- Days after an assassination attempt, Slovakia’s prime minister Robert Fico remains in serious condition, but the worst may be over, according to his deputy. A suspect remains in custody. VOA’s Arash Arabasadi has more.

"VOA is funded in whole or in part by the American government." Is it in whole or in part? That's an easy question to answer, and no need for ambiguous statements.
On occasion VOA receives donations but it is a US funded agency as part of numerous American outreach efforts like the peace corps. It is certainly pro American but it does good work. You can also take the time to google such questions in the future.

If VOA receives funding from both the government and private sources, it's not wholly funded by the government, so the first part of the statement "in whole or in part" is not true. Knowing that VOA receives funding from private sources, we know that it IS funded "in part" by the government. The "either/or" statement is false.

it is an unacceptable simplification to say he is prorussian anti american, you should do much better than that, he was at the power when slovakia joint nato-he supported it, he met the ukrainian prime minister recently proclaiming strong support for ukraine in the eu, he thinks the war does not have a military solution, his goverment also continues sending massive humanitarian aid to ukraine and support ukrainian refugees
Amazing! When the shots rang out, almost the entire security force here dispersed, rather than try and cover the President. The President ends up on the ground and still in the open line of fire that could come from any other directions. Notice the Security Officer in the white shirt that runs rather than pull his fire arm and point it in the direction of the assailant. This is some of the worst security training that I believe that I have ever seen.

First of all I do not approve the attempted assassination of Robert Fico. It's a tragedy and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Actually there is written that if someone do not agree with Government politics, the person who publishes disagreement automatically incites hatred and violence. So if the opposition is going to be "opposition" or the media will publish something against the government, they automatically incite violence against the government. It starting to look like that Slovakia is slowly turning into police state.
