    great tutorial and tips, thank you!! Can you please talk about the Rug carving part when tufting with the loop pile machine? This step seems to be only necessary when using the cut pile?

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey David, The Carving machine is really to carve 3d elements into your cut pile rug. If you use it on the loop pile rug you are going to cut open sone of the loops and some not. That can be interesting from a texture point of view, but shortening the loop pile is not possible after tufting, since you will be just cutting the loop open at one point.

    Blowing my mind that you can just hang your gun on the fabric like that… 😳

    • @Tuftinglove

      This seems to be a hidden secret, many people don't know. But i find it the savest way to park the machine during the process :)

      @@Tuftinglove hello and thanks for the brilliant video. I also noticed that - do these guns have a hook that allows you to hang them on the fabric? Thank you!

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  Před 2 lety +2

      @@elenipapavasileiou5038 Yes they do :) in the front on the right side, just on the scissors closing mechanism :)
      Not all the replicas of the original AK-I and AK-II do have it tho.

    • @elenipapavasileiou5038
      @elenipapavasileiou5038 Před 2 lety

      @@Tuftinglove oooh interesting! Also interesting to know about other versions of these guns. I guess a legitimate seller would sell the version with the hook? Thank you again, love your videos👍

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  Před 2 lety +1

      @@elenipapavasileiou5038 yes, the ones without the hooks are usually cheap replicas that we get a lot of questions/ cries for help for. Seems the quality there is very inconsistent. That's why we only sell machines from the original manufacturer, even if they might be a tiny bit more expensive, but they're reliable :)

    Do the nails that grip the primary fabric have to be in a angle? Or can it be 90° ?

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  Před 3 měsíci

      It can also be 90‘ the angle just helps you while stretching because the tuftingcloth slips over it. This makes it easier to stretch. it will still work with 90‘ nails tho.

    Hi! What are the dimensions of the frame that you use?

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  Před rokem +1

      The Dimensions are defined by the rug you wnat to tuft. This one is for rugs the sice of 50 x 70cm and is about 70cm in height and 100cm wide in total. In our experience that's the maximum size of tabletop frames that work without any extra structural support in depth.

    Очень нужны русские титры!
    Начинаю заниматься тафтингом, все, что понятно по жестам, артикуляции и манипуляции - понимаю, но есть множество нюансов, русскому человеку, без знания языка непонятны, недоступны, но важны!

      Привет, мы не говорим по-русски, но CZcams предоставляет автогенерируемые субтитры для всех языков, как только вы выбрали английские субтитры, вы можете зайти снова и выбрать русские через автогенерируемые субтитры. Надеюсь, это вам поможет.
      Я надеюсь, что этот перевод имеет смысл, я сделал его с помощью deepl.com, поэтому я не знаю, правильный ли он.
