I want the same sound on my 2014 Chevy, so I cut the muffler and resonator and I’m going to cut off the all 3 cats this week, not sure if I’ll get the same results.
@@adamjones8175 right now I have a super 10, no resanator and 3rd cat and the 2 main cats. If I cut all 3 cats off will it make it ALOT louder? Because that’s the goal
Maybe if you reduce the piping down to like a 2 inch from stock it'll push out the sound faster so it's gunna bounce within the walls of the pipe. I have about 5 feet of 3 in and it sounded good but I also have dual exhausts from the manifold. So I gutted 2 cats and for now the pipes are open until I weld it back to the outlet

Idk if it’s because you’re running true dual straights and I’m not but right now I have a straight pipe on a 2014 Silverado 5.3 single pipe that splits to a dual where the muffler used to be with 2 1/4 pipe where the cats and muffler was. Right now it claps from the 2000-2500 rpm range then has almost no sound at all between 2500-3000 then will clap again from 3000 to 3500 then doesn’t clap at all again any higher than that. I want to be able to get the clap sound like yours around the 1500-2000 rpm range. Do you know what I could or should do?
Some like it some don't. Doesn't matter though if you don't like it. Just matters that the person who did it does. Can always tune it to get the sound better if the person doesn't like it

for some reason my 5.3 explodes on cold start. yours just cough and it's done. but yea that is brutal at acceleration great job.
I had my cold start turned down

You’ll have to get true duals to get the sound you’re looking for. with it being single up to where it duals out is holding it back.

@@damonrobinson4281 nah I just have the O2 sensors turned off so it doesn’t have a check engine light on. The tune has nothing to do with the sound

tell them you want true dual straights with no cats, 2 inch pipe where the cats were and then 2.5 inch pipe the rest of the way. With 6 inch tips
