I have a stroller for my dog and some people have actually asked me if she can walk. My dog is my ESA and she comes with me everywhere and it's a way to keep her contained. She loves it and loves chilling out in it.
Thank you for saying that people shouldn't jump to conclusions! My baby girl just had hip displasia surgery and can't walk so we use a stroller and i can often hear the chuckles from people passing us by. I sometimes make a point of educating people with kids by explaining our predicament so they grow up to do better than us but it means a lot when someone with your platform advocates
Exactly! I understand a lot more now. With my girls aging, with luxating patella and with Milton heart murmur, they can get tired 😢

I'm playing with the idea of getting a stroller ffor my Laila as well. She's having a hard time walking any longer diistances (like, over 500m), but still does enjoy being outside and exploring a lot - and life in general, of course. But, with her not being able to walk far, I have to either carry her or put her into her bike basket and go by bike (I don't have a car anymore). Or we could go by bus/train.
There's just soooo many reasons for dogs to need a stroller. And actually, before Laila had all these problems, I kinda didn't understand either. But at least where I live, people are getting more and more tolerant of such things for dogs. Like Lailas sunglasses. People just love it, the way she looks etc. But I would have never gotten those if not for our vet. She toldd me, that in order to protect Lailas eyes while biking, she needs protective glasses. And for trial, I got a cheap pair, which where sunglasses. They fit and she just looks sooooo cool with it. But they really do serve a purpose. And there's also a lot of dogowners asking where I got them, as their furbaby needs some as well for motorcycling and other stuff. So, I share that info as well.

We put PJ's on our little girl mostly from late fall til spring, She enjoys the extra warmth they provide for her especially after she is done playing outside in the snow. Love your channel, it is always full of useful information.
My cavi girl has SM CM for 13 years. It’s a struggle with medications etc. she doesn’t walk well. She has a stroller we push her around the neighborhood in. Everyone loves seeing her sitting up enjoying the ride.

My Shih Tzu/ Cavalier cross, Hugo, wears pyjamas to calm him. It works like a dream. I got him a Thundershirt many years ago which helped his anxiety when I moved. I also put on his sweaters ( indoors ) when he appears stressed but in the summer, his pj’s work just as well but are cooler.

We have a dog stroller too and our angels love it. We use it because two of our four pups have grade 4 heart conditions and our Cardiologist suggested they don’t go on long walks. They still like to be on the walks with their fur brother and sister though. This way they are included.

I love to see Herky and Milton in their pj's! ❤ They look so cute. And thank you for educating us about the need for dog Pj's. I knew that they were needed to help prevent molting hair for people with dog allergies but I didn't know it can be calm an anxious dog.i think there are some people who think that dressing dogs is silly but if it has a benefit then why not? Along with a HEPA air purifier, I vacuum everyday and use a 10-inch lint roller for my comforter - just for one, 40lb tri-color ckcs. Maybe I need to take it to the next level with a pair of (light) pajamas. Do you have anything in his size?

Cavys overheat so easily so I prefer to keep Mabel naked as often as poss. Cold winter nights is one thing though, but neutral nights and summer I prefer none. Also funny you didn’t mention the cold?! 😁

Don’t normalize pijamas. It can be misused often. This is more like a list for your own benefit than for the dogs. Speaking from my own experience and also my own vet’s advice, it is not a good idea to use the pijamas because they trap the yeast and fur inside and dogs can later develop allergies to their own yeast just like my cavalier did.
It’s cute for the aesthetics and maybe a picture or two but that is pretty much it. As for the kid trying to grab the dogs that is solely your responsibility to teach them not to.
I actually disagree… you decided that they would sleep in bed with you. If they slept in a kennel at night you wouldn’t have the fur or hygienic reasons.. so the only ones that really work here is after surgery which they hopefully only have their spay or neuter. And anxiety is only if they deal with anxiety at the high anxiety time ie fireworks.. so there is no medical need it’s your personal choice for looks… which is 100% valid.

I completely agree as a vet. There is no medicial need for a dog til wear a pyjamas. It is a human need and the arguments in the video are human based.
Listen I love dogs just as much as anybody does but you shouldn't have them sleeping in your bed let him sleep on the floor next to your bed let him sleep somewhere else but Jesus Christ don't have dogs sleeping in your bed I wouldn't even have my children sleeping in my bed!!
