Every time my 109 SIII Truck Cab causes me some headaches I visit Seriously Series to get inspired again. Now with winter just around the corner and salted roads looming on the horizon my Landy soon will be locked away for a while. Time to come here and enjoy some Australian sun :-)

Great look around Geoff the vehicle seems extremely well prepared for remote travel i am wondering why you don't have a fan cowl to assist with air flow but other than that you have obviously got a great result as you seem to be able to get there and back. Looking forward to more videos.

I have a s3 1975 109 2.25 I’m just starting on it. (It has a lot of rust and a blown head gasket) lots of good ideas thanks!!!Did you ever contemplate a tdi 200 or 300 swap ??
Hi Gadget. To be honest, no. The 2.25 ltr works well for the kind of adventures which we do as it is simple, tough and can be fixed with a oily rag and screw driver. However fitting a 200 or 300 tdi would be a interesting project. Cheers Geoff
Great content! Love how you keep on upgrading the 88.Are the arb lockers the standard lockers with 10 spline? Many told me the crown wheel wouldn’t fit, but always felt that can’t be true. May I ask why you didn’t get a 24 spline arb diff? I understand that usually halfshafts are the limiting factor, but since yours are custom made…
Hi Simon. This is a subject we are yet to cover. Depending on what series of Rover diffs you have you will need a spacer between the crown wheel and the airlocker unit, you will not need this on later diffs. We kept it the diff center as 10 spline, and yes sourcing axles becomes a problem and this is a problem if we snap one, where as the set up we currently have we can change it back to fit the standard axles in the field. We have modified the Series to refine it not, to try and over complicate it. I hope this helped. Cheers Geoff

second: living in colombia i am experience some really high temperature inside the cabin- must be the same in australia. what do you do to cool the inside of the car, beside open the window and the front inlet?

Hi bernd. They flaps on the tide are kick flaps to let additional air into the cabin. We usually take the door tops off and this keeps the temp in the cab at a okay temperature. Kind regards, Geoff

The SU/ HIF 44 is a great refinement to the Series Land Rover. Better acceleration and power. As the motor is still being sorted after issues I can’t comment on fuel economy for sure. Kind regards, Geoff
Good day Geoff, love the content of your video's. What make diff lock did you install in your Series 3 Land Rover? I am from South Africa and would like to install a diff lock in my 1979 Series 3 109. The internet is not really helping in finding a supplier for such an old vehicle.
Hi Petrus. We currently run the ARB airlockers in the front and rear. I believe they are the R11 or R15 configuration. I would suggest having a look on John Craddock as they sell the complete kit and this is much easier than trying to deal with ARB. Kind regards, Geoff

Absolutely. Harder on myself than anyone else ever will be though. I love Series Land Rovers. I love my 2a. It's currently going through a rebuild. Has a rebuilt motor, basically the same as yours but I went for the camshaft out of the 2.5 petrol on top of the other engine mods. Saving to fit the gear splitter, front disc brake conversion and soft top. It currently runs 3 fuel tanks (one either side at the front plus the station wagon tank on the rear) a 50lt water tank and dual batteries. Was my daily driver and sole vehicle for many years.
