Haley is an amazing singer, and this presentation was, as you said, more of a showcase than a show off! She has it all: voice quality, range, power, technique, and stage presence! One suggestion for your reactions: always back up a few seconds whenever you restart after a pause. When you're listening to an artist who packs in this much wall-to-wall goodness, any pause means you will lose something if you don't rewind a bit.
I love everything she did in this. From her vocal performance to her stage presence. It fit the whole vibe. Honestly the best cover I’ve heard of this song. They totally made it their own.
Haley is the best female vocalist to have ever performed with PMJ by far. If you loved "Creep", and obviously you did, then also treat your subscribers to Haley's covers of "Seven Nation Army" and "Oops I Did it Again" both with PMJ again. I'm sure you and your subscribers will love those two covers just as much as you enjoyed her "Creep" cover.
Amen to that 🙏
I ADORE watching vocal coach reactions to this performance!
This is the style Haley was meant for. She does two other awesome PMJ covers: Seven Nation Army & a duet with Puddles, Mad World. Please check them out.
Black hole sun is great too
Also, All About That Bass.
She's a phenomenol singer
as Winter Knight said ... "Dream On" by PostModern Jukebox featuring Morgan James is HIGHLY recommended
Haley: one of the finest female vocalists of our time, what she can do tonally and technique wise is scary. One of a kind. Haley can wail with the best of all time. loved the reaction and analysis. I would like to hear your analysis of her original "Lay it Down" her upper register is gorgeously crystal clear.
@James Stewart It's ashame people feel the need to compare great singers to each other who sing completely different. Both are excellent singers. Kudos to Angelina for being so good at her age. But this performance is by far the best ever. NO Competition, period. Even if Angelina attempted this cover it could never come close to how Haley uses every trick in singing for this performance. There's just some techniques done by Haley that Angelina hasn't yet attempted. But that's not saying one day she won't though. Give credit when due as you tried to, but don't add in an attempt to say someone else is better. 100 million views almost for this cover will deflate your attempts.
My favorite is Scott’s piano/arrangement, letting Haley control the tempo then pulling her along when needed, tasty stuff there.
She is such an amazing singer... Reminds me of the jazz singers in times past
If you carry on with PMJ, I would suggest for variety, you should check out some of the other singers that have been featured. Their version of Aerosmith's "Dream On" with Morgan James could be a good place to visit next.
But somewhere along the line "Seven Nation Army" will be a must.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely check it out =)
don't say that Morg word it makes my heart skip
@@VoxTapeStudios I second Morgan James & "Dream On". Her voice is Whitney Houston level. She's also great on "Take Me To Church" & "It's A Man's Man's Man's World". Morgan & Haley duet on "Dear Prudence", and they are part of a trio on a really fun cover of "All About That Bass". You'll love all of those, trust me.
Haley is a one of a kind .I love listening to her music .enjoyed your reaction .thumbs up to you
Thank you! so glad you enjoyed it =)
Fell in love with her on American Idol.
Listening to Haley here is like watching a fireworks show. It's all the best fireworks and it's a surprise each time the next one explodes into the sky. I love what Haley does. One of my personal favs. Great react! Cheers!
First time here thanks to the CZcams algorithms. I always enjoy a professional’s reaction to the awesomeness that is Haley. Thank you. Subbed.
I love Haley her voice is so beautiful
First take, last take. One take. Legendary.
yeah and she was sick
And at the end of a day of recording. "Maybe we should try that one?"
Absolute masterclass 😳
Haley takes you on a musical journey. She has a song called "Free" that is really good, along with PMJ "Seven Nation Army".
I just love it 🤩😍
Personally, I could just listen to Haley scatt an entire song. Love that shit
According to P.M.J this was the one and only take, amazing xxxxx
Scat, I loved the scat.
You have some power behind your voice. R.I.P earbuds. I would recommend Dream On with Morgan James/PMJ
Haley doing Jessica Rabbit. A Masterclass in every single technique, trick and tool a singer has, done to perfection, all in one song.
yeahh definitely you need to check her cover of "Seven Nation army"
This version I can hear the lyrics but original (especially live version) I can feel the emotion.
I love this performance so much. It’s like Marilyn Monroe our something. She killed it. Her scatting was my favorite part. Nice review. Enjoyed it.
I like this better than Radiohead. Hailey has an amazing voice.
Yea like any one in there right mind believes this lady could ever be a weirdo or a creep. Good grief!
Voice is good but there is nothing creep about this presentation. She is more like the person Thom refer in the original version.
And that's haley's first and only take that day
Haley is special 😊
so true!
I love this cover.
For something COMPLETELY different, check out the female fronted metal band Spiritbox. Courtney does a one take of their song "Rule of Nines." It be cool to see you discuss metal vocals
New subscriber here! I am in awe (and in love) with her voice. Have been since Idol. She is so versatile behind a mic!!
You should check out a song called "Pisces" by Jinjer. Mind-blowing! Have you done any reactions to Pentatonix, or to Home Free? Would love to see those.
I've watched studied voice coaches give technical and biological details about her vocal qualities .without them trying to sing she doe2. High school chorus was a heavy influence in my life too
She was great on American Idol. I’d love to hear you analyze Chris Stapleton Sometimes I Cry, live at the Bing Lounge. The things he does vocally are seemingly impossible.
She makes Radiohead sound like a coma
This cover isn't great because of haley's voice. Its great because she understands the song. Her tone/energy/technique is perfectly matched to the lyrics and the emotion behind them. You can dissect vibrato techniques all you want, understanding the song comes first.
Brava
Haley a d Diana Ankudinova are my two favorite singers in the universe.
For sure, please treat yourself to PMJ "Mad World", "Seven Nation Army" and "Black Hole Sun". You won't be disappointed. I came across one where she was singing a song she wrote, with her father playing guitar. She's awesome, and he's pretty great too.
I'm betting that a lot of people think that this is better than the original.
React to her cover of oops i did it again!!!!! You'll love it. Pure belting
And this was the first take. One is all she needed 🤷
And I believe she was sick when she sang this as well! She’s amazing!
The odd things about this vid most dont know . it was one shot only and she had a cold at the time.
Haley Reinhart IS Jessica Rabbit, reincarnated. Any song she does is AWESOME, but she shines when she does anything with Postmodern Jukebox. Just my opinion, but you might want to check them out. Nice Post.
Haley was Ms. Vox in the movie We Can Be Heroes 😆
oh wow that's so cool!
You should check out the song she did with Puddles Pity Party.
Following the PMJ route listen to them with Allison Young singing Mr Blue Sky.
PMJ All about the bass is really good as well
You need to hear Morgan James with Postmodern Jukebox version of Dream On.
Haley's voice does to me what Geoff Castelluci's does to you. Would love to hear them together.
She was sick and did this in one take
lara, nice reaction and excellent vocal review... this maybe one of the best covers ever done, bar none. haley reinhart especially with postmodern jukebox is incredible. . all the other haley/pmj ones are great also: "all about the bass", "habits", "black hole sun", "mad world", "seven nations army", "oops i did it again", "lovefool" and the very recent "don't speak". i think what is so phenomenal about haley is not just her amazing silk to sandpaper voice but also her character and soul that she puts into the performances. even when she uses very little acrobats, her pure raw soft voice is amazing like in the intro of "creep". you see this even more in her solo platinum cover of "can't help falling in love" for the extra gum commercial which is truly stunning and frequently described as what love sounds like. you can find it here: (czcams.com/video/_uNpEbt7w_o/video.html)
Omg if only I had a voice like hers. Jealous. 🙄😳
hahaha she definitely has an amazing voice!
Hi. Just came across your video. I was hoping you can react to Journey w/ Steve Perry, his solo work, thanks.
How about a Nightwish Reaction - "Ghost Love Score" (live at Wacken 2013). No vocal coach has failed to be "Floored" by that performance
Would suggest PMJ with Haley doing Seven Nation Army as New Orleans dirge style. As a side note, when you stop the video, please rewind a little so we and you don't miss anything.
Haley has a naturally raspy voice. Beyonce to Haley on AI ten years ago: "Your raspiness is so natural, it's not forced. You're incredible." For five years, Haley has voiced the redheaded younger son "Bill" on the Netflix animated show "F is for Family." Clip: czcams.com/video/kHDvZ3X77zU/video.html
that's so great! Thanks for sharing =)
Literally walked into room, started singing finished song, one take, walked out, was ill and thought she would give it a try. Heading past 100 million views.
No criticism of reactor here but absolute utter respect by clearly stating she herself could never approach this performance in her career would be appreciated and admired, pity.
She's truly freaking awesome. If you like her you will love Morissette Amon.
I see you haven't reacted to Nightwish - Ghost Love Score live at Wacken. Please do, you don't know what you're missing.
Wow. She just dropped a new one. Wonderful. Check it out. What are unique spin on Gwen Stefani song
Can you react to the Allie Sherlock version it's also v good imo
After watching a number of Vocal Coaches go on about "loving vocal flips"... I'm so confused! I've worked so hard on eliminating the "flip/crack" sound, because I'm not a fan of it, generally. 🤷♂️
The other one I don't get is the "love" of Falsetto. I've worked both on the more powerful Head Voice as well as extending my upper range through use of Mix. Then, if I'm singing quietly around the house, my wife goes gaga when I sing Falsetto. I just don't get it! 🤷♂️😂
The piano player usually arranges the music. Hailey and the other girl both performed this and they decided to go with Hailey.
The views ratio is 40 to 1.
There are two videos they recorded twice. "Creep" and "All About That Bass." Both recorded on the same day during a break on the first PMJ European tour. To keep to the schedule of releasing a video a week, I think. The two videos they rerecorded on #1 and #2 in terms of views. So it was a good call.
@@vidpie PMJ recorded 2 versions of Creep. First one in 2014 with Karen Marie, and the second one in 2015 with Haley Reinhart. Very similar arrangement with very different results.
Hence the 40 to 1 viewing ratio
Keep in mind she was sick on this particular day and didn't fully want to actually perform it 🤔 despite this 🙄She still went for it and clearly nailed it 👌Might be a little hint of being sick in her execution that could be detected as extra rasp...
AŞK(Sertap Erener) pls
Amy Winehouse - Back To Black (Cover by Julissa Ricart)
I'll check it out!
Have you ever heard Angelina Jordan?
I heard Haley has a cold while recording this.
She was coming off being very sick. They wanted to try it and see what would happen. This was one take and this happened
The real story czcams.com/video/MskKSH1Kf4U/video.html
@@JeffTokayer I know. I don't know why some people have to add stuff on to make it mythical. Yes, first and only take, but they'd been performing it on tour already. She wasn't sick. I forget what other nonsense people have been adding...
@@vincentsablan732 she sang Creep live only a couple of times prior to this recording.
And if you watch any of those live shows, you'll notice how different they are from this one.
So if the live shows were the rehearsal, then it shows Haley's mastery at improvising. Also, the mic used in studio is capable of picking up vocal nuances that makes this performance so special.
@@JeffTokayer I agree. I, myself, have literally watched it a hundred times. It could be one of my favorite songs EVER!!! But, if you read the comments on other reaction channels: She had the flu, she partied all night, she NEVER saw/sang this arrangement and sang it cold, heard the melody then did this...it goes on. While I absolutely LOVE this song, it doesn't need embellishments.
@@vincentsablan732 yeah. Somebody has to keep these rumors at bay.😀
A good bit of the impact resides in the flow of the build up..And that is lost when you have a trigger happy finger on the pause button
She sounded way better than you lol.
She's not going to blow out her voice ..She knows what she's doing .
Hi! Please reaction DIMASH!
It's in the works =) stay tuned =)
Good? LOL Then amazing...
I do hope you haven't seen this yet, because it will make a brilliant reaction. Please don't do any research. I'll just tell you 3 things: Ukranian; metal; female vocalist.
Jinjer - Pisces (Live Session)
czcams.com/video/SQNtGoM3FVU/video.html
Vox: "Be careful if you're doing a raspy voice"
Me: Wait 'til you hear Tatiana from Jinjer
by the way - Teacher, Teacher by jinjer czcams.com/video/oRkRwL0vjOg/video.html
Pisces is more fun to watch, if it is a first time reaction to Tati.....
@@carstenjunge1327 got old already to watch tho
Aaron, I might tend to agree, having seen it so much. BUT, I think all reactors should have an "Intro to Tatiana" video they should watch. Lol. And Pisces IS the best 1st video. From there, gosh! Teacher Teacher, the one take performance of Judgment and Punishment, I speak Astronomy, Sit stay Roll Over. So many styles!!
Yes! Jinjer is a must! Start off with Pisces, and go from there!
Love it all, except when she sings "hair" instead of "here" at about 1:30. Don't know why, but that just grates.
PMJ just dropped a new song featuring Haley a month ago.. "Don't speak" worth the reaction!!
Lady , You might Be a Vocal coach. But Haley could teach you a Lot .
So cruel.
@@JeffTokayer But true,
@@philnoel5839 listening to Haley, is a music learning experience for all of us. I'm 72 and I don't cease to be amazed by her.
@@JeffTokayer I rest my case.
man hands
Chris Kläfford next?
Singing your good,Talking not so much.
