You have to carry the Cavern Key all the way to the Graveyard biome and find the gate there. That leads you to the Cavern and then the Guardian's Haven.
it's a real shame you have to kill him, he's actually a pretty decent skeleton
I have a very active brain and when I first saw the ending I was immediately think of how the beheaded could have befriended the giant and tries solving the problem together
@@kelp-ist3469 the beheaded is a complete asshole because of the panacea (don't know if it's right). If he still was the King then he would probably try to reason, but seeing how even as the King he was kind of an ass the results wouldn't change much

The dude's so badass he doesn't even die, he only does that in the final 4BC showdown, in which he dies in an even more badass way- deciding you beat him fairly, giving you the 5th Boss Cell and telling you to put it to good use, and them EXPLODING IN A BLAST OF GOLDEN LIGHT FROM THE INSIDE OUT LIKE AN ABSOLUTE MADLAD 😂
Gotta admit, too, that I've got a lot of respect for him- if I had to fight something about the size of a cockroach that constantly climbed all over me and persistently hit me violently in the eyeball with a frying pan, I'd have a straight-up seizure- I can barely keep my crap together when a single cockroach/spider gets on me. Granted, those lil motherf***ers haven't figured out how effective going for the eyes would be, BUT IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME DAMNIT 😅

The guy's an absolute legend. He got that spear stuck in him cause he kept arguing with the King's genocidal methods of disposing infected people, and he was one of the only genuinely good-hearted individuals in the higher end of the island's society, trying to look after the people.
Did everything he could to save them from the outbreak and the King's violence, and ended up getting nearly killed and locked up for it... Now that he's woken up everyone's dead or infected monsters, and all hope is lost. One of the lore messages even tells you that down near his Haven, quiet sobbing can be heard coming up from the lake, saying that the Giant was always a rather sensitive soul.
YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT HE'S CUTE 😅 can't help but feel sorry for the poor fellow though
Kinda reminds me of the Grimm from the Grimm adventures of Billy and Mandy, even personality wise. He's supposed to be the more dangerous one but he has a more scary master apparently

it is awesome boss, i just hate that hands float so high in the air ahahahahha
The best character in the game, too, the absolute legend was trying to save people during the entire outbreak, and ended up being killed by the army the first time around because he kept arguing with the King's methods of saving the island by imprisoning and mass-murdering infected. The poor guy was one of the only true heroes on the island, and ended up getting killed because he disagreed with the King's genocidal violence... Meeting the King again, I don't blame him for giving one of the most justified middle fingers of all time. Favourite character, hands down.

Took me 15 minutes to realize the cavern key isn't a permanent item, you have te get it again if you didn't make it to the door without dying....

I guess I'd like to know how you have 19k health that early into the game.
The giant is the second boss of a run. You can find it instead of the Time Keeper. This means you need to clear at least 6 biomes before this fight. So it is not "early game".
And at the time, S rank weapon would give each 2 scroll updates, so on top of your normal scrolls you would have 8 scrolls for weapons and skills and 2/3 from amulet

Giantkiller X or higher grade class can take 500k or more critical dmg, if you get lucky upgrade got 300 dmg multiple 🔥 good luck👌
How do u damage him so much,cuz for some reasons even with top tier weapons i deal trash damage?Maybe that's somehow connected with the hand of the king outfit or what? I'm just in despair
Well this video was done in a previous patch in which you could get more scrolls and weapons gave scroll bonuses
If you are having trouble with the Giant I would suggest either going fulltank (green scroll and heavy weapons) or full ranged/turrets (purple scroll)
I personally prefer purple if you want a fast clear with a lot of dodging (it's glasscannon)
And tank if you need time to learn attacks and pattern

the entrance is in the graveyard, but you need to get the cavern key at the start and put it in the statue in the graveyard (underground)

No, you don't need anything apart from homunculus rune, you stand on the edge and press the homunculus key, than you jump in mid air and you should be able to get it
EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out from the other comments.
Actually, might be easier to wait for a run where I find an amulet with the Extra Jump feat in the Quarters.

It's the big door at the start of Prisoners quarter, you enter and you get the key, that you have to bring to the Graveyard

Yeah, the King got his consciousness transferred into the little blob thingy you are now on request by the Alchemist, a rather sketchy scientist who worked for him. The Alchemist's experiments in creating the super blob may have led to the Malaise, making the King both inadvertently responsible for it's outbreak, and directly responsible for genociding thousands in extreme attempts to stop it's spread.
In fact, the Giant was only "killed" and locked up in the same cell you start the game in because he was on the King's personal guard (being a giant F-off Skeleton with laser-eyes goes well on a resume for that), and he was horrified by all the suffering the King had caused, arguing against him. The King had him overwhelmed, trapped in a coma-like state and locked up. You can kinda see why the Giant's pissed at you... Old you stabbed him in the back and when he wakes up everyone's dead or a Malaise-ridden monster. He goes down to a lava lake at the bottom of the island to mourn in solitude, and then the MF reincarnated King strolls in right in front of him. Understandably, the Giant hates your guts.
But yeah, you are the original King, despite being a rather tough lil blob right about now. It's why the King doesn't respond or move at all when you finally find him on the throne- he's a vegetative husk. His mind is long gone, and it's standing right in front of him, possessing a random decapitated corpse it found.
How do i get my head long enough to unlock the doors
when you beat for the first time the hand of the king you unlock the homonculus skill, that lets you detach your head from the body (on pc default key i think it's "v" if i'm not mistaken). If you have the skill stay on the edge of the platform press the key to detach the head and hold right, than do a jump to go even further and you should have reached the other platform

I had trouble at first to, so don't worry: basically you have to stand on the edge, use the key to detach the head and and the head is flying to the right you hold down right movement button and then jump button and you should be able to do it!

Technically he ain't dead, though he does die in the final showdown with him (he gives a little speech and gives you the 5th Boss Cell, then explodes in that golden energy he's powered by cause he's done with all this crap). He is kinda the best character, though. He was a genuinely kind soul and got imprisoned by the king for arguing with him and trying to help the citizens during the outbreak of the sickness. Now he's woken up from his coma and everyone is dead or a monster. The game sometimes tells you that quiet crying can be heard from the lava lake sometimes, and that the Giant was always a sensitive soul 😢

If you position yourself on the border at the right and press the homunculus rune key, and then jump you should be able to get there ;)

the first you get just outside the spawning area, there is a big hole in the wall (mind you, in alpha version of the game), then you need to put the key into the altar in the graveyard, and then you unlock the new biome (cavern) go in, complete it and then you fight the boss (and unlock the giantkiller blueprint)

Well....
There is the fact that he used to work for the King's (you) royal guard (being a giant damn skeleton with laser eyes) but he was a genuinely kindhearted person, and he was horrified by all the suffering the Malaise was causing, and all the pain the King was causing with his rather violent and genocidal preventative measures. The King had him nearly killed and trapped in a coma-like state in the prisons for treason against his authority, and now that he's woken up again, the whole island either died horrible agonizing deaths or became a Malaise-ridden monster, with the King's murderous methods only causing unnecessary heartache and suffering.
The Giant swum down to a lava lake at the bottom of the island to mourn in solitude, and now the super-blob-creature that the King had his consciousness transferred into (long story, but his demand for the Alchemist to experiment on doing this may have created the Malaise in the first place, meaning this is even more the King's fault) strolls in like a right bastard directly in front of him.
You can't blame the Giant for hating your guts, can you, after everything you did as King before becoming the blob-thingy? The Giant genuinely wanted to help and keep people safe, and now everyone he's ever known is dead or a monster, mostly due to you.
I think him giving you the middle finger is the slightest bit justified- the Giant's one of the only true heroes in the whole game at the end of the day.

He will awake in the prisoner quarters and destroy a door near the start, you will need to take the key in that side room and bring it to the graveyard and unlock the cavern biome

@@thatguyyoudontknow well, if you have it on steam, with the legacy update you can play any patch you want, but I don't think new patch version are compatible with older (but older are compatible with new)

It is in the graveyard, in the level below the surface that require a key to enter, it is the usual route if you go in the graveyard (i hope this is useful)

If you defeated the giant you have already unlocked his area, therefore you should not need the key to the Caverns, you now need to work towards unlocking 5Bc and killing secret boss

The Cavern can be accessed from the Graveyard in 0 or 1 BossCell, or from the Graveyard or Slumbering Sanctuary un 2BC or more (once you unlock it)
Was this in the game at release? I only have 1 BC but I wasn't even aware this was in the game
no, it is one of several new free update and dlc that the game got in time (this is the latest)

How to open that cavern key room
You need to kill the hand of the king the first time, then the giant will awaken, you go inside the door that has been broken at the start and take the cavern key, then you have to go to the graveyard and use the cavern key on the stone that opens the door

If you mean the homunculus rune, you need to time it correctly and position yourself on the edge of the platform, and by using the momentum of the first throw you need to jump and go under the platform 😉
Then you need to go to the graveyard and unlock the giant biome

@@coop3965 ohw man, im sorry, if it is of any help, you can unlock it at 0 cell difficulty, and after your first win, you can get to the giant directly from forgotten sanctuary on 2bosscell behind a 2 bosacell door (generally behind the clock room exit)
you mean forgotten sepulcher or slumbering sanctuary. like i know the short cut but i accidentally rest my data that had 4 boss cells so i cant do that. i have one boss cell
