860's ; D
