Great video. I've always been impressed with helicopters. Yrs. ago at the Vacaville nut tree they were giving rides. We were the only ones that did. It was so fun.
When I was 12, I got to fly with the TV stars of the TV show "Whirlybirds" the pilots were Ed Fuderich, Bob Gilbreath, and Harry Hauss of National Helicopter Service, Inc. My mother, sister and I went to buy groceries. They had a drawing for Helicopter rides. The helicopter was parked in the cleared parking lot. My sister was picked, but she was afraid, so my mother volunteered me. Best day ever. Again, great job to both of you. PS I live in Napa, CA. Thanks
The old Nut Tree! We used to always stop there on the way to San Francisco when I was young. Used to ride the train when I was little and look at the airplane models in the shop. Great memories of things gone by. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

Great autos,good power management,flares etc , i noticed right away when cfi took controls she didnt readjust ,kept hand up high. She must be so used to that position its second nature, im sure if u asked her to fly from right seat it would feel weird to her . Flying great enjoy
Thanks. You may be the same in a little while! You'll probably have to hold the cyclic up while in the left seat, and hold it down when in the right seat, lol.

I'll still be going to HWD and WVI. Just want to get some more experience flying at another airport/area. But it's actually very nice flying in the helicopter pattern at STS and just reporting on the go versus requesting closed traffic each time.

@@lookingforwookiecopilot I have not flown solo since getting my rating. Mainly because I haven’t been flying enough, but also when I have been able to fly, I want to practice autos which are not allowed without a CFI when renting. I know it may sound strange to you, but it wasn’t my goal to get a pilot license to go fly somewhere. I’m completely happy to fly in the pattern or even just hover, and I like flying with a CFI. But maybe if I fly more often, I’ll try to go for a spin by myself, at least around the pattern. Almost did that yesterday because my CFI had to reschedule my reservation.
@@rotarywing Yeah, that is a bit hard to understand. If you like autos so much, maybe try hang gliding?
