I have always thought that he has handled the pressure very well, all in all, over the years, and taken some huge chances along the way, and really held the line well, in order to take the UFC to where it is today.
Seems much of his colourful and highly eventful life served to prepare him well for this role.
I have always appreciated the real characters in this life, and I believe that Dana White certainly stands amongst them, to be sure.
I have remained a fan of the UFC since it's earliest days, and followed Vale Tudo before that, also.
Dana well deserves the success and fame which he has achieved, as the huge risks and chances that he took came off for him along the way largely through sheer determination, will, and his belief in and absolute love for MMA, the greatest sport on earth.

I know you have appreciation for Dana, I however don't. During the early 2000's to about 2011 the UFC was very good. Well managed etc etc. Sadly Dana's money machine is more important than being honest sportsmen. Most fighters are on the juice and theres been speculation of fight fixes, poor judging and reinstating fighters who continually fail drug tests and have criminal issues as well.
