    You should be able to, you'll have to get a new throttle body, and make a custom intake. The CJ manifold uses an oval throttle body where the boss/stock uses the round throttle body.

    Need to do an updated video of the 2015-2017 as they're the ones with the IM's always breaking and you can't buy replacements so we're having to put these Boss or GT manifolds on. There's really not a lot of great tutorials out there.

    Ok guys. All dynos are calibrated differently. There not made to be compared against other dynos There made to measure a gain on one vehicle on 1 dyno.

    Just bought the boss 302 power pack for my 2012 Jaguar XJL 5.0.. lol so far, so good, installation is exactly the same... airbox is a little weird but were making progress.

    I found a MPT dyne chart that showed a 93 octane tune making 335hp and 341ft-lbs without a boss intake manifold

      Yeah my 2011 5.0 on 93 with true duals k&n filter put out around 335 and 340ish tq. But I had it done in 2019 this video is 8yrs old maybe better or technology with programming🤔

    What happens to the purge valve? Do you just leave it disconnected or is there a way to relocate it?

      Yea, so many unanswered questions. Purge, back booster, etc. I know it has ports for vaccum but the only other video was a newer truck. And they used the FMS mustang install kit....which they didn't even need to use half of it. That's a $200 kit too.

    will this increase throttle response I have the afe intake and roush exhaust but I lost a lot of back pressure from the roush exhaust

    I'm a little bit confused. Dyno says only 297hp after install. My 13' 5.0 has 360hp stock. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is this a mistake with the dyno readings?

      You are correct, the motor comes from the factory with 360hp; the final number is Brake Horsepower. You have about a 20 percent loss of power through the drive line. It's the power to the wheels that counts ;-)

      +Ryan S thats the motor alone before it is installed in the truck. Dyno numbers like this are whp. not just hp. aka what actually is being produced at the wheel. Very different numbers.

    Question about a current build, 2011 f150 5.0 xl 4x4. Got a gen matching boss intake manifold at a local swap meet. Appears to be off a mustang. Am aware it will fit. Though am getting conflicting information as to installation involving different components. Egr and vaccume fittings requiring modification. Any information available would be greatly appreciated.

      Ford Labor SLTS time pays 0.5 Hrs to replace the intake on a boss 302 and 0.6 Hrs on a F-150

      @@Rimel1987 ford slts time is warranty time not cash time. Cash time is 1.5 hrs times warranty time. No dealership will ever charge a customer warranty time for a cp job.

      They got it from an old washing machine along with the hose clamps.

      You do not. The stock internals of the 5.0L trucks can handle the addition of the Boss intake manifold no problem

      roush intake tube wont reach, you can buy the intake manifold kit which comes with an AFE intake to work with this. But if you buy the AFE intake to fit the stock intake manifold you well once again be short after you install the 302 boss intake manifold

    The two hose clamps used to attach the hose barb nipple are WAY TO BIG! The entire coolant line extension utilizing oversized hose clamps and hose barb nipple is pretty ghetto. Wouldn't it have been easier and cleaner to just install a new hose run???

      @@adriang7221 they sell clamps that you pinch on both sides to create the seal. Id highly recommend that style clamp over these.

    You actually lose a little low end torque and the hp difference only comes on after 5K rpm....not that impressed with the output frankly

    U lose h.p. in a good portion of the rpm range... I'm sure some of that is the "hot air intake" but still for over 500 bucks including the manifold, intake, and tuner... If I did this to my truck i wouldn't even post it

    you have to bend the fire wall to fit the manifold, and use garbage clamps to put the garbage truck back together..

      This remind me of a friend who bought $1200 tripple weber carbs for his 72 240z. He had read that his 145cuin 150hp inline 6 would make 245hp @ 7000rpm. He end up selling those carbs for $600.

    Step 1. Pull fuel pump fuse and purge fuel lines.
    Step 2. Unhook battery.
    Relocate MAP sensor by drilling hole in back of manifold and attack into hole
    Relocate purge valve.
    Your video is missing very important info.

      Jonathan Manning you can keep you warranty if you have a programmer don't altor the old parts keep the old intake and manifold cus if any thing happens put the old intak hoses ect... back on and remove the programmer all it will show is some one did a scan on it I worked at chev and ford and I drive a 11 5.0l ferd with afe intake and roush exhaust but not a boss manifold but interested in hearing more about results on throttle response

    This is funny as hell. Big gains n hp and torque from just an intake change. Yes I heard them say they put a CAI to but I'm still choking on the Boss intake. Why don't they put on the Tornado fuel saver, that should be good for another 3.5hp.

    This has to be the dumbest thing I have seen. Why buy a $700 intake? Then to boot its a hack job anyway, cut lines... hammer firewall... if you are thinking of doing this stop. The displacement and volumetric efficiency is changed very little. 40 HP? Nice job using a tuner to lean the engine out... I want to see LTFT data pids during your Dyno. Hack job.
