You can add a cross over pipe to help with back pressure , or some sort of muffler/ resonator of some sort. Also turn downs dumps instead of exiting tips help the sound.
@@AllSoWavyReese I haven’t heard it on on a Silverado , but my buddy has a 99 32 valve cobra with the H pipe set up straight pipe no cats and it sounded damn good , nice , deep and some what raspy, sounded like it belonged on a race track lol. Sound Will slightly differ since different engines have opposite Cams etc.
You should look into electric exhaust cut outs I had them on my NBS 5.3 with a dynomax mini race bullet muffler and it sounded so damn good it wouldn’t clap like your ordinary straight pipe set up, it sounded refined and deep and idle some what sounded like it had a baby cam, everyone liked my set up. I ran stock manifolds , no cats stock y pipe single 3 inch cut out to single dynomax mini race bullet out the side before rear passenger wheel to dual 5 inch tips.
Sounds great man I cut my cats and muffler with a y pipe and it sounds sick.
Is this truck a single cab long bed
Did cutting your cats out turn the check engine light on?
Yes, but I believe there is a way to put it on a code reader and delete it.
How much quieter would it be with cats opposed to no cats
A decent amount quieter not as obnoxious
