In this episode we prep the engine for going back in the engine bay by installing the starter and some of the muffler brackets, then we go ahead and put the motor back in the engine bay
That lifting table is the 1,000lb hydraulic table from harbor freight. I did a bit of reading and it will lift more than 1,000 AND the engine/tranny combination should be far less than that. Definitely a must have!
I stopped by my Porsche Dealer yesterday. I wanted to order the bolts to bolt the transmission to the engine. Surprisingly Circle Porsche in LBC, said he couldn't find them on the PET. I was amazed. He said he would call me back but never did. What are the bolts sizes for bolting on the transmission and how many? thanks.
Awesome video
Cool, I have been waiting for this video. I should be mating my tranny and engine this weekend too. Will video as well. Thanks.
Nicely done. A pleasure to watch and learn👍
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Way exciting!!! I loved this vid.
top👍
Nice job Adam! Appreciate the content.
I’m glad someone can find it useful
Thanks for the video, but it looks like you forgot to install the lower nut that fastens the starter in place. Just fyi.
I appreciate the comment. I looked and that lower nut is there. BTW - It has to be removed later anyway to connect the starter to the ground wire.
whats the capacity of your lifting table? I was kinda surprised it was able to lift the engine/trans combo

Did you ever get the "connectivity" video going? I am still stuck on the vacuum hoses.
I’m in the middle of editing, apologies. I’m out of town so I’ve been delayed

I’m pretty sure there are only 4, two of them are 15mm nuts and two are Allen nuts(one of which holds the starter in place )
@@beardedgarage Thanks you are correct. I found the bolt (allen nut) in one of the many bags I have to put this car back together.
@@ocmacman17 glad to hear! Amazingly I have VERY few parts left over after assembly
