Can a blending brush be used to smooth out the background so it looks misty/ mistier? I usually paint in watercolor but I will give this a try in acrylic. Thank you for all of your fabulous videos. 😊🎨
Yes you can use blenders. Some people like Goat but i personally finds it hold too much water and causes foaming. I like asynthetic blender but that is just me

Does this work with bottle acrylic instead of tubes?
YES but bottle paint is more liquid so do some testing to get your dry brush effect rights 🎨😱

Dude this smokey effect rules I suck with the brush and am ashamed on how much I skrew up with a brush now I can do some cool stuff thank you
I can't find zinc white anywhere. Can I simply just use Titanium white? Will it give the same effect?
You can get it but it will be much more Opaque and you'll have to use a very gentle touch. If you can't find zinc look around for mixing white as well.

Hey can you please do some without tracrables? I dont have access to a printer often
I do about half of the videos without them. Generally if I feel most people can freehand it I dont demo the traceable if i feel it would be overwhelming to a lot of beginners I use it. Its guessing thing for me mostly but I try and do my best. I will try and add more drawing to the channel

Sherpa had to change it up because of her shoulder and drs orders. Nothing to long or labour intensive.
I reallllyyyy wanted to do this but I can’t print out traceables and I dang sure can’t draw that skull all on my own cause the painting won’t come out right with my crap drawing abilities :(

I've gone down a rabbit hole hunting for any "smoke" tutorials as I'm trying to put depression onto paper.. my idea is a person with smoke around her and 'grim reaper' type hands coming out of the smoke to cover the woman's eyes.. problem is I'm struggling with the smoke.. any tips?
This is a good tutorial for smoky effects. Using mixing white or zinc white with golden glazing gloss and just practicing. 🌺
I'm giving up on acrylic. I can't get my Bob Ross on. Going to buy oil. Can't imitate his techniques.
