How to add watermarks: Account settings > Protect Your Work (under Artist Tools)
- Although registration numbers can give you extra peace of mind, they are NOT needed. Your art is copyrighted the second it's created, and you have every right to report stolen work on any website. Most sites have an easy enough way to do that.
- Copyrighted/trademarked terms should be left out of tags in general. "Zoom University" is an example of a trend, but it is copyrighted/trademarked and Redbubble artists should refrain from that content or mentioning it in tags. Sorry about any confusion!

mynameisliana how do you come up with your ideas because sometimes I have like nothing at all to put on merch
karl kariuki I tend to make designs that teen girls would like. Flowers, food, sneakers, outer space graphics... I get inspired by things around me as cliche as it sounds. Maybe think about activities you enjoy? Ex- sports, videos games. (basketball, generic video game controller)
I started red bubble 5 days ago, and I've already made 10 bucks, not a bad start right?😂

Edit 2: to everyone saying they haven't made any sales, it takes time, just keep uploading new artwork everyday and be patient 😁

A tip I learned is it helps to have atleast 25 designs so your work is scattered across redbubble depending on the tags they have and you have a higher chance of being seen

I started my redbubble shop yesterday and I have put 3 designs up so far. I’m kinda worried that nothing is ever going to sell because I have read comments of people that work hard for months and never get anything. I’m going to keep posting and hope for the best.

New Subscriber who just opened my Redbubble and loving it DESPITE not having made à sale yet. I'm selling my own art, so kind of proud of that. Hehe
I do think Redbubble should give creators a simple 1 week boost. That seems logical to help them get started and provide some extra motivation. We artists are sensitive créatures, so à wee self-esteem boost from à couple resulting initial sales wouldn't hurt either.

I mean, if you use the tags the generator shows, do you actually get traffic for that design (organic/Redbubble) ??
tZuc Wizard Thank you. I have used the generator to get tag ideas, but I can’t say it was a make or break when it comes to sales. It’s just a way to get tag ideas and possibly get more eyes on your work.

Thank you ! (very rare.lol) Watermarks, yes!! Before I did that I had art stolen from RB and put on Amazon. And had art stolen from elsewhere and put on Ebay on a tee shirt, and in some store in Cali on a tee shirt. Which, ok. Flattering, I guess? But I learned my watermark lesson!
Anna M. Same! 😂 My issue was that Redbubble had some problem where it wasn’t showing up even with it enabled. Luckily it works now. It’s a life saver.

I have a question: where do you draw/make your designs? On what app? I’ve seen people using Photoshop, but I have to pay for that. What else can I use?
Smaranda M I use Adobe Creative Suite, but there are other free options like Procreate. I don’t know much about it or the other options. I’d suggest searching various options!

Hi, great video :) I just started on Redbubble. I read different things about tags. Is it okay to use tags of the types of products you're selling- like shirt, coasters, mask, etc.? Or do the tags just have to describe the art?
D Watanabe Thank you so much! I think Redbubble has stated that it isn’t worth using those tags, as the products will show up without specifying merch type in tags. You could try Googling to be sure, but I think it’s best to focus on just relevant subjects related to the art! 😊

Akhil Holden Content is removed if the brand has an issue with it, and law suits don’t happen unless there is a large issue. Tiktok content is accepted as of now, but they will let us know if that changes.
It is only an issue if the company does something about it, and because it is so large that is unlikely.
