Laying all of your anxiety's cards on the table, and then dealing with them one by one was something I've never done, and am going to try. You've developed a strategy to use which is helpful. I'll be checking out some of you're earlier videos. 🌹🌹🌹

Wow, Dr. Scott. Thank you for being so open and vulnerable. It was helpful to see how you let all the anxiety come out, then counter. I could really see you calming down as you worked through the process. I am gonna try that too - letting anxiety have the floor fully before countering. I get so worn out combating thoughts because it's one wave crashing after another and constantly pulling me down so I can't breathe... but letting all the waves wash over me and then fighting back up to the surface may be more efficient. Hmm.
To your question of impromptu vids, you do you. I'm a fan of well thought out content like your usual material, but spontaneous raw advice is helpful from time to time. If you feel moved by something and want to share, by all means. We're hear to listen and support you too. 😊

I like the idea of making the anxiety "speak" first. It is like a courtroom. Perhaps I can think of my decisions that cause anxiety in this way.
You reminded me of my ex-husband, who started his own medical practice 12 years ago. I can relate to everything you mentioned. The one thing that always stuck with him was something a speaker at his graduation ceremony said. I don't know where it comes from, but regarding your own clinic, she said, "If you build it, they will come." So, you know you're competent. It's just a matter of getting those patients to walk through the door.
Your field is highly in demand, so I'm sure those factors will make you successful. Just make sure you have a good bookkeeper. Lol. All the best, Dr. Scott.🙂

It REALLY helped to see how your mental conversation go as you go through moment of anxiety as it is hitting you. Since we can't see other people's mind, it was a very rare opportunity to see how you, someone who is managing a life with anxiety and stuff (as I have been for decades, still struggling quite unsuccessfully at age 50), walk through a moment of anxiety to calm it down. RESONATED! Sorry for the ALL CAPS! Your words give me and many of us a huge dose of kind, compassionate side of reality towards ourselves, that we dismiss, overlook so easily and freeze up about taking healthy risks. I remember the day I drove off from my workplace of 15+ years and feeling like I was out of prison. It was a sudden move for me and had not yet planned what to do. It's been over 20 years now since that day and I think subconsciously, I had hidden strength on my innate skills, like art, illustrations and love for animals. I wish you all the very best in your journey and each day brings new beginnings regardless of how the previous day was like! I am so happy for you!!!

Dr. Scott, straight to the point, absolutely it was beneficial. To actually see the tools put into action is immensely helpful to me. I would never have thought to do this. If I'm being honest, and I am, I would have run to the medicine cabinet and gotten a Valium or gotten one out of the pillbox I carry in my pocket. To see and hear it done step by step is the best way for me to learn. Hopefully, the next time anxiety rears its ugly head, which will be some time tomorrow, I will be able to do what you have just shown me to do. This is great stuff. Please keep doing this type of video. I firmly believe that an incredible number of people will benefit just like I have. You are so needed in my world and many, many others. It was scary but it also motivated me and everyday afterwards I had the same fear as I looked in the mirror every morning but made peace with it for the day and succeded. Fast forward to 50 and a life changing event caused me to be my wife’s FT caregiver. I learned something I wish I knew back when I was your age and that is how precious life is and how little money means in the whole scope of things, now the kids are on their own and I finally get it… life is funny and God must have a real sense of humor. Just remember to know you’re going to make it no matter what everything will work out but more importantly enjoy your life now, take time with your wife and kids now, the money will always be there. Good luck and enjoy!

Had my own business for 27 years . Been able to make an income. Worst part was paying for health in.
Also made money through ad sence. So many people are making a ton of money through this avenue. Probably could support ur family easily. Infact many make so much money, they live in very upper class style.
    It's amazing.
A ba in psychology and graduate work. I know people would be using u as a therapist in a heart beat. Ur well spoken and clear. Easy too understand. I would be happy to be a client if u took ins. So will thousands of others. Many can afford pay good money.
I know this is perfect for you.

I had to start my own business cleaning business and I was 60 under 65 I kept my house my business was good. I did OK. It was very scary but I did it, there’s always something remember there’s always something

I believe in your successful new venture. I took a leap a few years ago, and brought a business from near failure into a successful business. I invested 4 years without pay, and built up a nice cushion for the business. I succeeded and was/am incredibly proud. Unfortunately, this business was in my brother's name, and he came back when it was successful and cut me out completely. He ran it into the ground and sold what was left. This is where i am left now, trying to find a way back to where i was a success. Doom and gloom, but i still have hope, and need to work on myself to come through the trauma.

candid cam is good and real and connects - it is also useful to think of a 'part' (of me) is anxious (usually a younger part and work through that with someone / yourSELF when time allows) - that part usually doesn't understand YOU (SELF) is much older and more resourced now to deal with these challenges - you(we) got this (or can take mitigation).

My social anxiety always ends up offending people. Today I went to the store where there was a self checkout just to avoid people. The woman worker seemed so offended. She probably thought I was snubbing her for some reason, but I really just have an extreme phobia of people. Every time I offend people it makes my anxiety worse. And so the cycle continues...

Yes your sharing this was very beneficial! How you ran through your process is so much more helpful than giving advice. It’s relatable. It’s talking with, not just to. It’s so much more understandable. Congratulations on this decision. I’ve no doubt you’ll be successful. You’ve given yourself permission to succeed. Anxiety be damned!

Your videos have been very helpful. I haven't ruminated at all today, which is incredible to me. I been ruminating and having insomnia for about two years and last night I actually slept better than I've slept in a long time.

Congratulations! 🎉 That’s really exciting (and painfully scary!). Thanks for walking us through your process. Very helpful. I want to thank you for helping me get back to work after 4 years of being unable to after a PTSD diagnosis. You said people with mental health issues need to arrange their schedules around managing symptoms (I’m paraphrasing) 😊. But that changed my perspective big time. It gave me agency. I started to schedule my whole day around getting well. I added virtual emdr to my day. It feels quite miraculous that I’m now back to work as a school psychologist and managing my symptoms quite well. Panic is all but gone! Thank you so much for what you do. ❤
