  • My 11 year old front load washing machine quit on me in the middle of its wash cycle. I tried resetting the computer but it did not work. My only options were to call an expensive repair man or go buy a new washer/ dryer set. But then my light went off and I decided to tackle the job all on my own. I'm sure glad I did because it only took a fraction of the cost and a little bit of time. I hope the video helps you out and thanks for watching.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Our machine wouldn't turn on and I did what you said by unplugging the washer and holding each button down 5 seconds and plugging it back in.
Praise God it worked. You saved the day!

You make it seem so easy unhooking these wires is nearly impossible.

Great job on the video! I followed the instructions exactly and was able to fix my friend's washer. She's back in business and we saved alot of money. So many inciteful individuals on youtube. I love it!

First off - great video! - just finished reinstall and am doing my first run. Next - dude you must have gorilla grip fingers! I ended up carefully using a pair of small channel locks. I found a slight wiggle, side to side as you pull sees to helps. Another thing that helped me get the controller to a "easier" working position was to squeeze and push in the blue plug from the back of the machine - it will let you pull the wires out of the way a bit. Again great job and thank you for postiing!

Wish i had watched your video first. The harness pissed me off so bad i had to step away because i found myself daydreaming of cutting off all the wires to pull out the motherboad box.😂

Before you replace the Power Control Board watch the other videos on you tube about fixing LG front load washer, that will not turn on, very cheap? Probably the PCB is a very expensive part! There is a capacitor in the PCB that can be bought for $5-10 bucks! 1 video has link to buy part! Part needs to be Soldered in, if you can not then call a friend! lol The diagnostic test that all those videos showed was leave washer plugged in open door spin the drum and if the lights on display light up briefly, and it chimes, as drum spins, then this inexpensive fix works! Other than this guy did not know about this additional test and money saver trick, this is good video! SAVE CASH GOOD LUCK!

Where are you guys ordering the motherboards from? I have the same power issue. Sounds like an LG recall that needed to happen but didn't.

Is it possible to repair the broken piece of i.c. in a motherboard?

I am sure it is possible. But this was much easier for me to do. My wife was needing to do laundry and this was the quickest fix. Thanks for watching.

@@jjayno2003 So, I bought mine used also and it is still going strong, I may have to asssume that the new (used) one may have gone bad, just some bad luck I would assume.

Did you test the noise filter? That's another common problem. Power goes through that first.
