As always another great video Scott. I learn something that helps me in the shop every time and for a 57 yo rookie that means allot. Cant wait till Saturday on the 1st when i can order the carb stand and some sticker. Take care brother.

Hey Scott, Those bolt insulator sleeves are to reduce the conduction of heat from the motor to the carb usually.. Obviously it's not an issue with a rubber intake boot.. Great videos btw..

Just wild to me such a big saw with a 20in bar! Bet it ripps! Good stuff see ya next time! Oh and yes ive put wrong pump diaphragm in before but like you caught it in time!

I saw those pumps on the S.O. truck and was tempted, but they advise against using it for anything I'd wanna use it for. It seems a lot less awkward than using one of those drill pumps and a cordless drill. I kinda still want one though
I have to wonder of they experienced problems pumping fuel or if its all just lawyer talk.

Luckily you woke up and remembered the muffler bearing. If those aren't torqued down correctly you'll fry out your muffler belt for sure.
Now I know muffler belts are a real thing. As a youth I used a lot of different muffler belts to keep exhaust components from dragging on the ground.

Don't torque the muffler bearings too tight because you will crack the nylon cage.
Lotta cracked nylon cages these days.

I purchased one of those Snap on fluid transfer pumps also the 1st week they were on the truck. My only complaint is the hard hose is too small for hydraulic reservoirs and the big hose is too big.
I think the threads are the same as a garden hose. Shouldn't be hard to find a medium hose or barb fitting.

The gas looked a little more then standard mix.
I dont get that much smoke with 45 but do with 32
Seems very low use for 08
Must be about one of the first years of the 395 in 2008

Ya it was pretty dark but it didn't smell bad. Who knows what ratio or what brand or combination of brands oil he used.
As weak as Snap-on's impacts are i am surprised it was able to lift a liquid LOL.
So wuts the part # on that muffler bearing 🤔 ?
It doesn't matter, they're on back order like so many other parts.
Nothing worse than a untorqed muffler bearing ,that's what happend to the challenger space craft😅
