That shot of getting the belt on the pully was epic! Great job, and so helpful. I have a model built similarly enough to this one it saved my bacon.
Thank you, that camera shot really did help!
saved me! single mom of 2 and this just happened to me over the weekend. Handy man wants $200 just to come out plus parts! thank you!
The attention to detail in this video is awesome!! Specially the shot inside the dryer while putting the belt. Thank you for documenting this with such a great care and detail.
This video was great in helping me fix my broken belt.
After running unpredictably for some time, my Kenmore, today, refused to budge. With Ron's help I took it apart (and put it back together). The 4 drum rollers and idler pulley had accumulated not only lint but also hair choking their shafts. This surely caused my dryer to occasionally shut down prematurely. Cleaned and lubed, it's spinning smoothly like I forgot it could. One of the rollers is worn peculiarly, so I will probably order a new set and belt. Couldn't have done it without you, Ron. Thanks.
Thanks for the kind words and glad that I could help.
Great and super helpful video! Yes, the shot of the belt, motor and tension pully with not only the tumbler out, but the actual getting the belt on was huge! It was a feeling out of this world when accomplished! Very well done and so appreciate it to get our lives back in order, thank you!
Your Welcome
Awesome tutorial. Only video I found that shows putting the belt on first and blindly fishing the belt around the tensioner and pulley. Huge help. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing from star to finish, I couldn't have completed the job without you. You should be nominated for an Oscar or something and thanks for saving me $300 in labor cost. Thanks again!
Thank you for this video. Because of it I was able to fix my friend's dryer. It needed the idler/tensioner pulley replaced. And I replaced the belt while I was there. I wouldn't have known how to it without that excellent shot from the back showing exactly how to do it. Even so, getting the belt routed properly was still
a hugh pain.
Extremely helpful. Especially with that back camera shot of hooking up the belt.
Thanks! that was a bit difficult to get the shot but I new that if I was watching I would like to see that as well, Thanks for watching.

Thanks very much for this. As you probably know, it's a challenge to find the right video for the specific dryer that you need. This one fits the bill for me and was a tremendous help in figuring out how to get into the dryer itself. Thanks for putting this together.
Your welcome!
Thank you! Your video is the only one that shows my dryer and exactly how to fix it. My wife wanted to run out and buy a new one. ( $700.00 ). We just bought a new washer .
You are welcome!
Thank you Ron, as others have said, the instructions and the video shots were very helpful. One snag I ran into was that I reversed the drum when re-installing. Seemingly not a problem, but noticed that the belt was now running over some screw heads afterwards, thought it may cause wear to the belt. So... dammit, pulled it all apart again and flipped the drum, now operating perfectly. To avoid this, viewers may wish to mark the front of the drum, or pay more attention than I did. Thanks again!
That was awesome. I have a 700 kenmore dryer. I replaced the thermostat and the coils last year 2022. Now I will replace the belt today 1/8/2023 cause the belt broke. Great video!
Very cool!
@@channelron3593 believe it or not. I am impressed at myself. It worked! I really dit it!
Just wanted to say Thank You! followed step for step with success! (although my model is a different number (90 series), the door switch was different, but no issues). We almost assumed it would be the motor due to the age, but was just the belt. bought 2 belts. 30 bucks vs a new machine! :) i'm not a handy person, but your instructions were clear, took away plenty of intimidation. Still some, but all good. :)
Glad it helped! it's all about saving money now a days (:
Your video is hands down the most useful and helpful video on repairing this type of dryer on the entire internet. I can't say how much I appreciate your work at putting this video together! I can't imagine how much it would it cost to have someone come out and repair that. Keep up the good work! Liked And subscribed!
You are very welcome! and thanks for your support.
Thanks for this video. The close up of how to get the belt around the motor and tensioner pulley was a life saver. Thought i had bought to long of a belt until i watched this video.
Exactly what I dealt with. This video saved me time from making another Amazon order.
This step by step video was so helpful. I fixed my dryer for 26 bucks! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Just used this to replace the belt on my dryer. Way better video than any other I found. Being able to do this myself probably saved me $300. Thank you!
You're welcome!
I wanted to thank you for your excellent how-to. Everything was spot on and helped me make quick work replacing the belt. One recommendation, I couldn't easily get my arm in on the left side so getting the belt on the tensioner was next to impossible. I tie-wrapped the tensioner pulled to the left which made getting the belt on a snap. Once it was on, I was able to easily cut the tie-wrap.
Just got done with this. This explanation is perfect. I couldn't have done without. Thanks.
Glad it helped!
Thank you for keeping this video up. Only a few minor differences between my machine and yours. I have no quick disconnect fitting… I also replaced my guide wheels since I had it apart. When installing the new belt I had to do it with a single hand. Only took 3 tries! Thank you for the great video
Thanks Ron for a great helpful and informative video. Because of a shoulder injury I was not able to lay on the floor and wrap the belt on the pulley. My solution was to put the top back down, then lean the dryer against the wall, so I could reach in with my hands while standing. I used a bit of tape to hold the belt in place on the top of the drum so it did not slide back when I tilted the dryer. Once the belt was in place and the dryer back on the floor, I lifted the top and removed the tape.
Great Idea may have to try that! thanks for the tip.
Ron, I can't thank you enough. Outstanding work. Just what I needed.
My exact dryer. Great video. Changing the belt and door switch tomorrow.
Great video! The only one I saw online that detailed every step. Especially the tricky belt hook-up. Thanks so much for posting!!!
Your welcome!
Thank you so much for this video. Your detailed step-by-step directions helped me replace the belt and get my dryer running again!
You're welcome!
Only thing bout putting the door on b4 gettin the belt on the pulley is that if you have big hands and forearms like me you will have to do it 1 handed bcuz you will not be able to reach on the left. I think putting something under the drum as you replace the belt keeping the drum in place while you get the belt on will make it easier on gettin the door back in if you go that route replacing the belt b4 putting the door back on. But This is absolutely the BEST video showing the easiest and clearest directions to disassemble the dryer and how to remove the drum and put it all back in.
Thank You!
@@channelron3593 no thankyou sir. Saved me alot of time and work watching this !
Thanks buddy 3 years later still helping out
Thank you! I needed to change my rollers and as B Munny said below, the shot of getting the belt on was fantastic. Thank you!
Wonderful detailed and while my Kenmore is 800, your video is exact for my model. I was ecstatic finding this video. The shot as others said of putting belt on pulley while drum is in the dryer is such a helpful picture. Other videos for my model show a completely different way to get at the parts which are completely wrong. Not sure why the model you worked on is perfect for my 800 series but happy I found your video. Thank you very very much.
Thanks Ron, I appreciate it! Getting my belt on was a bit of a challenge but I got the job done. Your video was very helpful.
Thanks! and thanks for supporting my channel (:
The belt details is what sets you apart from the rest! Thank you 👍
Thank you! I just used your other video to replace the thermal fuse (I assumed that was the problem since the dryer was improperly vented & overheating). Well, DERP, I just looked inside again and finally noticed the hose was broken. Of course it's Black Friday and everything is closed, but I will be using your video to replace with a new hose on Monday. Thanks for the great, easy to follow vids!
your welcome! Glad that I could help.
I wish every how to video was as thorough and quick . You did awesome with the camera angles. thanXX man
You're welcome!
Those shots of the belt installation need to be placed in the Smithsonian, they are timeless. Thanks much for this video
You bet
Saved my bacon with this one. The belt was an $8 part... a new dryer like the one we have was quoted at $950. Took me a couple of times to get the hang of hooking up the new belt with the tension wheel, but the dryer runs like a top. Thanks much!
Your welcome!
Thanks so very much for your help. My same make model dryer belt broke, and I used your video many times to take the dryer apart and then put it back together. It worked!
Glad that I could help, and thanks for checking out my channel (:
Amazing video i was in awe at the amount of detail you gave. Wonderful explanation. The hardest part for me is getting that pulley and my jaw droppped when you got the shot from behind so helpful thank you very much!
Your welcome it was a hard shot to get (: glad that I could help, thanks for watching.
Great video! Straight forward and to the point, with perfect camera angles. Thank you for the time you put in to this and sharing your knowledge. You definitely
We are so thankful your video helped us fix our own dryer 😀🙏🏼👌
Great video, very helpful. Got it done in one hour, Thank you! The idler pulley was sticking and the belt was screaming. Nice and quiet now!
THANK YOU!!!! Spent the day tearing down and rebuilding the Dryer. It is working at the moment.
Glad that I could help (: thanks for supporting My channel.
Thank you Ron. Had to take mine apart to clean it and this came I extremely handy heck I also changed both belts while I was at it.
Wow, that was so helpful, thank you. The video was perfect and as someone else already said, the camera view looking from the inside out as you put the belt on was epic.
You're very welcome!
Thanks for sharing Ron
Thank you so much for this video. Very easy to follow instructions with useful tips along the way. Appreciated the video shot from inside the dryer - for showing how to attach the belt blind. You saved me $250. Great work.
Your welcome!
Thanks for the fantastic video especially on threading the pulley as without the video it wouldnt have been easy. All fixed new motor pulley and belt fitted with this tutorial & dryer is up and running!! Yay! Thank you!!
Glad it helped
Hey Ron. Thank you so much for this vid. I have basically the same dryer and was able to replace the broken belt and took the opportunity to replace the door switch also which had failed quite a while ago (I was still able to use the dryer). Your video is awesome...I used it step by step to fix my dryer. Works like a champ now. The only thing...and a very very minor one...is the low volume. The music competing with your voice doesn't help. I hope you take this as constructive criticism...that's the intent. Again, GREAT video...thank you!!
Thanks, and Thanks for the input
Thanks Ron! You helped me fix my dryer today!
Thanks you for supporting my channel, and I am glad that I could help.
Wow, best tutorial ever in this genre, I made my repair and it was the first time I was fixing a dryer, thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
Seriously, thank you. Got my dryer running again!
Your welcome! Glad that I could help.
Outstanding Video !!! Thanks for posting.
Outstanding video. Could not have done it without it. I was unable to get the belt on the pulley from the front as you showed, so I punched out the left knockout and was able to get the belt on fairly easy. Thank you so much.
Glad it helped! and thanks for supporting my channel.
Thanks man. Deeply appreciated.
Thanks for the help! Job done.
This helped me fix my problem! Thank you so much!!! My pulley was mangled and needed replacement. Your video was very well explained and easy to follow. Thanks again!
Perfect!! Thanks for taking the time to do the video. This 'center belt' dryer is different than any other I could find on youtube.
Glad I could help! And thanks for supporting my channel
Great video Thanks, it's really easy to do it with your guidance, I replace the belt and ended up to require just lubricant on the Polley my dryer was super noisy, though was the belt but not.
Great video! Thank you
Never take this video down. 🤗 Came in handy twice!
you saved the day , getting the belt on ,our pulley frooze up ,thank you
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful in replacing the belt on my Kenmore. I haven't worked on many dryers but it seems like a bad design. It's so hard to get my hands in there to get the belt on the idler pulley. Couldn't have done it without the visual.
You are welcome! Thanks for supporting My channel (:
Thanks man! Just changed out my drive pulley. Your video really helped!!!
glad that I could help! Thanks for watching.
Great Video. Worked out perfect. Thank You
Very helpful Ron

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Because of you I am a first class dryer repairman!
Video helped me out, thank you! 😎
Great video, thanks for creating it and sharing your experience. I am replacing a heater element, but need to reinstall the belt, this was a great study prep before I go out with part.
Glad it helped
I bought a dryer and he said there was a vibration. Noticed after getting it home the screws were loose inside the machine to attach the cord glad I asked for another $10 off his asking price to get my hour back tearing the machine apart many people giving away used dryers this seems better built and still had the dryer rack inside the dryer for smaller items which I was excited to find
Just replaced the belt tonight successfully because of this video! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thank you!!!!!! I so used this and I’m feeling like a pro!!!!
Just fixed my dryer with the help of this video. Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
The pulley step was hard. After fussing for at least 10 minutes, I got a small rope and looped it around the pulley making it easier top pull the pulley spring all the way up with my left hand, simplifying the task of wrapping the belt around it with my right. Thx for the great video.
Your Welcome.
I agree. I have had to replace the belt and thermal sensors on several occasions, necessitating taking the dryer apart each time. The HARDEST part is manipulating the belt while holding tension on the spring arm. I noted that in this video, the fan shroud was removed giving more room to access the motor and spring arm. I wish there was an easier way....
VERY Helpful. Thanks so much
Your welcome! getting the shot underneath was hard but well worth it (:
Great job!! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
This made my cleaning in my dryer so much easier thanks to your video. Appreciate it sir.

Damn this really worked !! Thermostat was bad !!! It cost only 10.00 !! Found 25 in Dryer( in change)!! Paid for itself!! thanks for posting this !!
(: Glad that I could help
Awesome video - thank you! I was able to get the job done by watching your video.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video. It's best tutorial for this model of dryer.
You are welcome!
i couldnt fit my arms through and 0:03 around the back with the door assembly attached to put the belt on so i took the door assembly back off and jacked the drum in place with a 3/4 piece of plywood. this lifted the drum just enough to easily reach behind. otherwise this saved us $$$$ as a dyi. btw, sears parts had the belt over$30 with shipping and tax. Amazon? $15.😊
Thanks so much !!! You're video is a big help.
Your Welcome! and thanks for watching.
Fantastic and informative video. Your video was a great help!
My problem was they shipped the belt in a small bag all bound up and I couldn't get the belt to relax so ended up using three pieces of tape on the drum to keep it in the right direction but other than that piece of cake. (My belt was from Amazon. Not who you recommended). Much Thanks :)
Glad that I could help!
At the 5:12 spot of the video was a lifesaver!!!! Thank you!
Good video. I saved $150 labor fee....No service man called since 2002...
