Oh my God! Jen. That is fantastic. What I love with your videos is that I can see your brush technique and skills so clearly. Thank you for taking the time to make these and explaining why you are doing what you’re doing. What was that Mack rubber tool? I’ll have to see if I can get one here in the UK.
Looking forward to the next video.
hey thank you so much! that tool is called the wipe out tool i have a link in the description. but also since you are in the uk and i dont know if they are over there yet. look into rubber tip style cuticle pushers and also if you have a art store that has clay tools take a browse around and find some with a rubber ends that come to a point tip and also a angle tip.
@@HotRodJenPinstriping thank you for that.
Jackson’s art supplies sell them here in the UK and are on offer at £6 at the moment. I’ve just ordered one.
@@mykeready3742 awesome!! its a great tool to have
Calling out the brushes is cool fr… your videos have helped me more than anyone else on CZcams for real. Thank you for doin it like you do!
I discovered the double-coat method by pure accident. Was painting white letters on a red door and noticed some transparent spots in the brush strokes. Had a little bit of trial and error but finally laid down the second coat at just the right time. Never knew it had an actual name. Great videos, Jen and awesome work as always.
I can’t believe I’ve sat here and binge watched your videos ha. I used to letter signs and doors etc. Lead paint was what I used but this was in the 90’s but then it got to where even commercial sign painters couldn’t buy it anymore. And yes I Always had some good music on when I was in my groove. You have awesome technique
thank you!!!
I'm totally blown away. If I did that, it would look like a fever curve.
I am learning how to letter to put logos on my old trucks. I am a left hander also and it is great to watch your videos. I also am glad that you talk about the brushes that you use in your work.
EXCELLENT JEN !!!
Like I said before Jen you are very good at what you do ! Your so amazing on how talented you are! Mike watching from Cleveland Ohio!
It is completely awe inspiring to watch your work
I love to watch talented people work
Beautiful work. This video is also full of information. Thanks for sharing your work. 😀👍🏻
These videos are awesome Jen! Wish I knew about your CZcams channel sooner!
I really enjoyed this, just loved it. I may never be able to do anything like it, but it was really nice to see. Thank you! :)
wow ... that drop shadow is impressive ... looks great!
Nice ma'am I really appreciate it 💕
That’s so dope! A true artist!
U r grate artist
That is sharp!
Wow looks awesome! What a skill
Doors look awesome Jen, great job as always.
Thanks so much! 😊
you make it look easy : )
Parabéns!!!!! Seu trabalho é perfeito!!!!
so nice! thanks
OMG!!! i cant count how many times i had to learn surface and Air temperature is so important, nothing sucks as bad as your entire work "orange peels" lol
Nice work!! I was wondering how you keep the gold leaf from sticking where it doesn't belong...thanks!
Nice job! I recently had a frustrating problem of needing to letter a truck in some very humid conditions and it started to dry with a haze even though I had my infrared dryer pointing at it and a fan, too. I postponed the rest of the job till this weekend when it's supposed to be dryer weather. I was not using hardener, but not sure if that would have prevented it. I have run into problems doing the 'Chicago 2-coat'. I might have waited for too many letters before going back to start re-coating, I don't recall. (Ironically, I live just outside of Chicago.)
Amazing
I think I did alligator once with clear coat from spray bomb
If I needed a sign, I would want you to paint it!!!
JIM ♥
Wow!
Thanks again for sharing. To add to your comments on books, the EC Williams sign painting course is, I guess, public domain now and pretty easy to find online. It's ancient but as a beginner I found it quite helpful.
Is very Nace❤
What a great video. Does lettering like this need to be clearcoated over top of the design or will the enamel last outdoors just fine on its own?
Love it. Can you tell me who and what the music you listen to.
Hi. Jen for starting a first time kit. What all should I get 🤔 for supplies
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Steady
Someone told me that you can't paint on vehicles cause it has to be airbrushed cause they said it would leave ugly streaks with the paintbrush . I think that person is wrong . Does it have to do with what paint you use and what you put in it ?
they were wrong in the "can't" department. Painting on all types of "transportation" by a paint brush before the invention of a airbrush has been a thing. Some people still prefer graphics to be painted by a paint brush that yes will leave brush marks when it's over clear.. Some others like their graphics done by an airbrush. Depending on what the job is/customer is after one might be more suitable than the other.
Back for more! 🖌
Hello Jen. What size was the Devey Mack 32 Quill that you were painting with in this video?
I’m a lefty. Ever try a rest stick?
I find the 189's very light. What's your opinion Jen?
i totally love them i find them softer than Kolinsky sable which i really do not prefer to use when working on vehicles.
What kind of finish do you use
Do you charge by the hour or job?
Freestyle.. mind you pls?
