Thank you for watching. Don't forget to like the video, subscribe to my channel and support your local racetrack!! :)
In todays racing world alot of guys are going with vinal graphics. Nice to see that the old and most beautiful work is still being done by the few remaining racing artist.
We had all our cars hand lettered I loved watching the guy it was nothing for him to do something that I couldn’t imagine doing. An some of the colors an designs at first your like what is he doing but they end up beautiful
That car is a true work of art. The hand lettering sends it off the chart.
I see the old school scales under the tires too!!! Great touch.
I've lost track of how many times I've watched this. Dennis is awesome, he's been lettering my man Eddie Marshall's cars for over 30 years! Thanks for sharing Mandee!
That’s awesome!! He does incredible work that’s for sure
Been at it 38 years. Miss doing it. Vinyl took over. A lost art!
There is a Fella up in Owl's Head NY, I think, that does by hand, Gold Leaf! he has came to our firehouse and done 3 of our trucks in Westville. All these hand done jobs, are such a lost art. Amazing to watch.
Very nice work Dennis👍
Truely beautiful!
I loved that video! Amazing talent. I love the old school way of doing things.
No race car looks better then a hand letterd car back in the day when my dad raced it was awesome to see someone do it, just makes it look better then the stickers to me
Beautiful, I also knew a man that lettered my Dad's stock car & my Go kart back in the 1980's, Body wraps are cool, but I prefer this method shown in your video. Very nice work!👍 Thanks for posting this video 😁
Wow,,,thats amazing he does that all by hand....wow...i always thought they were decals
Remember doing cars with Chip Gross from GrossGraphics....Dennis was our favorite!!!! One of the very best! We use to do 140 cars a year! All paint all by hand!
Awesome to see Mandee a master of a dying art.
Love old school lettering, my late cousin was master of the craft here in the Ohio Valley.
Absolutely amazing, thank you for sharing this Mandee. So nice to see.
You’re very welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Hard to believe a human being can have such hand-eye coordination. Speechless. 👍
It’s pretty incredible that’s for sure!
Very cool and really looks nice ...
what a master of a dying art.. thanks for showing this..
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching
@@dirttrackuntold I Could WATCH This Guy ALL FUCKING Day - Now That's Magic..!
Did this for 51 years, still wish I could.
What great skills shown , thanks for sharing mandee
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it
If I had a race car I would want it hand painted. Give it alot more character than a wrap.
Used to watch a guy fo that to our latemodel in the early 90s. It's truly art work.
That was stunning ☺
Awesome! Dennis is so talented it makes your face hurt! Thanks Mandee!
He sure is! Thanks for watching :)
👍👍👍👍👍very nice 👍👍👍thank for sharing 👍👍👍👍great artwork
Outstanding i see Pops still uses the old school grain scales to set the car up brings back awesome memories of watching Custom Bob Neimetz hand letter Ray Zemkens race car up here in The mohawk valley upstate NY and Rays car is also #1Z
Fantastic! a true artist.
Thanks for sharing a fast-fading skill in this era of decals ! That's a talented gentlemen on the brush TBS !! IMO paint always has more visual "pop" than decals .
I agree. Thanks for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed it!!
Amazing
Awesome to see some of us letterman still around, last race car I did was a street stock, I custom painted it and did all the lettering. The track closed a few yrs ago but she still has the car. Thanks for showing the video and thanks!,, H T
What kind of paint do you use?
that's awesome!
That is amazing.
Dad's old school, see he still has the grain scales too 👍
Nice to the old school way
Dennis Used to Do the Ferraiuolo's 73's back when I was on the team in the 70's he's been at it a long time. in other news you still use grain scales
Haha yes, yes we do. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
Damn you have to have EXTREME patience to do that... I can't even read my own handwriting because I write in a hurry. I'd never be able to do that.
Miss doing this with Speedy Steve Loose Steve died last year.
Badass
How long did it take and how much did it cost
The prices vary and it took a good day and a half to complete it
A dying art
Anyone remember Dave / Delco signs ?
I use 1 Shot
I'd like this more if he had a 17 year old assistant learning the craft.
I can't even write my name legibly.
Thanks for watching..
why not just use vinyl graphics? im sure its way cheaper.
It’s actually less expensive than getting vinyl and also weighs less
You can touch up paint where tire marks are on body, with a vinyl wrap it just disenegrates or looks like shit.
Paintwork holds a way better gloss shine, Wraps are overpriced pieces of thin plastic.
Hand lettering is far more unique because the people doing it are artists in every sense of the word. Not to say that vinyl shops aren't - there are many who are great designers & do original work, but a lot of wraps shops use stock graphics & numbers which is why you see a lot of cars looking the same, style wise. You could learn how to install a wrap and use clip art in a couple of months - grab a can of One-Shot and a lettering quill and practice gothic, casual & script daily for about 10 years...
I need this brush
