If Tom Landry's hat doesn't motivate you, I don't know what will The meme is at 33 seconds. There. I saved you from typing the same comment everyone else makes.
I've always loved Scorpio's character, if for no other reason than that he was a complete inversion of the stereotypical boss. Where the stereotypical boss is terrible to his employees and nice to everyone else, Scorpio is fantastic to his employees and an evil menace to everyone else. Such a fun character too.
Well if you think about it. How do you think villains always have so many scientists and henchmen? Theyre probably very nice to their employees. Good benefits good pay short commute times
Hank Scorpio was the best character ever, he was a both a great cool, nice boss/eccentric millionaire and psychotic Bond villain. The fact he can switch back and forth between the two roles like that just makes it funnier and they did a great job finding the comedy in that with his relationship with Homer. Funny he can be so nice and really cares for Homer and his employees yet he's also a cold, crazy and evil super villain. Shame he was only ever in one episode but damn what an episode, no other one episode appearance has been this good.
+MIGHTYBOOSCH198 Oh he returned in the comics several times, setting up a fake resort for the rich which he then replaced with look alike actors to clean out their bank accounts, and in another story he had a orbital satellite armed with a laser weapon capable of destroying cheese. France surrendered in a matter of minutes.
I think the aspect of Hank Scorpio that I like the most is that he really, genuinely cares for Homer. He treats him extremely well and is very nice to him. It's almost like he knows that Homer gets away with everything because Homer is just so darn lucky, and Hank completely sees that as a skill or qualification of sorts. And while everybody sees Homer as dumb, Hank knows how to make the best of it and benefits from it tremendously, even killing "Bont" when he normally would have escaped.
There's this concept that almost all humour is based on subverting expectations. Hank Scorpio is a congenial caring and fantastically supportive boss, the guy you wish you had to deal with in your day to day drudgery to make a living. He's also a Bond villain willing to commit acts of terror to achieve his sinister goals. These things literally subvert your expectation about the character and therefore are hilarious. Another great way to see this concept in action is to look at the Road Runner and Coyote. Think of all the times his gadgets malfunction in ways that are physically impossible, like the painted tunnel on a rock wall that the Road Runner goes through, then he can't go through. Him sawing something off that should lead the Road Runner to fall but instead an entire side of a mountain falls leaving the Road Runner defying gravity.

Hank Scorpio has been an inspiration to me, as has his technology company. One of my wildest dreams has been to establish a top-secret Area 51-like technology laboratory whose goal, in addition to the development and production of other new technology, would be the biggest goal and project to build some kind of huge giant machine with the help of which it would be possible to bring cartoon characters to life. The most important and largest halls, halls of its base are located underground and there animated characters are brought to life, in such a way that they are intelligent and like what they are in their own TV series and movies, with all the cartoon characters with their stretching, flattening and other endurance special abilities, superpowers and they can speak all the languages in which they are dubbed, and with the voice of the actor of that particular country and the most advanced mind control/transformation technology, we remove satirical, sadistic, evil, stupid, jerky and lazy-over-kind-baby traits from their personality and change them, adding some others in their place character traits and skills and otherwise we shape them in mind and manners to behave like a real modern person and so that they want to remain that way in terms of their personality completely voluntarily. Then we train them with basic and high school university and vocational training in the hobbies and professions they want, and in this way we make them decent socially fit citizens in our center, and in addition to that, they practice future acting for possible future sequels to be produced from their old films and TV series and for remakes, that the way cartoon series and movies are made changes in such a way that the characters in the scenes of that series or movie are actually living cartoon characters Actors and the scenes are created, filmed in cartoon-like, or modern Green Screen or some kind of possible future virtual-digital-holographic-reality sets (so that during acting one would feel like cartoon characters possibly as if they were living the life they used to live before they were brought, by this technology company of mine, to work and live here in our world) So that the phenomenon would be similar to the movies Who framed Roger Rabbit and Chip'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2022 And among the human and animated scientists working on science at my base, there is also Hank Scorpio, who I would have asked to build a beam weapon similar to the ones built on the base using Earth technology, in addition to the sci-fi weapons created with Alien technology copied from movies and series and brought here to real life, and Homer would work at my base in addition to the profession of an actor for future episodes of the Simpsons training cartoon series, but also in such a similar department in a similar motivational job as in this episode at Globex. A pretty wild dream, isn't it, and I strive to be just like Hank Scorpio to my employees.

For the love of God bring him back he's the greatest side character ever
He was supposed to be the villain of the movie.
who? mr. scorpion?
*Reat in peace ☮️ Phil’s Hartman.*
Greatest episode ever.
"Oh my goodness, why didn't I think of that?"
Then we train them with basic and high school university and vocational training in the hobbies and professions they want, and in this way we make them decent socially fit citizens in our center, and in addition to that, they practice future acting for possible future sequels to be produced from their old films and TV series and for remakes, that the way cartoon series and movies are made changes in such a way that the characters in the scenes of that series or movie are actually living cartoon characters Actors and the scenes are created, filmed in cartoon-like, or modern Green Screen or some kind of possible future virtual-digital-holographic-reality sets (so that during acting one would feel like cartoon characters possibly as if they were living the life they used to live before they were brought, by this technology company of mine, to work and live here in our world)
So that the phenomenon would be similar to the movies Who framed Roger Rabbit and Chip'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2022
And among the human and animated scientists working on science at my base, there is also Hank Scorpio, who I would have asked to build a beam weapon similar to the ones built on the base using Earth technology, in addition to the sci-fi weapons created with Alien technology copied from movies and series and brought here to real life, and Homer would work at my base in addition to the profession of an actor for future episodes of the Simpsons training cartoon series, but also in such a similar department in a similar motivational job as in this episode at Globex.
A pretty wild dream, isn't it, and I strive to be just like Hank Scorpio to my employees.
It‘s gonna be difficult to get those hammocks up, Homer. Because, you know, at Globex, we don‘t believe in walls.
Would it really be such a bad thing if Scorpio took over the world?
I'm the only one who got the gilligan's island refrence...
