Put a black and white filter on this video and it could easily look like it was taken from a 1940's talk show. The clothes, the way they talk, everything
I like that.
Yeah, the TV, everything
YES
@@methane_melvin suspension of disbelief, Winston.
Well, maybe the part about ecstasy would have been confusing to a 1940’s audience.....
Kinda love how he emphasizes that he co-wrote stefon with Bill Hader, it’s nice that he doesn’t take all the credit
They're just good friends! Bill Hader does the same thing when talking about anything he acts in or directs
All, keep our family in prayer. I lost my youngest half sister to gun violence. There will be no video today or Saturday. Sunday's video is prerecorded. I will be back on Tuesday and will share the details then. I'm ok; It's been tough, but I'm trying to keep busy as I deal with the loss. Thank you to all that reached out with concerns.
♥️Blove
You know you've been watching too much Mulaney stuff when you know the answers to Larry King's questions lol
Yeah lol and all the jokes
Not particluarly good well researched questions...
No disrespect to Larry King who is great
The way Larry king laughs after John says "I'm positive I'm going to be assassinated" is so genuine that jimmy Fallon needs to take a lesson
😂😂😂😂
Right? Fallon is a hack
john mulaney causually telling larry king he should take ecstasy is something i never knew i needed in my life, but now that it's here i am fulfilled
When?

And this is why certain drugs must be legalized and regulated for adult use.
Because now Larry will _never_ benefit from that experience.
One day we _will_ wise up and have sane drug policy.
But before that happens....many people will die without ever having one of the most interesting and illuminating experiences a human can have in life. And that, when you really let it sink in, is deeply tragic.
I love how every comedian HATES when people say "Hey, tell me a joke" but Larry King somehow gets away with doing it anyway.
cz he's Larry King😁😁it feels different and awesome if he asked something like that😎😎
Larry could be so blunt and brash. I never saw him in younger days, but old men can get away with that more
Just two men in their twilight years reminiscing on the good ol days
He's so absolutely delighted by John and that just makes my night.
Everybody's absolutely delighted by John. Well, except maybe Bittenbinder.
maybe he liked his old school energy
"I'm the dean"
"What?"
"I'm the dean, I'm the head man at the Friar's Club..."
"You are?!"
"Yes...."
"What are your responsibilities?"
"Nothing..."
"Just make sure the food is boiled"
Best. Ever.
"Every single day its boiled goose."
goose."

I love John's wife. I've never met her or know anything about her, I just like she keeps him humble and what she says to him.
I love hearing the things she tells him: it’s clear she keeps him balanced with a healthy self-esteem, so he doesn’t let people walk all over him, and yet keeps his ego in check, so he doesn’t get too grandiose and loses his charm. She sounds perfect for him 😍
Oof.
@@HopeUnquenchable lol
I have bad news
Pity he doesn't
He looks younger but feels older because he’s immortal
because he's a *Tiger Mom!*
Also that yes
Larry or John?
Ryan Austin Dean John but you know what also Larry
He's dead now!
It's cute how deligted Larry King is by this young man who wants to talk about suspenders and old things.
a walrus?
yeah I'd ask "why the mustache"?
gotta love Mulaney.
At 19:00 I nearly spit out my coffee. Larry low key insults his dog's breed and Mulaney's response is "What?!" 😁
If you don't know whether you want to fall asleep or stay awake, this one's for you.
Michelle Nguyen right now I find myself in this exact situation and decided to play this video
I'm laughing so hard, because this is me right now.
woahhh bless
wow.
Me rn :)
lol Mulaney earned Larry's respect by the end. so cute
Very cute😍😍 its not easy though...We can tell when Larry likes someone..last interview i saw when Larry liked someone was Pete Holmes..😊😊
John Mulaney is smart, hilarious and oddly charismatic. I never understood how that sitcom could be so bad with so much talent behind it.
"oddly"? Why
This is the first time I have made it through a Larry King interview...I normally find them a little awkward, but this was lovely. He just so clearly respects John and the entire interview just likes him more and more by the minute. Really love this.
Saame
I've never seen Larry laugh and smile so much in this decade
The old Larry is back. Maybe it’s to do with this new format?
I think it's cause John is charismatic and a great conversationalist
John seems to be mimicking Larry's energy in the interview. Very calm and well spoken
"Did you ever take ecstasy? It's really great, you've got to try it." Coming up next on Larry King Now...
When
Larry enjoys John's company so much because they're the same age, mentally. That's why the Eric Andre interview was a disaster, cause he acts like he's three
Disaster?! That was the greatest interview ever. Larry and Eric need their own show
I get people are into absurd humor and to each their own, I just find Eric Andre to be so unpleasant to watch. I get that’s part of the point, but it was refreshing to see a comment that doesn’t act like he’s some comedy god for absurd shock humor. This interview was fantastic!
@@frostyskeletons8950 Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely an Eric Andre fan, it's just that the interview was uncomfortable. Larry couldn't take the heat!
nah I watched that interview before this one and Eric and Larry have great chemistry
I love how John never backed down on his stern look, looked at Larry right in the eyes
larry king is actually pretty funny in this interview
Larry King now always seems like he's just waiting for interviews to end so that he can go to the deli counter and pick up some soup. I kind of love it.
Who's this Asian American woman Larry King is interviewing?
Not sure. But she has a very feminine hips.
😂🤣😂🤣 you guys are great
That's a proud tiger mom you're talking about!!!
Who's to say?
@@CG-cw3ps - Truth.
This interview highlights exactly how intelligent John is.
27:32 most underrated part of the interview
Lol same here
I never wanted that handshake to end.
Yes , that moment they had almost brought me to tears
30:00 you can literally see the moment on John's face where he had to really stop and think *"how many black fans do I have, really?"*
22:33 is so precious... "yeah, that's a good question! Why do they have mustaches?"
God, I love John Mulaney.
I love how John was mirroring Larry's body language
John deserves a star in his crown for how well he navigated Larry King. That old coot is insulting at best and John treated him with the respect you would give your Grandpa even when Grandpa was insulting you. Kudos to John
In Celebrity news today: Comedian and known non-blinker, John Mulaney was hospitalized for sudden blindness. Sources explained that a witness stated "his eyes spontaneously shriveled and fell out of his head, both at once." We wish Mr. Mulaney a speedy recovery.
The gold nuggets of dialogue spread through this whole segment was great but that wrap up has to be my favorite part lmao
10:58 Takes a lot of people to make a handful of people look good. Good for him.
Gotta work "Mr. Poopstache, do some research" into daily conversations.
i love the dynamic between them. they really feed off each other's energy really well
That ending 🤣
23:07 I so remember feeling disappointment when I got old enough to realize that grown-ups weren't smart, they just faked it better.
this dude belongs in the 1950's... his references are even old.. saying he looks like lee harvey oswald... talks like an old fashioned human
He is from the 50s
Tom DeLaCruz ...or an old one?
He’s trying to connect with his interviewer. Larry King knows who Lee Harvey Oswald.
Monna pretty sure every American knows who Lee Harvey Oswald is.
Yeah, Lee Harvey Oswald is sort of hole punched into the minds of every American.
I’ve heard that John is always the smartest person in the room. What he does tales brains. He’s at the top of his game because he is smart. Georgetown University smart.
"...of the intellectual side of the family, you're on the low rung."
John Mulaney's epitaph
At 28:26 I expected Saoirse Ronan to pop up and explain for the 50th time how to pronounce her name lmao
"Do you think he did it?"
"LOL."
John mulaney wears a suit as a break from his normal life, seth Meyers takes it off as a break from his normal life.
Loving John Mulaney more and more with each interview.
Watching these 2 navigate the space between them was beautiful and fascinating. Loved this!
it's kind of creepy that john mulaney's face never changes, just his mouth
I love him.
1:44 is exactly how I feel whenever one of my friends start literally any sentence about any of my accomplishments or talents
I've never seen Larry smile and laugh so much. They're like kindred spirits, daww
The diner sketch is one of my favorite. I cry laughing everytime i watch it.
If you just look at John Mulaney, he'd make a great James Bond. I think he could act that part too.
Lol no
John in the beginning listening to Larry talk about him is like a kid listening to their parents lie to their adult friends about grades.
I love the way John talks
Love John Mulaney! What a great interview.
This is the first time I have ever watched a Larry King interview. I wouldn't have known he exists except he's been in a few movies I have seen.
Windy Hawthorn, I've been listening to Larry King for 40 years.
He's a true broadcasting icon.

Larry called him the on the “lower rung” while he’s the richest in his family and has an Emmy award. Success is subjective
two emmys!
Exactly! Two ✌🏽
Oh my gosh they timed the ads! yesssssss
I've always wanted to be an actress, and John Mulaney truly helped me realize that, and now I'm signing up for auditions near me and I want to go to Georgetown University. I feel like I can actually make it all bc of John.
Lol
Best one of these yet.
I keep rewinding to uear Larry say, "mr. Poopstasche"
bro he has amazing natural rotation muscles. Friggin jealous
This was the best thing I've seen this month😍I loved it I need more😂
Anybody else notice that John barely blinks? Lol
John is in good company in my world.
Doug Stanhope, Norm MacDonald and John. These are the men that make me happy. I also find Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury to be so freaking funny.
28:24 Great Straight man, maybe
. Great Groucho impersonator, yes...Great Actor? Hold please, we've got Alan Alda on the line...
I am in love with him
John never blinks, does he?
John is absolutely wonderful 😻 The end of this interview was moving, with John reaching out his hand and wishing Larry health. Larry we miss you ❤️
You are missed Larry! Rest in Peace ~
I got excited until I realized this is just the full interview of clips already uploaded months ago 😢
wow! that was awesome, thanks!
This is lovely.
The beauty about Stefon is Bill Hader right?! :P
so...is john trying to steal larry kings job
It’s odd that nick kroll doesn’t like magic because they trick you, they lie. Isn’t that what broadway and other actors are doing all the time?
rip larry king
25:06 Milady
LOVE JOHN MULANEY !!!! FUNNY, FUNNY !!!!
Love this ❤
At 28:24 King sort of misquotes the tweet and you can tell that John actually takes the compliment but is annoyed because he feels insulted
Amazing
That was great.
For sure!!! John Mulany would be awesome in suspenders ... The King of Cool! 💯👍💕
Two classy guys
He would also do a good impression of the agent from matrix
thought i saw this already
JESUS MULANEY!!!! BLINK WHY DONTCHA!
John!
I love "Lobster Diner"!
Knowing what we know now about JM, he looks so wasted in this video. Dilated pupils, slurred speech, guzzling the coffee (or whatever ws in the mug) as a distraction.... Thank goodness he is now recovering and so much healthier and happier.
i think this is a lot of projection. He had been sober since 2005 before he started using drugs again in 2020. He was still sober in this video and he’s sober again now
did anyone else get sent into another dimension from the mr. poopstache part
New nickname: ONE-TAKE LARRY.
How is he able to keep a straight face
john mulaney including his bits in
John remembered the hair cutter at SNL.
