Yes, I actually deleted WhatsApp once but other people only use WhatsApp so I had to reinstall it. But now I only use it for texting a handful of people like parents and close friends. Many people are now on telegram. Gen Y and Gen Z will have no problems but Gen X will struggle a bit.

BJP can label anyone a terrorist and ask whatsapp for their chats, for this currently they have to give substantial proof, but if encryption is gone, then they won't even need proof,, just an laptop with api.

That's interesting. Given that it is a part of Meta whose FB has already broken encryption and reads DMs. Speaking from experience. A friend and I got ads and posts based on something we'd only talked on DM about and nowhere else minutes after the chat.

Relying on invasion of private conversations is an extremely lazy response by regulators pf the law to make their own jobs easier. They simply wont take the effort to investigate deeper. Nobody can be forced to reveal private conversations. Bending those rules will simply invite greater and greater invasions by authorities on the flimsiest of pretexts.
