    Did you know that the phrase “Why I Left eXp Realty” gets searched over 2,000 times every month? This tells me that agents are looking for reasons why agents leave exp so they can avoid making the same mistakes.
    As someone who’s been inside eXp Realty for nearly five years, I see agents leave the company daily. I’ve also spoken to many of them to find out why.
    In this video, I’ll outline seven reasons agents leave eXp Realty so you can decide if it’s the right fit for you before moving.

    Great video ! I have been with eXp Realty now for 1 year + after being at 2 other brokerages in my 4 years of Real Estate. I was looking for ongoing education and a group that understands the growing need for technology and how to help navigate it. I was at smaller brokerages that had offices but I would go sit at the office and attend the meetings but the educational process was so slow! I actually learned about executing contracts in eXp World within the first month! My advice on the mentoring program is to interview the Mentors and eXp admin. will change your Mentor if they are not benefiting you. I went from being Mentored to being on the Mentor's Team and loving it.

    Here are my reasons why EXP agents leave.
    1. Not having a good mentor to help new agents.
    2. Sponsor signs you up and leaves you hanging
    3. Brokers don't answer your emails. No support
    4. Difficulty with the cloud base
    5. The bad taste in the mouth of people hearing about trying to be recruited to exp
    6. Systems and paperwork overwhelms agents.

    I was recruited by a person who did not support me. I had 3 years of experience and a capper. They set un realistic expectations, and basically left me out to swim. My best friend was HONEST about what she would provide in her upline. The sponsor I chose fed me a ton of fancy BS and I went to them, only to feel abandoned. I wish eXp allows people to change their upline, instead of rewarding agents that con other agents with false support. This is why want to leave. I need a better upline. Mine sucks.

    • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 2 lety +2

      Sorry to hear this Allison. I can totally understand the desire to want to switch upline’s. I can also see from eXp standpoint how with over 82,000 agents this could also cause a ruckus and create different issues if allowed. Go above your sponsor as 7 levels above you also benefit from your success. Also, utilize workplace and meet people outside your rev share group as many people will help regardless of your upline.

    • @cafelate9515

      This Exp realty agent literally told me that I could not generate listing leads in my own neighborhood, he used to live here, he even told me that I can not generat listing leads in another neighborhood where he is living now! This is so outrageous! I was at a point to join Exp Realty, now I don't want to waste my time with them. This agent basically told me that I can only try to generate listing leads at other neighborhoods, not where I live, that is his territory because he used to live here.

    Great video, Kyle! I spoke with an eXp agent yesterday about the company, and I plan to move soon. I currently have a great website and lead flow where I live and work, but I am relocating to a new state. The benefits of eXp for an agent licensed in multiple states are superior to any other brokerage I know! I will be licensed in three states total (possibly four before the end of 2023) and the eXp system not only has me thinking bigger, it has made my vision possible in the first place. Looking at multiple desk fees, caps, and systems with traditional independently owned brokerages had me thinking my idea was impossible. Having an eXp agent in my current market that can work my website leads when I am not available is icing on the cake. Even though it is exciting and seems like a great idea, I am nervous about taking this all on. However, pushing myself and growing my business is important, and my current plan seems like a step in the right direction. #endcrew

      It's wonderful to hear about your enthusiasm and plans to join eXp Realty! Your dedication to expanding your real estate business is commendable, and eXp's model can indeed be a game-changer for agents licensed in multiple states. The flexibility, support, and collaborative opportunities offered by eXp can make your vision a reality.
      It's entirely normal to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness when taking on a new venture, especially one that involves significant growth and change. Remember that growth often requires stepping out of your comfort zone, and it's a sign that you're on the right path. The eXp community and resources are there to support you as you navigate this exciting journey.

    Reasons I have heard are that some not all Sponsors/Mentors don't really do what they are supposed to do for new agents under them. Mentors are more concerned about adding people under them, like an MLM. The more agents, the better for them. Some don't even use all of the tools/programs provided to agents by eXp therefore, they are unable to truly assist agents under them. Thank God for your videos which I, along with many others I'm sure, watch for further teachings. I will not leave eXp because they are a great brokerage.

    • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 2 lety +4

      100% agree. Thanks Marta! I will say though too that there are always two-sides to the coin. Some agents say that and I'm sure maybe are correct but also some say it and probably didn't try to plug-in as much as they could/should have. I mean even agents in my group, I'll pour into but I can't help those I don't know need help. But if sponsors are saying one thing and not available to deliver on their promises, that's a whole different thing. I appreciate your comment!

      @@martaotero6285 That's precisely why the EXP model is doomed to fail. If you're responsible for everyone you bring aboard learning and being successful, you can't maximize the time it takes for you to be successful. KW is geared towards you bringing people aboard and allowing the office to make them successful. If you're revenue focused, you need to recruit. If you're profit focused, you need to sell real estate. More people are figuring this out.

    I was with Exp for six years and I left is because I saw something different about another company LPT Realty. I was never in Exp for rent shares because I didn’t ever recruit anybody so that wasn’t the reason I join Exp even though I did get stock with the company. As to the mentorship, I was a mentor and I could tell people that really wanted it then usually the ones really didn’t want it then last like any other job, but I thought that had a great program for teaching as much as you wanted to know, and I think they had is just as good a virtual office spaces as most video games. But Lpt Realty is a hybrid company so you can choose the Exp of residuals or a flat fee commission plus what interest in me was the 168 item listing box that you get every time you list the house plus no monthly fees and there is training pretty much every day. So it away by leaving Exp I was saving $150 a month and using that for other lead generating programs but again have nothing to say bad about Exp.

    • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 9 měsíci

      I completely understand your concerns about choosing the right path and receiving the support you need as a new agent. It's not uncommon to feel confused or apprehensive when you're starting a new endeavor, especially in a field as dynamic as real estate.
      Before your video call with the recruiter, I'd suggest preparing a list of questions and concerns you have regarding the support they'll provide to new agents. You could ask about training programs, mentorship opportunities, resources, and what to expect during your initial days and weeks as part of the team.
      Remember, it's perfectly okay to voice your concerns and ask for clarification during the call. This can help you make an informed decision about whether this opportunity is the right fit for you. Best of luck with your conversation, and I hope you find the support and guidance you're looking for in your new real estate venture! 🏡🤝👍

Your decision to leave eXp Realty in search of a different environment that aligns better with your career goals is a thoughtful one. Building experience and gaining a clearer understanding of what you're looking for in a brokerage can be valuable steps in your real estate journey.

Exploring different options and finding the one that resonates with you can lead to a more fulfilling and successful career. It's best if you can hook up with one in your area where you can shadow them as well if possible, but there are also a LOT of great mentors who will work with you virtually. Be sure to interview them to find the best fit for you & the one who'll help you meet your goals.

      I never meet with clients in office. Always at their home or the property were showing or the title company when we close. Pretty much everything can be done without an office. If you can’t work from home due to distraction that could be the biggest thing to consider.

    The other thing that I would say, is, you’ve gotta have some type of relationship with the person that you decide to partner with. If you don’t, and it’s somebody, just arbitrarily that you met online or solicited you that might not be the best thing to do. I can’t elaborate more than that and I’m not about to recruit anybody. I’m just telling you that you’ve got a trust the person that you’re aligned to, but that would be the same as if you went to some brokerage and you don’t really like the broker who would do that it’s the same thing

    • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 7 měsíci

      Absolutely, building a strong relationship and trust is essential when considering a partnership, whether it's with a colleague, mentor, or within a brokerage. It's crucial to align with someone whose values, goals, and working style resonate with yours. Taking the time to establish trust ensures a more productive and positive partnership. Your advice about being cautious, especially when approached online or through solicitations, is valuable. Trust is the foundation of any successful collaboration. • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 2 lety +2

      Most all tech stocks have dropped by a wide margin in the last 12 months. Also, 12 months ago eXp stock did a 2 for 1 stock split. This hyped the stock up (higher than it probably should have). I think the price today is reflective of the company's true value (which is still up massively over the last 24 months). Which indicates the company is still doing very well. I'd recommend you look more into the actual profit the company is generating which continues to increase. Also, rev share is independent of stock price. Rev share performs based on commissions earned by agents not the stock price. I've been here nearly 5 years and the stock price has gone up and down and that hasn't had any correlation to the amount of revenue share i've received. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for commenting!

    I totally agree with everything that’s written here I could write a book about this. If you’re gonna go to the large brokerage firm, and I don’t care where it is, they’re going to tell you the same methodology that’s so old and so antiquated to get business. Calling expired FSBOs. Seriously when’s the last time you answered the phone from somebody that you didn’t know? You’ve got to set up a business where you’re talking to people. You need to be out there speaking to people and doing something as simple as asking people if they have a real estate agent if they say no then say this is what I do would it be OK if I have time to time sent you information on what’s going on in the real estate market. There are 99% of the population is not going to do Real Estate right now. If you’re going to chase that one you’re gonna go out of your mind. It is not a get rich quick gig. If you’re desperate for money, being a real estate agent is not a good move. You’re better off being an Uber driver or working at a store

    People in the business should learn how to pronounce it`s name it is not REALLATOR IT IS Realtor !

    • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 9 měsíci

      You're absolutely right, and pronunciation is important, especially in the real estate industry. The correct pronunciation of "Realtor" is indeed "REE-uhl-ter." It's a professional term, and using the correct pronunciation adds to your credibility and professionalism as a real estate agent.

    Yikes this video basically says it’s all the agents fault why agents are fleeing… exp won’t be around for long

    • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 9 měsíci

      I appreciate your comment and your perspective on the video. It's important to note that the real estate industry, like any other, can be complex and multifaceted, and there are many factors at play. While the video might have focused on the role of agents, it's not necessarily saying it's entirely their fault. In any industry, success depends on a combination of factors, including the support and infrastructure provided by the brokerage, market conditions, and the individual efforts of agents.

      He’s 100% correct and what are you saying here this is true with any of the large real estate firms that you. I was at c21 and they had tons of tools. Then I went to Coldwell Banker and had to learn another set of tools being technical this type of stuff doesn’t bother me. It’s like going from one corporation to another but if you never done this in your life, I can see how it could be overwhelming. if you’re an older agent, I would suggest doing something like this I would say stay with mom and Pop and be happy nothing wrong with a flip phone.

    • @salesinthesandwithchuckbur5402
      @salesinthesandwithchuckbur5402 Před 7 měsíci

      I totally disagree with you Johnathan agents who fail fail for one reason being a real estate agent is being a small business owner unless you’re gonna work for your mom who happens to be a real estate agent. It’s gonna hold your hand. It’s not how it works. You have to do work. You’ve gotta talk to people. You’ve gotta make phone calls. You’ve got a hustle. There is no money in real estate. It’s work hard work.

    • @KyleHandy
      @KyleHandy  Před 9 měsíci

      If you're referring to a specific situation or issue, it's important to remember that individual experiences can vary, and it's not always the fault of a particular real estate brokerage like eXp Realty. Real estate transactions and experiences involve various factors, including the property, the market, the client's needs, and the professionals involved.

    One of my Clients got Scammed by Matthew Jordan Rivera of eXp Realty. They somehow found him as a "General Contractor" in San Marcos CA. Came for a Painting Job with Two Mexicans from the Home Depot Parking Lot and two Rollers...to paint a 3 Bedroom, Two Story House. This is my only experience with them, never heard of them before and I work in the business. Is this representative of the business these people do????
