Nigeria denies plans to host foreign military bases

  • The statement is in response to concerns that the U.S. and France are pressuring Nigeria to allow them to host bases after they were kicked out of neighboring, Niger. Information Minister Mohammed Idris says any suspicion among observers that Nigeria is even considering approving foreign military bases is baseless.
